Abstract

To provide a vehicle seat which can enhance support performance of a sitting person.SOLUTION: A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion, a seat back, and a back frame supporting the seat back. The back frame has a back board, a first side frame extending in a forward direction of a seat from a first end in a seat width direction of the back board, a second side frame extending in a forward direction of the seat from a second end in the seat width direction of the back board, and a support member extending in the forward direction of the seat and downward from the lower end of the back board.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

Structure] The vehicle seat 1 shown in Figure 1 comprises a seat cushion 2, a seat back 3, a back frame 4, several functional components 5A-5D (see Figure 2), a seat belt 6, a first recliner 7, and a second recliner 8.

In the following description and in each drawing, the directions refer to the direction when the vehicle seat 1 is assembled in a vehicle (i.e., a passenger car). In this embodiment, the width direction of the seat coincides with the left-right direction of the vehicle, and the front of the seat coincides with the front of the vehicle.

[0020] The third component mounting opening 411C shown in Figure 3 is arranged at the lower left portion of the backboard 41. As shown in Figure 4, the third functional component 5C is fitted into the third component mounting opening 411C. The third functional component 5C is a lever mechanism for manually releasing the slide lock of the vehicle seat 1.

[0021] The belt pass 412 shown in Figure 2 is a portion through which the seat belt 6 is inserted inside the frame body 4A (i.e., behind the pressure receiving plate 46 in the seat). As shown in Figure 3, the belt pass 412 is arranged below the first component mounting opening 411A. The belt pass 412 has a pass opening 412A, a first arch 412B, and a second arch 412C.

[0022] The pass opening 412A is an opening provided in the backboard 41. The first arch 412B and the second arch 412C are arranged to straddle the pass opening 412A in front of the pass opening 412A in the seat.
