Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a laminate sheet and a method for producing a skin design sheet.
Background Art
[0002] Skin design sheets such as tattoo stickers and skin concealing sheets that are used by being affixed to the skin are known. A tattoo sticker is a sheet with various patterns printed on a base material. Tattoo stickers are sold, for example, at variety stores, sports or music event venues, amusement parks, and the like, and are used to liven up the atmosphere. A skin concealing sheet is a sheet in which a base material is pre-colored with a predetermined color by screen printing or the like. The skin concealing sheet is used, for example, to conceal discolored parts such as scars or spots on the skin. A user selects and uses a skin design sheet that matches the color of their own skin.
[0003] The skin design sheet includes, for example, a release sheet, an adhesive layer, a stretchable base material, and a cover sheet in this order. The skin design sheet is affixed to the user's skin by a procedure of peeling off the release sheet to attach the adhesive layer to the skin, and then peeling off the cover sheet.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0005] Conventionally, a plurality of skin design sheets are produced from a laminate sheet including a release sheet, an adhesive layer, and a stretchable base material in this order. For example, a roll-shaped laminate sheet is cut to produce a sheet-fed laminate sheet in a product form. In conventional laminate sheets, the adhesive layer is provided over the entire surface of the release sheet.
[0006] The Disclosers have found that when cutting laminated sheets, the adhesive layer may protrude at the cut surface, or the release liner or stretchable substrate may peel off. For example, the protrusion of the adhesive layer may cause it to adhere to the blade of the cutting machine used to cut the laminated sheet. In this case, it becomes necessary to clean the cutting machine. Depending on the type of cutting machine, it may be difficult to clean the blade frequently.
[0007] The object of this disclosure is to provide a laminated sheet that is suitably used in the production of a textured sheet and that can suppress the overflow of the adhesive layer at the cut surface of the laminated sheet, or the peeling of the release sheet or stretchable substrate. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] The Disclosers have found that the softness and low adhesive strength of adhesives used for application to human skin can lead to the adhesive layer overflowing or the release liner or stretchable substrate peeling off. Based on these findings, the Disclosers have discovered that the above problem can be solved by the following laminated sheet.
[0009] The first laminated sheet of this disclosure comprises, in this order, a release sheet, an adhesive layer, and a stretchable substrate, wherein the adhesive layer is located between the release sheet and the stretchable substrate, and the adhesive layer has a first adhesive portion and a second adhesive portion, the first adhesive portion is formed of a first adhesive, and the second adhesive portion is formed of a second adhesive having greater adhesive strength than the first adhesive, the second adhesive portion has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet, the plurality of first linear portions are provided at predetermined intervals in a second direction intersecting the first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet, and the first adhesive portion is provided between the second adhesive portions.
[0010] The second laminated sheet of this disclosure comprises, in this order, a release sheet, an adhesive layer, and a stretchable substrate, wherein the adhesive layer is located between the release sheet and the stretchable substrate, and the adhesive layer has an adhesive portion and an adhesive portion, the adhesive portion has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet, the plurality of first linear portions are provided at predetermined intervals in a second direction intersecting the first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet, and the adhesive portion is provided between the adhesive portions.
[0011] The third laminated sheet of this disclosure comprises, in this order, a release sheet, an adhesive layer, and a stretchable substrate, wherein the adhesive layer is located between the release sheet and the stretchable substrate, and the adhesive layer side surface of the release sheet has a first region and a second region, the adhesive force between the second region and the adhesive layer is greater than the adhesive force between the first region and the adhesive layer, the second region has a plurality of first linear regions extending in a first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet, the plurality of first linear regions are provided at predetermined intervals in a second direction intersecting the first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet, and the first region is located between the second region. [Effects of the Invention]
[0012] According to this disclosure, it is possible to provide a laminated sheet that is suitably used in the production of a textured sheet and that can suppress the overflow of the adhesive layer at the cut surface of the laminated sheet, or the peeling of the release sheet or stretchable substrate. [Figure 7] Figure 7 is a cross-sectional view or plan view of a laminated sheet or a skin design sheet, for explaining a process of producing a skin design sheet from a long laminated sheet. [Modes for Carrying Out the Invention]
[0014] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail. The present disclosure can be implemented in many different forms, and should not be construed as being limited to the description of the embodiments exemplified below. For clearer explanation, the drawings may schematically illustrate the width, thickness, shape, and the like of each layer compared to the actual embodiments, but these are merely examples and do not limit the interpretation of the present disclosure. In the present specification and each drawing, elements identical to those already described with reference to the previously mentioned drawings are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed descriptions thereof may be omitted as appropriate.
