Abstract

To provide a vehicle lamp system in which a vehicle-inside lamp and a vehicle-outside lamp cooperate with each other to perform performance illumination by using the existing vehicle-inside lamp and vehicle-outside lamp.SOLUTION: A vehicle lamp system comprises: turn-on control means which generates and outputs a control signal for controlling turn-on / turn-off of both of a vehicle-inside lamp and a vehicle-outside lamp; a light source drive unit which drives a light source from any lamp in a vehicle lamp group on the basis of the control signal given from the turn-on control means; an on-vehicle machine which is mounted on a vehicle and has a wireless communication function; a portable machine which can be carried to the outside of the vehicle by an occupant of the vehicle and has a wireless communication function between the on-vehicle machine and itself; and an on-vehicle network which connects the on-vehicle machine and the turn-on control means. The turn-on control means acquires position information on the portable machine via the on-vehicle network, and generates and outputs the control signal for performing illumination by making the vehicle-inside lamp and the vehicle-outside lamp cooperate with each other when entering a prescribed range.
