Abstract

An air conditioner provided with: an indoor unit that is installed on an indoor wall surface and that has a first heat exchanger, and a housing that accommodates the first heat exchanger; an outdoor unit that is installed outdoors and that has a second heat exchanger; a refrigerant pipe that passes through a through hole in a wall separating the interior and the exterior and that connects the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger; and a ventilation device that ventilates air in the room. The ventilation device includes: an intake part that is provided on the lower surface of the housing and takes in the indoor air; a ventilation fan that is disposed outdoors; and a ventilation pipe passing through the through hole and connecting the intake part and the ventilation fan. The intake part includes: a joint part having an opening part opening into the indoors and connected to a tip of the ventilation pipe; a filter part covering the opening part; and an air-permeable cover covering the filter part. The cover is detachably fixed to the joint part, and the filter part is detachably fixed to the cover.
