Abstract

To improve fireproof performance during a fire.SOLUTION: A fitting comprises a frame body, a sash, and a movement regulating metal fitting. The frame body includes a vertical frame and a horizontal frame, and supports the sash in a freely openable / closable manner. The sash includes a vertically passed stile having a hollow part. The movement regulating metal fitting is attached to the horizontal frame, in a position opposing the hollow part of the stile of the closed sash, and does not obstruct opening / closing of the sash in a normal circumstance. During the fire, the fitting is swallowed by the thermally elongated stile. The fitting includes an abutting part that abuts on an inner wall of the hollow part of the stile on an indoor side or an outdoor side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

Claims

[Claim 1] The building fixture comprises a frame, a sliding door, and a movement-restricting fitting. The frame has vertical and horizontal frames and supports the sliding door so that it can be opened and closed. The sliding door has vertical stiles that run vertically and have a hollow section. The movement-restricting fitting is attached to the horizontal frame and is positioned opposite the hollow section of the vertical stile when the door is closed. In normal circumstances, it does not obstruct the opening and closing of the door. In the event of a fire, it is absorbed by the thermally expanded vertical stile and has a contact portion that abuts against the inner wall of the hollow section of the vertical stile on the interior or exterior side. A heat-expanding fire-resistant material is attached to the surface of the horizontal frame that faces the interior side of the sliding door.
