Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a stopper that can limit the maximum output by adjusting the rotation angle of a volume knob in a volume controller that adjusts the output of a main device.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally, in a volume controller that adjusts the output of a main device, the main device can be operated at a desired output by aligning an indicator line of a volume knob with a scale displayed on the front.

[0003] Specifically, the rotary potentiometer is fixed to the front panel by sandwiching the front panel between the nut and the rotary potentiometer body by penetrating and protruding the screw portion of the rotary potentiometer from the back side of the front panel to the front side and externally fitting and tightening a nut. A volume knob is attached to a volume shaft that penetrates and protrudes the screw portion.

[0004] As a technique for limiting the maximum output of this main device, it has a cover attached to the controller and a volume knob attached to a volume shaft in a rotary potentiometer that extends from the controller and protrudes from an insertion hole formed in the cover. A plurality of symbols corresponding to the amount changed by the rotation of the volume shaft are marked in an arc shape around the insertion hole of the cover, and insertion holes corresponding to the symbols are drilled in a double and arc shape inside the symbols, and the inner insertion holes are arranged so as to be located between the outer insertion holes. An indicator line indicating any of the symbols is formed on the outer surface of the volume knob as it rotates, and a plate-shaped movable-side stopper is formed on the inner surface thereof. It can be seen that the rotation end of the volume shaft is restricted by the movable-side stopper hitting a fixed-side stopper that is selectively inserted into any of the insertion holes from the inside of the cover (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

Prior Art Documents

[0005] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 5449940 [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]

[0006] However, with the conventional technology described above, both stoppers are hidden by the volume knob, making it impossible to visually determine how far the volume knob can be turned. In other words, it was impossible to check the maximum setting without actually turning the volume knob, which presented a problem that needed to be solved. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] In view of the problem of the above-mentioned prior art in which the maximum set value cannot be visually determined, the present invention provides a movable stopper protruding from the back of a volume knob attached to the volume shaft of a rotary potentiometer in a volume controller, and a fixed stopper protruding from the front of an indicator plate rotatably attached to the screw portion of the volume controller, wherein the indicator plate has an insertion hole for the screw portion and an indicator portion for an arbitrary position on a scale displayed on the front panel of the volume controller, the length between the center of the insertion hole and the tip of the indicator portion is set to be longer than the back radius of the volume knob, and the movable stopper and the fixed stopper are able to contact each other when the line passing through the center of the insertion hole and the tip of the indicator portion aligns with the indicator line of the volume knob. The indicator plate comprises a ring plate having the insertion hole and a tip plate projecting radially from the outer circumference of the ring plate, the tip of which forms the indicator portion and the fixed-side stopper projecting from the side of the base end portion. As a result, the movable stopper and the fixed stopper are hidden by the volume knob, but the indicator is exposed externally, making the set maximum value visible and thus solving the above problem. [Effects of the Invention]

[0008] In short, the present invention provides a volume control controller comprising a movable stopper protruding from the back of a volume knob attached to the volume shaft of a rotary potentiometer, and a fixed stopper protruding from the front of an indicator plate rotatably mounted on the screw portion of the volume control controller. The indicator plate has an insertion hole for the screw portion and an indicator portion for any position on a scale displayed on the front panel of the volume control controller. The distance between the center of the insertion hole and the tip of the indicator portion is set to be longer than the back radius of the volume knob. The movable stopper and the fixed stopper are made to be able to contact each other when the line passing through the center of the insertion hole and the tip of the indicator portion aligns with the indicator line of the volume knob. Since the indicator plate with the indicator portion is equipped with a fixed stopper, even if the movable stopper and the fixed stopper are hidden by the volume knob, the set maximum value can be visually confirmed by the externally exposed indicator portion, and the volume knob can be reliably stopped when the indicator line points to the set maximum value. Furthermore, in the conventional technology described above, the fixed-side stopper is selectively inserted into one of several insertion holes, making it impossible to set the scale between adjacent insertion holes to the maximum value. However, in the present invention, the fixed-side stopper is provided on an indicator plate that is rotatably attached to the screw portion, so the maximum value can be set anywhere within the range of the displayed scale.

[0009] The indicator plate has a ring plate having the insertion hole and a tip plate that protrudes radially from the outer circumference of the ring plate, and the tip of the tip plate forms the indicator part, and the fixed side stopper protrudes from the side of the base end portion, so that the indicator plate can be formed in a simple shape.

