Abstract

To provide a method that properly smoothens and repairs a V-shaped groove defect generated in a furnace wall of a coke oven.SOLUTION: A V-shaped groove defect repairing method for repairing a V-shaped groove defect, which is a longitudinal crack generated in a furnace wall of a coke oven, is provided. The method comprises: a depth acquisition step of acquiring a depth of the V-shaped groove defect at a predetermined height of the furnace wall; a section estimation step of estimating a cross-sectional shape of the V-shaped groove defect based on the relationship between the acquired depth of the V-shaped groove defect, a depth of the V-shaped groove defect acquired in advance, and a width of an opening of the V-shaped groove defect; a thermal spraying frequency calculation step of calculating the minimum required number of thermal sprayings of a thermal spraying material for the V-shaped groove defect so that a position of a repaired surface of the V-shaped groove defect after repairing is less than a predetermined depth from the surface of the furnace wall based on the estimated cross-sectional shape of the V-shaped groove defect; and a thermal spraying position determination step of determining a thermal spraying position in the horizontal direction of the furnace wall to which the thermal spraying material is to be thermally sprayed so that the repaired surface of the V-shaped groove defect after the thermal spraying is the flattest when the thermal spraying material is thermally sprayed onto the V-shaped groove defect by the calculated number of thermal sprayings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

Claims

1. A method for repairing V-shaped groove defects, which are vertical cracks in the furnace wall of a coke oven, by performing a thermal spraying operation once, in which the thermal spraying material is moved while spraying, or by performing the thermal spraying operation multiple times, in which the thermal spraying position in the horizontal direction of the furnace wall is shifted, A depth acquisition step to obtain the depth of the V-shaped groove defect at a predetermined height of the furnace wall, A cross-sectional estimation step is performed to estimate the cross-sectional shape of the V-shaped groove defect based on the depth of the V-shaped groove defect obtained in the depth acquisition step and the previously obtained relationship between the depth of the V-shaped groove defect and the width of the opening of the V-shaped groove defect.
