AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing road structures with interlocking block paving experience displacement of paving members due to insufficient load dispersion and outflow of bedding sand, leading to rattling on the road surface.
Method used
A road structure comprising positioning members that stabilize paving blocks by abutting against them and extending into the roadbed to suppress sand runoff, with a drainage mechanism to direct rainwater away from the bedding sand.
Benefits of technology
Prevents displacement of paving members and outflow of bedding sand, reducing road surface rattling and maintaining structural integrity over time.

Abstract
To provide a road structure preventing the outflow of bedding sand under a pavement member and the displacement of the pavement member.SOLUTION: In a structure of a road in which a plurality of pavement members are laid side by side on bedding sand on a roadbed, a corner positioning member 10 of a positioning member 8 is positioned on a bedding sand 5 where the corners of four pavement blocks 4 are gathered, and a side positioning member 12 is installed in association with the side part of the pavement block 4. Vertical plates 10c, 12c extending in the direction of the roadbed are provided on the bottom surfaces of bases 10a, 12a of each member 10, 12 which are in contact with the bottom surfaces of the pavement blocks 4 and close the joints. The pavement blocks 4 are placed in square spaces formed by vertically and horizontally arranging the positioning members 8. The bedding sand 5 positioned below each pavement block 4 is surrounded by vertical plates 10c, 12c arranged along the outer periphery of the pavement block 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