[0010] The aforementioned movable stopper is separate from the volume knob and is attached to the back of the volume knob, so it can be installed even on existing volume-type controllers, and thus has great practical benefits. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[Figure 5(b)] This is a partial cross-sectional side view of a volume control with a volume knob attached, including the indicator plate, washer, spring washer, nut, and movable side stopper. [Figure 6(a)] This is an enlarged front view of the main part of a volume-type controller equipped with a rotation angle adjustment stopper for volume-type controllers according to the present invention (Output 0). [Figure 6(b)] This is an enlarged front view of the main part of a volume-type controller equipped with a rotation angle adjustment stopper for volume-type controllers according to the present invention (maximum output setting). [Modes for carrying out the invention]

[0012] As shown in Figures 5(a) and 5(b), the volume controller to which the rotation angle adjustment stopper for volume controllers according to the present invention is attached has a built-in rotary potentiometer 1 with a screw portion 2 that penetrates the front panel 3 and protrudes forward. The rotary potentiometer 1 is fixed to the front panel 3 by tightening a nut 4 fitted onto the screw portion 2, thereby sandwiching the front panel 3 between the nut 4 and the rotary potentiometer body 1a. A volume knob 6 is attached to the volume shaft 5 that protrudes from the screw portion 2, and a scale 7 is displayed on the outer circumference of the volume knob 6 on the front panel 3. A spring washer 8 is interposed between the nut 4 and the front panel 3.

[0013] Furthermore, the rotation angle adjustment stopper for a volume-type controller according to the present invention basically has a movable stopper 10 provided on the back of the volume knob 6 and a fixed stopper 11 positioned on the surface of the front panel 3. The fixed stopper 11 is provided on an indicator plate 12 that is rotatably mounted on the surface of the front panel 3. The indicator plate 12 has an insertion hole 13 for the screw portion 2 and an indicator portion 14 for an arbitrary position on the scale 7. The length from the center of the insertion hole 13 on the indicator plate 12 to the tip of the indicator portion 14 is set to be longer than the radius of the rear end of the volume knob 6. Then, the nut 4, which is screwed onto the threaded portion 2, is tightened, and the indicator plate 12 is sandwiched between the nut 4 and the front panel 3, thereby fixing the indicator plate 12 to the front of the front panel 3.

[0014] The movable stopper 10 and the fixed stopper 11 are positioned so that they can come into contact with the indicator line 6a of the volume knob 6 and the line passing through the center of the insertion hole 13 in the indicator plate 12 and the tip of the indicator part 14, respectively. [Examples]

[0015] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 6(b), in the first embodiment of the rotational angle adjustment stopper for a volume controller according to the present invention, there are a movable-side stopper 10 that is detachable from the volume knob 6 and an indicating plate 12 having a fixed-side stopper 11 rotatably attached to the screw portion 2. A washer 9 is interposed between the spring washer 8 and the indicating plate 12, and it can be fixed in a state where the indicating portion 14 indicates an arbitrary position of the scale 7.

[0016] The volume knob 6 has a hollowed-out space portion formed by core pulling. Specifically, it has a space between the outer peripheral portion 15 and the insertion portion 16 of the volume shaft 5, and ribs 17, 18 are provided in this space, forming a pair of arcuate space portions 19, 19a. The space portions 19, 19a have a taper formed.

[0017] The movable-side stopper 10 is attached to the volume knob 6 by being integrated with an insertion member 20 into the space portion formed by the core pulling of the volume knob 6. Specifically, the movable-side stopper 10 is integrated with the insertion member 20 into one of the space portions 19. A plurality of locations of a metal plate are bent with parallel valley-fold lines. At the rear end side portion of one side, a cut 21 is formed at a position corresponding to the opening of the space portion 19, and the proximal end side of the plate-like portion formed between the cut 21 and the rear end is bent to form the movable-side stopper 10, and the upper end side portion from the cut 21 forms the insertion member 20.

[0018] When the insertion member 20 is inserted into one of the space portions 19, the insertion member 20 is slightly elastically deformed, and in the completely inserted state, due to the elastic restoring force, both side portions and the valley-fold portion are pressed against the inner surface of the insertion member 20, and the movable-side stopper 10 is fixed to the volume knob 6.

[0019] The indicator plate 12 has a ring plate 25 with an insertion hole 13 in the center, and a tip plate 26 that protrudes radially from the outer circumference of the ring plate 25. The tip plate 26 is formed so that the width is constant from the middle to the base end and gradually narrows towards the tip, with the tip forming the indicator portion 14. A projection-shaped fixed-side stopper 11 protrudes from one side of the base end portion of the tip plate 26, and the fixed-side stopper 11 is parallel to a reference line L2 that passes through the center of the tip plate 26.

[0020] As shown in Figure 3, by making the distance S1 between the inner surface of the movable stopper 10 and the reference line L1 the same as the distance S2 between the outer surface of the fixed stopper 1 and the reference line L2, the movable stopper 10 can come into contact with the fixed stopper 11 when the reference line L1 of the volume knob 6 aligns with the reference line L2 of the indicator plate 12.

[0021] Furthermore, although the volume knob 6 in the above embodiment 1 has a space formed by the removal of material, it may also be solid. In addition, although the volume knob 6 and the movable side stopper 10 are separate parts, they may also be integrally formed. In this case, it is preferable to make them separate parts, as it would be necessary to replace the volume knob 6 or incorporate it during the design stage rather than using it as is in an off-the-shelf product.
