Abstract

To provide a vehicular seat configured so that a seat cushion frame can be reinforced and mass can be inhibited from increasing.SOLUTION: A front end part 26A of a center frame 26 is fixed to a portion closer to a front side than front end parts 22A and 24A of side frames 22 and 24 with respect to a vehicle body 31 side. In a rear seat 12, when baggage in a trunk collides with a seat back 16 and therefore the seat back 16 is bent in a nearly chevron-shape in plan view, an impact load is transmitted to a seat cushion 14 and loads that should be borne by the center frame 26 becomes larger than loads that are borne by the side frame 22 and 24. The center frame 26 is formed longer than the side frames 22 and 24, so that stress per a unit length in the center frame 26 can be smaller than stress per a unit length in the side frames 22 and 24, which can enhance bearing force. This can reinforce the center frame 26, and therefore can reinforce the frame against input into the seat cushion frame 20 and inhibit mass from increasing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle seat. [Background Art]

[0002] The following Patent Document 1 discloses a technology related to a foldable seat. In this prior art, a main body supporting bracket that supports the main body of a reclining mechanism and a driven portion supporting bracket that supports the driven portion of the reclining mechanism are provided at positions spaced a predetermined distance inward from the outer surface of a seat cushion or a seat back. It is described that an impact absorbing portion is provided on at least one of these brackets, and the impact energy input to the vehicle is absorbed by deforming the impact absorbing portion. [Prior Art Documents] [Patent Documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent No. 5338813 [Summary of the Invention] [Problem to be Solved by the Invention]

[0004] However, in the above prior art, in a luggage compartment partition wall test, when the input load (impact load) applied to the vehicle body and the seat cushion frame is large and it is intended to withstand the load, reinforcement of the vehicle body and the seat cushion frame is required, which results in a significant increase in mass.

[0005] An object of the present invention, in consideration of the above facts, is to provide a vehicle seat that can reinforce a seat cushion frame and suppress an increase in mass. [Means for Solving the Problem]

[0006] The first embodiment of a vehicle seat comprises a seat cushion frame which is positioned behind the front seats in the vehicle interior in the longitudinal direction and where the occupant sits, and which constitutes the framework of the seat cushion frame, a pair of side frames which extend along the longitudinal direction of the seat at both ends of the seat width direction of the seat cushion frame, and the first front ends in the longitudinal direction of the seat are fixed to the vehicle body side via a first fixing part, and a center frame which extends along the longitudinal direction of the seat at the center of the seat cushion frame in the seat width direction, and the second front end in the longitudinal direction of the seat is positioned further forward in the longitudinal direction of the seat than the first front end and is fixed to the vehicle body side via a second fixing part, and the center frame is configured to include a pair of extension members which are arranged adjacent to each other in the seat width direction, and a bracket which integrates the pair of extension members.

[0007] In the first embodiment of the vehicle seat, in the so-called rear seat which is positioned further rearward in the vehicle's longitudinal direction than the front seats in the vehicle interior, the seat cushion frame that constitutes the framework of the seat cushion on which the occupant sits includes a pair of side frames and a center frame.

[0008] In this embodiment, a pair of side frames extend along the front-rear direction of the seat at both ends in the seat width direction of the seat cushion frame, and the first front ends of the pair of side frames in the front-rear direction of the seat are fixed to the vehicle body side via first fixing parts.

[0009] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the center frame extends along the seat longitudinal direction from the center of the seat width direction in the seat cushion frame. The second front end of the center frame in the seat longitudinal direction is positioned further forward in the seat longitudinal direction than the first front end of the side frame, and the second front end is fixed to the vehicle body via a second fixing part.

[0010] For example, in the case of a rear seat, if luggage in the cargo area collides with the back of the seat back due to inertia during sudden deceleration of the vehicle, the seat back bends in a roughly V-shape when viewed from above, and the impact load is transmitted from the seat back to the seat cushion, stress concentrates at the center of the seat cushion in the width direction of the seat. In other words, the load that the center frame must support becomes greater than that of the pair of side frames.

[0011] Therefore, in this embodiment, by making the length of the center frame longer than that of the pair of side frames, it is possible to reduce the stress per unit length in the center frame compared to the side frames. As a result, in this embodiment, the load-bearing capacity of the center frame can be improved, and consequently, reinforcement can be applied to the center frame.

[0012] In this embodiment, the center frame is comprised of a pair of extension members and a bracket. The pair of extension members are arranged adjacent to each other (left and right) in the sheet width direction, and the bracket integrates the pair of extension members.

