Abstract
To provide a laser igniter that can more reliably prevent incorrect ignition of ignition powder due to electrical disturbances.SOLUTION: A laser igniter 10 comprises a laser beam guiding section 1, ignition powder 2, a metal case 3, and an insulating structure 5. The laser beam guiding section 1 guides the laser beam. The ignition powder 2 is ignited when the laser beam from the laser beam guiding section 1 is emitted from a front side. The case 3 accommodates the ignition powder 2 and has an opening 3c through which combustion gas from the ignition powder 2 that has been ignited flows to a rear side. The insulating structure 5 is provided inside the case 3 to separate the ignition powder 2 from an inner surface of the case 3 and is made of an insulating material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