[0015] [First Laminated Sheet] The first laminated sheet of the present disclosure comprises a release sheet, an adhesive layer, and a stretchable base material in this order.
[0016] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of a laminated sheet 1 of the present disclosure according to an embodiment, which is suitably used for producing a skin design sheet. The laminated sheet 1 is in the form of a long strip, and Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the laminated sheet 1. The laminated sheet 1 includes a release sheet 10, an adhesive layer 20, and a stretchable base material 30 arranged in this order in the thickness direction. The adhesive layer 20 has a first adhesive portion 21 and a second adhesive portion 22.
[0017] <Release Sheet> Examples of the release sheet include release paper having at least one side of a paper base material subjected to a release treatment, and release resin sheets having at least one side of a resin sheet subjected to a release treatment. Examples of the release treatment include a release treatment using a release agent such as a silicone resin-based release agent, an alkyd resin-based release agent, a long-chain alkyl compound-based release agent, and a fluororesin-based release agent. Examples of the resin sheet include polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polynorbornene; polystyrene; polyvinyl chloride; acrylic resins; fluororesins such as polytetrafluoroethylene, perfluoroalkoxyalkanes, ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymers and perfluoroethylene-propene copolymers; polyesters such as polyethylene terephthalate; and resin sheets formed from polyamides such as aliphatic polyamides and aromatic polyamides.
[0018] The thickness of the release sheet may be, for example, 50 μm or more, 100 μm or more, 300 μm or less, or 200 μm or less.
[0019] <Adhesive Layer> The adhesive layer is located between the release sheet and the stretchable base material. The adhesive layer is provided on one surface of the release sheet. The adhesive layer has a first adhesive portion and a second adhesive portion. The first adhesive portion is formed of a first adhesive. The second adhesive portion is formed of a second adhesive having a higher adhesive strength than the first adhesive.
[0020] The adhesive strength of the first adhesive is preferably 5000 gf / 50 mm or less, more preferably 100 gf / 50 mm or more and 5000 gf / 50 mm or less. When the adhesive strength is 5000 gf / 50 mm or less, the risk of damaging the adherend (particularly human or animal skin) is low, for example, during accidental attachment of the sheet or peeling during replacement. When the adhesive strength is 100 gf / 50 mm or more, the adhesive strength to the adherend (particularly human or animal skin) can be secured, and peeling of the sheet due to factors such as skin sweating or movement can be suppressed.
[0021] The adhesive strength of the second adhesive is preferably greater than 5000 gf / 50 mm. The adhesive strength of the second adhesive may be, for example, 9000 gf / 50 mm or less.
[0022] The adhesive strength between the release sheet and the first adhesive portion may be 2 gf / 50 mm or more and 50 gf / 50 mm or less, or 4 gf / 50 mm or more and 30 gf / 50 mm or less. If the adhesive strength is 2 gf / 50 mm or more, peeling of the release sheet during storage or transportation of the laminated sheet can be suppressed. If the adhesive strength is 50 gf / 50 mm or less, the release sheet can be easily peeled off, for example, when using a textured sheet. The above adhesive strength is measured in accordance with the method (180° peel) described in JIS Z 0237:2009.
[0023] In one embodiment, a skin-patterned sheet can be produced from the portion of the laminated sheet on which the first adhesive portion is formed. The adhesive strength of the first adhesive portion is such that there is little risk of damaging the adherend (especially human or animal skin) when the skin-patterned sheet is misapplied or when it is peeled off for replacement.