[0013] Thus, in this embodiment, by configuring the center frame with two extension members positioned on the left and right, when an impact load is transmitted from the seat back to the seat cushion, the load transmitted to the center frame can be distributed. As a result, in this embodiment, it is possible to reduce the load-bearing capacity required for the extension members.

[0014] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the pair of extension members are integrated by a bracket. As a comparative example, if such a bracket is not provided, the position of the front end of the pair of extension members (the second front end of the center frame) may differ on the left and right sides in the vertical direction of the sheet due to their own weight.

[0015] In contrast, in this embodiment, since the pair of extension members are integrated by a bracket, it is possible to suppress variations in the vertical direction of the sheet at the front end of the pair of extension members.

[0016] A vehicle seat according to a second embodiment is configured such that, in the vehicle seat according to a first embodiment, the bracket constitutes the second front end and includes a pair of support pieces that adjustably support the third front end of each of the pair of extension members in the seat-rear direction along the seat-rear direction.

[0017] In the vehicle seat according to the second embodiment, the bracket constitutes the second front end of the center frame. The bracket is also composed of a pair of support pieces, which support the third front end of the pair of extension members in the longitudinal direction of the seat in an adjustable manner along the longitudinal direction of the seat.

[0018] Therefore, in this embodiment, even if there is variation in the front-rear direction of the seat in the pair of extension members, the variation can be adjusted by the pair of support pieces, and the positional accuracy of the second fixing part fixed to the vehicle body can be ensured. In this way, in this embodiment, by ensuring the positional accuracy of the second fixing part, it becomes possible to fix it to the vehicle body reliably and easily.

[0019] The third embodiment of the vehicle seat is a vehicle seat according to the first or second embodiment, wherein the bracket is crank-shaped in a side view of the seat, and the second fixing portion is positioned below the third front end in the vertical direction of the seat.

[0020] In the vehicle seat according to the third embodiment, the bracket is crank-shaped when viewed from the side of the seat, and the second fixing portion to which the pair of extension members are fixed is positioned below the third front end of the pair of extension members. By using a bracket that is crank-shaped when viewed from the side of the seat in this way, it is possible to absorb the height difference that occurs between the third front end of the pair of extension members and the second fixing portion.

[0021] Therefore, in the present embodiment, there is no need to change the shape of the pair of extending members in accordance with the position of the second fixing portion, and the extending members can be fixed while being kept extended in the front-rear direction of the seat. That is, in the present embodiment, the shape of the extending members can be simplified, and the cost can be reduced accordingly.

[0022] The vehicle seat according to a fourth aspect is the vehicle seat according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the center frame is fixed via the second fixing portion to a cross member disposed along the seat width direction on the vehicle body side.

[0023] In the vehicle seat according to the fourth aspect, a cross member disposed along the seat width direction on the vehicle body side is used. Since the cross member serves as a skeleton member on the vehicle body side, it has high rigidity and strength. Therefore, by fixing the center frame to the cross member via the second fixing portion, it becomes possible to increase the load resistance against the seat cushion frame.

[0024] The vehicle seat according to a fifth aspect is the vehicle seat according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, further comprising a lower frame that forms a lower end portion in the seat vertical direction of a seatback frame which forms a skeleton of a seatback that constitutes a front end of a luggage compartment of the vehicle and is provided along the seat width direction, wherein the pair of extending members includes: a pair of first extending portions each having a rear end portion in the seat front-rear direction coupled to the lower frame; and a pair of second extending portions having a rear end portion in the seat front-rear direction coupled to the first extending portions and a front end portion in the seat front-rear direction serving as the third front end portion.

[0025] In the vehicle seat according to the fifth aspect, in a seat back frame that constitutes a skeleton of a seat back forming a front end of a luggage compartment of a vehicle, a lower frame that constitutes a lower end portion in the seat vertical direction is provided along the seat width direction. The pair of extending members each include a pair of first extending portions and a pair of second extending portions. A rear end portion of the first extending portion in the seat front-rear direction is coupled to the lower frame.

[0026] On the other hand, a rear end portion of the second extending portion in the seat front-rear direction is coupled to the first extending portion, and a front end portion of the second extending portion in the seat front-rear direction serves as a third front end portion of the pair of extending members in the seat front-rear direction, and is supported by a pair of support pieces provided on a bracket.

