Abstract

To provide a liquid ejection head which includes a piezoelectric actuator and in which polarized voltage to be applied to the piezoelectric actuator can be generated from a power source for driving liquid ejection.SOLUTION: A liquid ejection head according to an embodiment comprises a piezoelectric actuator, a first switching element and a parallel diode of the first switching element. The piezoelectric actuator comprises a piezoelectric body, one terminal to which driving voltages from a drive power source for liquid ejection are applied and the other terminal to which a common potential is applied. The first switching element switches whether the other terminal of the piezoelectric actuator is connected to the ground (GND) or to a predetermined potential to be applied with the common potential or is connected to a polarized power source with a polarity opposite to a polarity of the power source for driving liquid ejection. The parallel diode performs OFF-operation in a direction in which polarized voltages from the polarized power source are blocked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
