Abstract

To provide a soft capsule coating that contains no gelatin and is free from animal-derived ingredients, and to provide a soft capsule provided with the soft capsule coating.SOLUTION: A soft capsule coating contains iota-carrageenan and polylysine, and is free from gelatin. In the composition of the soft capsule coating, the ratio of polylysine to 100 pts.wt. of iota-carrageenan can be 62.5 pts.wt. or more and 110 pts.wt. or less.