[0024] The second adhesive portion can serve as the cutting point when cutting the laminated sheet. For example, the laminated sheet can be cut at the location where the second adhesive portion is formed. Because the second adhesive portion is rigid, it can suppress the overflow of the adhesive layer at the cut surface and adhesion to the blade. Furthermore, because the second adhesive portion has high adhesive strength, it can suppress the peeling of the release sheet or stretchable substrate near the cut surface.
[0025] Examples of the first and second adhesives include acrylic adhesives, urethane adhesives, silicone adhesives, rubber adhesives, vinyl alkyl ether adhesives, polyester adhesives, polyamide adhesives, and fluorine-based adhesives. The adhesives may contain a solvent. As for the solvent, for example, both water-based and solvent-based solvents can be used. For the first adhesive, it is preferable to select an adhesive that causes less skin irritation and skin rash for medical use, and for example, acrylic adhesives and urethane adhesives are preferred.
[0026] The thickness of the adhesive layer may be, for example, 10 μm or more, 15 μm or more, 40 μm or less, or 30 μm or less.
[0027] The second adhesive portion has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet. The plurality of first linear portions are provided at predetermined intervals in a second direction intersecting the first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet. The second direction is, for example, a direction perpendicular to the first direction. For example, the first direction is the longitudinal direction of the laminated sheet or release sheet, and the second direction is the short direction of the laminated sheet or release sheet.
[0028] The first adhesive portion is located between the second adhesive portions.
[0029] The second adhesive portion is, for example, a linear pattern having a plurality of first linear portions parallel to the first direction. If the second adhesive portion is the linear pattern, then the first adhesive portion is also a linear pattern having one or more linear portions parallel to the first direction.
[0030] Figure 2a is a top view of one embodiment of the adhesive layer 20 provided on the release sheet 10, that is, a view taken from the direction normal to the main surface of the release sheet 10. In this figure, the description of the stretchable substrate is omitted. Figure 2b is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in Figure 2a. The second adhesive portion 22 has a plurality of first linear portions 22a extending in the first direction and is provided on the release sheet 10. The first adhesive portion 21 has a plurality of linear portions 21a extending in the first direction and is provided on the release sheet 10. The linear portions 21a are provided between the first linear portions 22a, 22a. The linear portions 21a and the first linear portions 22a are provided alternately in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
[0031] The second adhesive portion is, for example, a grid-like adhesive portion. The grid-like adhesive portion has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction and a plurality of second linear portions extending in a second direction. The first linear portions and the second linear portions intersect. The first adhesive portion is provided, for example, in a region surrounded by a grid-like adhesive portion.
[0032] Figure 3 is a top view of one embodiment of the adhesive layer 20 provided on the release sheet 10. The second adhesive portion 22 has a plurality of first linear portions 22a parallel to the first direction and a plurality of second linear portions 22b parallel to the second direction perpendicular to the first direction and provided on the release sheet 10. The first linear portions 22a and the second linear portions 22b intersect at multiple locations, but are usually integrated at the intersections. A plurality of first adhesive portions 21 are provided on the release sheet 10 in a rectangular shape in a region surrounded by a grid-like adhesive portion. The plurality of first adhesive portions 21 are arranged in a two-dimensional manner along the first direction and the second direction.
[0033] When the laminated sheet of this disclosure is viewed from above, the ratio of the area of the first adhesive portion to the total area of the adhesive layer is preferably 70% or more, more preferably 75% or more, and even more preferably 80% or more. Viewing from above means viewing the laminated sheet from the direction normal to the main surface of the laminated sheet. If the ratio is above the lower limit, for example, the effective area from which a textured sheet can be produced from the laminated sheet can be increased. If the ratio is below the upper limit, for example, a sufficient area for cutting the laminated sheet can be secured.
