Abstract

SOLUTION: To provide a method for producing SiO2 powder having a particle size of 1.0 to 20.0 μm, comprising the steps of: adding CH3COOH to H2O and stirring the mixture; adding TEOS after the stirring and stirring the mixture; removing a synthetic mother liquor with a filter press and washing the mixture with H2O; and drying the mixture after the washing to obtain dry silica particle powder having a water content of 0.5% or less, and provide monodisperse, non-crystalline, spherical silica particle powder having a particle size of 1.0 to 20.0 μm and having a whiteness of 90 or more and a purity (%) of 99.9 or more.EFFECT: The large-diameter silica particles of the present invention are monodisperse particles with a similar particle size, having a smooth, spherical surface, cause no skin irritation, provide a soft feel, and are suitable for use as cosmetic scrub agents while also offering environmental benefits.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
