Abstract

To provide a power line extension control method of performing control by measuring a power line end position and the tension of an end in real time, and by detecting the tensions of a wire and a power line from the inclination of a pulley or an extension device, and provide a control method for use in the method.SOLUTION: In an extension construction of a wire body such as a power line, in which a power line 3 is delivered out at one end of an extension section of the power line 3 by means of an extension car 2, and the power line is wound at the other end by means of a winch 6, a position detection device and a tension measurement device are provided at a clamped portion 4 between an extension wire 5 and the power line 3, a device for transmitting position data obtained by the position detection device and tension measurement data is provided. Further, a device for three-dimensionally detecting the inclination of a pulley 7 of each of towers 1 through which the power line 3 passes and transmitting the detected measurement data or video data obtained by a small camera, is provided on the pulley 7 or on the tower 1. A main control computer 16 receives the position data, the measurement data, or the video data.