[0027] As described above, in this aspect, since the extending member is composed of the first extending portion and the second extending portion along the longitudinal direction, rigidity can be increased compared to a case where the extending member is formed of a single member. Note that the extending member may additionally include another extending portion serving as a third extending portion between the first extending portion and the second extending portion. In this case, the first extending portion in this context refers to the first extending portion in a state where the first extending portion and the third extending portion are coupled together. [0030] Hereinafter, a vehicle seat according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, arrow FR indicates the forward direction in the seat's longitudinal direction, arrow UP indicates the upward direction in the seat's vertical direction, and arrow RH indicates the right direction in the seat's width direction. Hereafter, when simply referring to the front-rear, left-right, and up-down directions, unless otherwise specified, they refer to the front-rear direction of the seat, the left-right direction in the seat's width direction, and the up-down direction of the seat.

[0031] (Vehicle seat configuration) First, the configuration of the vehicle seat according to this embodiment will be described.

[0032] As shown in Figure 1, the vehicle seat according to this embodiment is a rear seat 12 positioned behind the front seat (not shown) of the vehicle 10 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. This rear seat 12 is broadly divided into a seat cushion 14 that supports the buttocks and thighs of the seated occupant, a seat back 16 that can support the upper body of the seated occupant seated on the seat cushion 14, and a headrest 18 that can support the head of the seated occupant.

[0033] The seat cushion 14 is equipped with a seat cushion frame 20 that forms the skeleton of the seat cushion 14. The seat cushion frame 20 is composed of a pair of side frames 22, 24 and a center frame 26, and the pair of side frames 22, 24 extend along the front-rear direction of the seat at both ends of the seat width direction of the seat cushion frame 20.

[0034] Furthermore, the center frame 26 extends along the front-to-rear direction of the seat at the center of the seat cushion frame 20 in the width direction of the seat. A wire frame, not shown in the figures, is spanned between the pair of side frames 22, 24 and the center frame 26, enabling it to support the seat cushion pad, which constitutes part of the seat cushion 14.

[0035] As shown in Figure 2, the side frames 22 and 24 are fixed to the vehicle body 31 side via fixing parts (first fixing parts) 28 and 30, respectively, at their front ends (first front ends) 22A and 24A and rear ends 22B and 24B in the front-rear direction of the seat.

[0036] Furthermore, the center frame 26 is longer than the side frames 22 and 24 in the front-rear direction of the seat. The front end (second front end) 26A and rear end 26B of the center frame 26 are fixed to the vehicle body 31 side via fixing parts (second fixing parts) 32 and 33, respectively, and the position of fixing part 32 is positioned forward of fixing part 28.

[0037] Now, let's explain the center frame 26.

[0038] The center frame 26 is composed of a pair of extension members 34, 36 and a bracket 38. The pair of extension members 34, 36 are arranged adjacent to each other left and right along the sheet width direction, and the front end 34A of extension member 34 and the front end 36A of extension member 36 are connected by the bracket 38. Each of the extension members 34, 36 is composed of an extension portion (first extension portion) 40 and an extension portion (second extension portion) 42, respectively.

[0039] The extensions 40 and 42 each extend along the front-rear direction of the seat, with the front end 40A of extension 40 being connected to the rear end 42A of extension 42. The rear end 40B of extension 40 is connected to the lower frame 46 which constitutes the lower end 44A of the seat back frame 44 that forms the skeleton of the seat back 16.

[0040] As shown in Figure 3, the extension 40 is composed of an upper frame 48 and a lower frame 50. The upper frame 48 has a roughly inverted U-shape, with a cross-sectional shape cut along the sheet width direction, with the lower side open and the corners rounded (or chamfered). The lower frame 50 also has a roughly U-shape, with a cross-sectional shape cut along the sheet width direction, with the upper side open and the corners rounded (or chamfered).

[0041] The upper frame 48 and the lower frame 50 are joined vertically to form a closed section. As a result, although not shown in the figures, compared to the case where the extension is an open section, the rigidity of the extension 40 is improved in this embodiment, and the impact load input from the rear side of the extension 40 can be transmitted along the front-rear direction of the sheet.

[0042] On the rear sides of the side walls 48A and 48B of the upper frame 48, there are notches 48A1 and 48B1, respectively, which are cut out in a roughly rectangular shape upwards to match the shape of the lower frame 46, and the upper frame 48 and the lower frame 50 are joined so as to sandwich the lower frame 46 from above and below.

[0043] Therefore, impact loads input from the rear side of the extension portion 40 can be transmitted and distributed along the sheet width direction via the lower frame 46. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the shapes of the notches 48A1 and 48B1 may differ to avoid interference with surrounding parts.

[0044] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 2, the upper frame 48 and the lower frame 50 are formed such that the width dimension along the sheet width direction is larger on the front side than the lower frame 46 than on the rear side. This makes it possible to better suppress deformation along the sheet width direction in the extension portion 40 on the front side than the lower frame 46.

