Abstract

A method, device, terminal, and storage medium for discarding virtual items in the technical field of human-computer interaction are provided. The discarding method includes: receiving a first operation on an item management control when a virtual item is not selected, where the item management control is used to trigger management of virtual items owned by a virtual object; displaying discard prompting information when the virtual items owned by the virtual object include useless virtual items, where the useless virtual items refer to virtual items that cannot be used by the virtual object; and controlling the virtual object to discard its own useless virtual items when the first operation is completed. The technical solutions provided in the embodiments of this application can shorten the time required to discard useless virtual items and improve the efficiency of discarding useless virtual items.
