Abstract

To provide a protective headgear system which provides filtered air to a user.SOLUTION: A protective headgear system includes: a support body configured to be engaged with the head of a user; a face shield including an upper portion coupled to the support body and a lower portion having a lower extremity; a flexible sheet coupled to the face shield; a base carried by the support body; a first loudspeaker which is carried below the lower extremity of the face shield and is preferentially oriented away from the user; a second loudspeaker which is carried by the base and preferentially orients the user; a first voice generator which can be sensed by at least one ear of the user; and a second voice generator including a loudspeaker, in which the loudspeaker is placed below the lower extremity of the face shield and which is carried by the base so as to be generally oriented away from the user for preferential sound energy delivery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 41
