Polarizing films and elliptical polarizers

Abstract

To provide a polarization film having a special form that exhibits excellent heat resistance when used as an elliptical polarization plate.SOLUTION: A polarization film is in a single sheet form including a polarizer layer. The polarizer layer is a cured layer of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition including at least one kind of polymerizable liquid crystal compounds and satisfies an expression (1): 10>A1 / A2>2 (1) [in the expression (1), A1 denotes a maximum length of the polarizer layer in an absorption axis direction, and A2 denotes a maximum length of the polarizer layer in a direction orthogonal to the absorption axis direction within the same surface as the A1].SELECTED DRAWING: None