[0045] Furthermore, the pair of extensions 40 are formed such that their width increases in the direction toward the sheet width direction toward the direction toward the opposing surfaces 41. This makes it possible to avoid interference with surrounding parts on the outer side of the extension members 34 and 36 in the sheet width direction.

[0046] Furthermore, a trapezoidal metal plate 52 is placed across the front side of the lower frame 50 on the extension member 34 side and the front side of the lower frame 50 on the extension member 36 side.

[0047] On the other hand, the extension portion 42 is formed in the shape of a rectangular tube with rounded (or chamfered) corners, and the rear end portion 42A of the extension portion 42 is connected by being sandwiched between the upper frame 48 and the lower frame 50 of the extension portion 40. In addition, a trapezoidal metal plate 54 is placed between the front end portion 42B of the extension portion 42 on the extension member 34 side and the front end portion 42B of the extension portion 42 on the extension member 36 side.

[0048] As shown in Figure 6, the bracket 38 has a crank shape when viewed from the side of the sheet and is composed of support pieces 56 and 58 extending along the front-rear direction of the sheet and a fixing piece 60 extending along the width direction of the sheet. Since the support pieces 56 and 58 and the fixing piece 60 are in different positions in the vertical direction of the sheet, connecting pieces 62 and 64 are provided between the support pieces 56 and 58 and the fixing piece 60 to connect them.

[0049] As shown in Figure 3, the support pieces 56, 58 and connecting pieces 62, 64 each have a roughly U-shaped cross-section, which is cut along the sheet width direction and has an opening at the top. The front end 42B of the extension portion 42 on the extension member 34 side is supported by the support piece 56 while resting on the support piece 56, and the front end 42B of the extension portion 42 on the extension member 36 side is supported by the support piece 58 while resting on the support piece 58.

[0050] Furthermore, in the central part of the connecting pieces 62 and 64 in the sheet width direction, bead portions 62A and 64A are formed along the extending direction of the connecting pieces 62 and 64, respectively, which improve the rigidity of the connecting pieces 62 and 64. In addition, the fixing piece 60 is provided with fixing holes 60A on the front side of the connecting pieces 62 and 64, which are fastened to the vehicle body 31.

[0051] Here, as shown in Figure 2, a cross member 66 is arranged on the vehicle body side along the seat width direction, and the bracket 38 is fixed to the cross member 66 via a fixing piece 60. Although not shown, the cross member 66 is designed to accommodate, for example, a fixing member, and a bolt welded to the fixing member is inserted through the fixing hole 60A, fastening (fixing) the bracket 38 and the cross member 66 via a nut.

[0052] (Function and effect of vehicle seats) Next, the operation and effects of the vehicle seat according to this embodiment will be described.

[0053] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, in this embodiment, the seat cushion frame 20 that constitutes the skeleton of the seat cushion 14 of the rear seat 12 is composed of a pair of side frames 22 and 24 and a center frame 26. The side frames 22 and 24 extend along the front-rear direction of the seat at both ends in the seat width direction of the seat cushion frame 20, and the center frame 26 extends along the front-rear direction of the seat at the center of the seat cushion frame 20 in the seat width direction.

[0054] The front ends 22A and 24A of the side frames 22 and 24 are fixed to the vehicle body 31 via fixing parts 28, respectively, and the front end 26A of the center frame 26 is positioned further forward than the front ends 22A and 24A of the side frames 22 and 24 and is fixed to the vehicle body 31 via fixing part 32.

[0055] For example, if the seatback 16 of the rear seat 12 is divided in a 6:4 ratio in the seat width direction, and luggage is placed in the cargo compartment 11 of the vehicle 10, then, although not shown in the diagram, when the vehicle 10 decelerates rapidly, if the luggage in the cargo compartment 11 collides with the back of the seatback 16 due to inertial force, the seatback 16 will bend in a roughly V-shape in plan view with the divided portion as the apex, and the impact load will be transmitted from the seatback 16 to the seat cushion 14.

[0056] Therefore, stress concentrates in the center of the seat cushion 14 in the width direction of the seat. Consequently, the load that the center frame 26 must support is greater than that of the side frames 22 and 24. For this reason, by making the length of the center frame 26 longer than that of the side frames 22 and 24, it becomes possible to reduce the stress per unit length of the center frame 26 compared to the side frames 22 and 24.

