Abstract

To provide a safety management system and a safety management method, capable of effectively preventing a contact accident between a heavy machine and an operator in a mine of a tunnel with a simpler structure.SOLUTION: A safety management system comprises imaging means 2, calculation means 3, and warning means 4. The calculation means 3 comprises object detection means 31, bounding box application means 32, risk determination means 33, and a learning model 34. The object detection means 31 detects an objective body of a heavy machine or an operator from an image imaged by the imaging means 2 on the basis of the learning model 34 that has learned a shape of the heavy machine and a revolving operation range. The risk determination means 33 determines a risk with a contact or an overlapping between bounding boxes applied to the heavy machine or between the bounding box applied to the heavy machine and the bounding box applied to the operator, as a reference.