[0034] In one embodiment, the first laminated sheet of the present disclosure is a wide laminated sheet (see Figure 4a) that is wider than the sheet width of the final product form, and is stored as a roll, for example, a jumbo roll. For example, by cutting the wide laminated sheet parallel to the longitudinal direction, a laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form (see Figures 4b and 5) is obtained and stored as a roll, for example, a pancake. The first laminated sheet of the present disclosure may be a wide laminated sheet that is wider than the sheet width of the final product form, or it may be a laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form. A laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form can be cut, for example, in a thermal transfer printer, at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the sheet and parallel to the short direction of the sheet to obtain a single-sheet laminated sheet (see Figure 4c).
[0035] The adhesive layer in the first laminated sheet of this disclosure has a second adhesive portion with high adhesive strength. By cutting the laminated sheet at the second adhesive portion, it is possible to suppress the adhesion of the adhesive layer to the blade of the cutting machine, for example, when cutting jumbo rolls. Since it can be difficult to frequently clean the blade of the cutting machine, suppressing the adhesion of the adhesive layer reduces the number of cleanings required. Furthermore, if the second adhesive portion is a grid-like adhesive portion, it is possible to suppress the adhesion of the adhesive layer to the cutter not only when cutting jumbo rolls but also when cutting pancakes, for example.
[0036] <Stretchable base material> The stretchable base material is provided on the adhesive layer. Examples of stretchable substrates include urethane film.
[0037] The stretchable substrate preferably has an elongation rate of 30% to 100% in order to follow the expansion and contraction of the substrate when the laminated sheet is attached to the substrate. The elongation rate of the stretchable substrate is the elongation rate obtained by the test method in accordance with JIS K7127 (1999). The elongation rate is expressed by the following formula (1). Growth rate (%) = 100 × (L - L0) / L0 ... (1)
[0038] In equation (1), L is the length at which the stretchable material breaks when pulled at a speed of 200 mm / min using a tensile testing machine. In equation (1), L0 is the length of the stretchable material before being pulled by the tensile testing machine. A Tensilon universal material tester can be used as the tensile testing machine.
[0039] The thickness of the stretchable base material is preferably 5 μm or more, more preferably 7 μm or more. This can suppress the occurrence of wrinkles when the sheet is applied, for example, and improve workability. The thickness of the stretchable base material may be, for example, 80 μm or less, or 60 μm or less, preferably 35 μm or less, more preferably 30 μm or less. This can suppress discomfort for the user after the sheet has been applied, for example.
[0040] <receptor layer> The laminated sheet of this disclosure may include a receiving layer on a stretchable substrate for receiving dyes or the like that migrate from the thermal transfer sheet. For example, when forming an image using a thermal transfer printer, it is desirable to provide a receiving layer on the stretchable substrate.
[0041] When a receiving layer is provided on a stretchable substrate, the stretchable substrate may melt, be damaged, altered, or deformed due to the solvent contained in the coating liquid during the process of applying and drying the coating liquid for the receiving layer on the stretchable substrate. In this case, it is preferable to transfer the receiving layer onto the stretchable substrate by thermal transfer. The receiving layer may be provided on the stretchable substrate in advance, or it may be provided on the stretchable substrate by thermal transfer during image formation.
[0042] Examples of resin materials for forming the receiving layer include polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene; vinyl resins such as polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, and vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymers; polyesters such as polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate; polystyrene, acrylic resin, polyamide, polyimide, polycarbonate, urethane resin, cellulose resin, and ionomer resin.
[0043] The receiving layer may be a white receiving layer. The white receiving layer may, for example, comprise a primer layer containing a white pigment and a transparent receiving layer in that order. Examples of white pigments include silica, titanium dioxide, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, cerium oxide, titanium mica, muscovite, white carbon, calcium carbonate, barium sulfate, alumina white, and talc. By using a white receiving layer, reflected light from the discolored area of the adherend can be suppressed, the concealment of the discolored area can be improved, and the reproduction of the desired skin color can be enhanced. The transparent receiving layer may contain particles that scatter light.
[0044] A concealing layer may be further provided on the primer layer containing a white pigment. The concealing layer may contain a metallic pigment. Examples of metallic pigments include particles of aluminum, nickel, chromium, brass, tin, brass, bronze, zinc, silver, platinum, gold and their oxides, as well as glass coated with metal vapor deposition. Among these, aluminum pigment is preferred from the viewpoint of transferability and glossiness of the concealing layer. The aluminum pigment may be of the leafing type or the non-leafing type, but the non-leafing type is preferred from the viewpoint of transferability and glossiness of the concealing layer.
