Abstract

To provide an abnormal heating detection system that does not require a temperature sensor and a potential difference circuit and is capable of detecting occurrence of abnormal heating with a single sensor even if there are multiple target portions being monitored.SOLUTION: In an abnormal heating detection system, a resin body 1 with a heat resistance temperature lower than that of a resin housing of an electric device 10 is disposed in close contact with or in the vicinity of a target portion M of the electric device 10. The abnormal heating detection system includes: a gas sensor 2 which is arranged in a specific closed space A common with the resin body 1 and detects gas that is discharged from the resin body 1 by being overheated by heat generation of the target portion M; and a signal output unit 3 which outputs a predetermined signal when the gas ensor 2 has performed a detecting operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
