Abstract

To provide a female screw forming method which can inhibit the occurrence of burrs in an incomplete screw part.SOLUTION: This female screw forming method, which is a female screw forming method for forming a female screw having, in the inner periphery surface of a through hole extending along the axial line and penetrating the object member in the axial direction, a complete screw part extending to middle position on one side in an axial direction in the thickness of an object member and an incomplete screw part connected to the tip of the complete screw part, includes: a step for forming an intermediate screw part by cutting a first stock allowance by moving a rotary tool rotating around the main axis and revolving around the axis along the inner peripheral surface; and a step for forming a final screw part by cutting a second stock allowance by moving the rotary tool along the intermediate screw part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