[0045] The thickness of the receptor layer may be, for example, 0.5 μm or more, 1 μm or more, 20 μm or less, or 10 μm or less. This allows, for example, to improve the density of the thermal transfer image formed on the receptor layer.
[0046] <Protective film> The laminated sheet may further include a protective film on the surface of the stretchable substrate opposite to the adhesive layer side. Examples of protective films include low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film and polypropylene (PP) film. The protective film may have, for example, a weak adhesive layer. Acrylic-based weak adhesives and urethane-based weak adhesives can be used to form the weak adhesive layer. The thickness of the protective film is, for example, between 30 μm and 60 μm.
[0047] [Second laminated sheet] The second laminated sheet of this disclosure is Release sheet and Adhesive layer and stretchable base material and It is equipped with these in this order.
[0048] In the diagram illustrating the second laminated sheet, the adhesive layer 20 is changed to a bonding layer 20 in the diagram illustrating the first laminated sheet, the first adhesive portion 21 is changed to an adhesive portion 21, and the second adhesive portion 22 is changed to a bonding portion 22.
[0049] The release sheet, stretchable substrate, receiving layer, and protective film are the same as those described in the first laminated sheet, so their explanation is omitted in this section.
[0050] The adhesive layer is located between the release sheet and the stretchable substrate. The adhesive layer is provided on one side of the release sheet. The adhesive layer has a tack portion and an adhesive portion.
[0051] The adhesive portion is formed from an adhesive. The bonding portion is formed from an adhesive. Adhesives generally have greater adhesive strength than adhesives. An adhesive, also called a pressure-sensitive adhesive, is a material that is adhesive at room temperature and can adhere to a substrate when pressure is applied. For example, even if a substrate attached to the adhesive portion is peeled off, the adhesive portion retains practical adhesive strength. An adhesive refers to any adhesive other than an adhesive (pressure-sensitive adhesive) and is clearly distinguished from an adhesive. An adhesive is a material that can bond substances together by being interposed between them. For example, if a substrate attached to the adhesive portion is peeled off, the adhesive portion will no longer have practical adhesive strength.
[0052] In one embodiment, a skin-patterned sheet can be produced from a portion of a laminated sheet on which an adhesive portion is formed. The adhesive strength of the adhesive portion is such that there is little risk of damaging the adherend (especially human or animal skin) when the skin-patterned sheet is misapplied or when it is peeled off for replacement.
[0053] The adhesive strength of the adhesive is preferably 5000 gf / 50 mm or less, and more preferably 100 gf / 50 mm or more and 5000 gf / 50 mm or less. The adhesive strength between the release sheet and the adhesive portion may be 2 gf / 50 mm or more and 50 gf / 50 mm or less, or 4 gf / 50 mm or more and 30 gf / 50 mm or less.
[0054] The adhesive portion can serve as the cutting point when cutting a laminated sheet. For example, the laminated sheet can be cut at the location where the adhesive portion is formed. Because the adhesive portion is rigid, it can suppress to a very high degree the overflow of the adhesive layer at the cut surface and adhesion to the blade. Furthermore, because the adhesive portion has high adhesive strength, it can suppress to a very high degree the peeling of the release sheet or stretchable substrate near the cut surface.
[0055] Examples of adhesives include acrylic adhesives, urethane adhesives, silicone adhesives, rubber adhesives, vinyl alkyl ether adhesives, polyester adhesives, polyamide adhesives, and fluorine-based adhesives. The adhesive may contain a solvent. For example, both water-based and solvent-based solvents can be used. For medical use, it is preferable to select an adhesive that causes less skin irritation and skin rash, for example, acrylic adhesives and urethane adhesives are preferred.
