Abstract

To provide a cylinder block for a reciprocation engine that is excellent in light-weight property and recyclability while securing necessary slide property (wear resistance and scuff resistance), and to provide a slide member for a cylinder.SOLUTION: A cylinder block 20 includes: a cylinder block body 21 including a cylindrical cylinder bore 200 in which a piston 40 is stored so as to be capable of reciprocating; and an annular cylinder ring 22 inserted into a groove part 210 that is formed at an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder bore 200.