[0057] As a result, in this embodiment, the load-bearing capacity of the center frame 26 can be improved, and consequently, reinforcement can be applied to the center frame 26. In other words, in this embodiment, it is possible to reinforce the seat cushion frame 20 against input while suppressing an increase in mass.

[0058] In this embodiment, the center frame 26 is composed of a pair of extension members 34 and 36 and a bracket 38. The extension members 34 and 36 are arranged adjacent to each other (left and right) in the sheet width direction, and the bracket 38 integrates the extension members 34 and 36.

[0059] In this way, by constructing the center frame 26 with two extension members 34 and 36 positioned on the left and right sides, when an impact load is transmitted from the seat back 16 to the seat cushion 14, the load transmitted to the center frame 26 can be distributed. As a result, it becomes possible to reduce the load-bearing capacity required for the extension members 34 and 36.

[0060] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the extension members 34 and 36 are integrated by a bracket 38. For example, in a comparative example, if the bracket 38 is not provided, the position of the front end portion 26A of the extension members 34 and 36 may differ on the left and right sides in the vertical direction of the sheet due to the weight of the extension members 34 and 36.

[0061] In contrast, in this embodiment, since the extension members 34 and 36 are integrated by the bracket 38, it is possible to suppress variations in the vertical position of the front end portion 26A of the extension members 34 and 36.

[0062] As shown in Figures 3 and 6, the bracket 38 has a crank shape when viewed from the side of the seat, and is provided with support pieces 56 and 58 extending along the front-rear direction of the seat, a fixing piece 60 extending along the width direction of the seat, and connecting pieces 62 and 64 connecting the support pieces 56 and 58 and the fixing piece 60.

[0063] The front end portion 42B of the extension portion 42 on the extension member 34 side is placed on the support piece 56, and the front end portion 42B of the extension portion 42 on the extension member 36 side is placed on the support piece 58. Therefore, in this embodiment, even if there is variation in the dimensions of the extension members 34 and 36 in the front-rear direction of the seat, adjustment can be made by the support pieces 56 and 58, and accuracy can be ensured at the position of the fixing portion 32. By ensuring the positional accuracy of the fixing portion 32 in this way, it becomes possible to fix it to the vehicle body 31 reliably and easily.

[0064] In this embodiment, the bracket 38 is crank-shaped when viewed from the side of the seat, and a fixing piece 60 is formed below the support pieces 56 and 58 that support the front end portion 42B of the extension portion 42 of the extension members 34 and 36 respectively, in the vertical direction of the seat, and a fixing portion 32 is provided to fix the extension members 34 and 36 to the vehicle body 31.

[0065] In this way, by using a bracket 38 that is crank-shaped when viewed from the side of the seat, it becomes possible to absorb the height difference that occurs between the front end 42B of the extension portion 42 of the extension members 34 and 36 and the fixing portion 32. Therefore, there is no need to change the shape of the extension members 34 and 36 to match the position of the fixing portion 32, and the extension members 34 and 36 can be fixed while they are extended in the front-rear direction of the seat. In other words, in this embodiment, the shape of the extension members 34 and 36 can be simplified, and costs can be reduced accordingly.

[0066] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the fixing portion 32 of the center frame 26 is fixed to a cross member 66 arranged along the seat width direction on the vehicle body 31 side. Since the cross member 66 is a skeletal member on the vehicle body 31 side, it has high rigidity and strength. Therefore, by fixing the center frame 26 to the cross member 66, it is possible to increase the load-bearing capacity of the seat cushion frame 20.

[0067] In this embodiment, the center frame 26 is composed of extension members 34 and 36, and the extension members 34 and 36 are each composed of a first extension portion 40 and a second extension portion 42. The first extension portion 40 constitutes a part of the extension members 34 and 36, and the rear end portion 40B of the first extension portion 40 is connected to the lower frame 46. On the other hand, the second extension portion 42 constitutes at least another part of the extension members 34 and 36, and the front end portion 42B of the second extension portion 42 is supported by support pieces 56 and 58 provided on the bracket 38.

[0068] Thus, in this embodiment, since the extension members 34 and 36 are each composed of a first extension portion 40 and a second extension portion 42 along the longitudinal direction, the rigidity can be increased compared to the case where the extension members 34 and 36 are formed from a single member, although this is not shown in the figures.

[0069] As described above, in this embodiment, the extension members 34 and 36 are configured to include the first extension portion 40 and the second extension portion 42, but are not limited to this. For example, although not shown in the figures, members other than the first extension portion 40 and the second extension portion 42 may be included.

[0070] Furthermore, the present invention can be implemented with various modifications without departing from its spirit. Of course, the scope of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. [Explanation of Symbols]