[0056] Examples of adhesives include polyether-based adhesives, polyester-based adhesives, silicone-based adhesives, epoxy-based adhesives, urethane-based adhesives, rubber-based adhesives, vinyl-based adhesives, olefin-based adhesives, silicone-based adhesives, epoxy-based adhesives, and phenol-based adhesives. The adhesive may be a one-component curing type, a two-component curing type, or a non-curing type.
[0057] The thickness of the adhesive layer may be, for example, 10 μm or more, 15 μm or more, 40 μm or less, or 30 μm or less.
[0058] The adhesive portion has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet.
[0059] The adhesive portion is located between the adhesive portions.
[0060] The adhesive portion is, for example, a linear pattern having a plurality of first linear portions parallel to the first direction. If the adhesive portion is the linear pattern described above, the adhesive portion is also a linear pattern having one or more linear portions parallel to the first direction. The linear portions are, for example, provided between the first linear portions. The linear portions and the first linear portions are, for example, provided alternately in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
[0061] The adhesive portion is, for example, a grid-like adhesive portion. The grid-like adhesive portion has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction and a plurality of second linear portions extending in a second direction. The first linear portions and the second linear portions intersect. The adhesive portion is provided, for example, in a region surrounded by the grid-like adhesive portion. The adhesive portion is, for example, rectangular in shape and surrounded by the grid-like adhesive portion. Multiple adhesive portions are arranged in a two-dimensional manner, for example, along a first direction and a second direction.
[0062] When the laminated sheet of this disclosure is viewed in plan, the ratio of the area of the adhesive portion to the total area of the adhesive layer is preferably 70% or more, more preferably 75% or more, and even more preferably 80% or more. If the ratio is above the lower limit, for example, the effective area from which a textured sheet can be produced from the laminated sheet can be increased. If the ratio is below the upper limit, for example, a sufficient area for cutting the laminated sheet can be secured.
[0063] In one embodiment, the second laminated sheet of the present disclosure is a wide laminated sheet that is wider than the sheet width of the final product form, and is stored as a roll, for example, a jumbo roll. For example, by cutting the wide laminated sheet parallel to the longitudinal direction, a laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form is obtained and is stored as a roll, for example, a pancake. The second laminated sheet of the present disclosure may be a wide laminated sheet that is wider than the sheet width of the final product form, or it may be a laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form. A laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form can be cut parallel to the short direction of the sheet at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the sheet, for example, in a thermal transfer printer, to obtain a single-sheet laminated sheet.
[0064] The adhesive layer in the second laminated sheet of this disclosure has an adhesive portion with high adhesive strength, so by cutting the laminated sheet at the adhesive portion, it is possible to suppress the adhesion of the adhesive layer to the blade of the cutting machine, for example, when cutting jumbo rolls. Since it can be difficult to frequently clean the blade of the cutting machine, suppressing the adhesion of the adhesive layer reduces the number of cleanings. Furthermore, if the adhesive portion is a grid-like adhesive portion, it is possible to suppress the adhesion of the adhesive layer to the cutter not only when cutting jumbo rolls, but also when cutting pancakes, for example.
[0065] [Third Laminate Sheet] The third laminated sheet of this disclosure is Release sheet and Adhesive layer, stretchable base material and It is equipped with these in this order.
[0066] Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view of a laminated sheet 1 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, which is suitably used in the manufacture of a textured sheet. The laminated sheet 1 is in the shape of a long strip, and Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the laminated sheet 1. The laminated sheet 1 comprises a release sheet 10, an adhesive layer 20, and an elastic base material 30 in this order in the thickness direction. The surface of the release sheet 10 on the side facing the adhesive layer 20 has a first region 11 and a second region 12, and the adhesive force between the second region 12 and the adhesive layer 20 is greater than the adhesive force between the first region 11 and the adhesive layer 20.
[0067] In one embodiment, a textured sheet can be produced from the portion of the laminated sheet in the first region. The second region can be the cutting point when cutting the laminated sheet. For example, the laminated sheet is cut in the second region. Because the adhesive strength between the second region and the adhesive layer is high, it is possible to suppress the overflow of the adhesive layer at the cut surface and its adhesion to the blade, and also to suppress the peeling of the release sheet near the cut surface.
[0068] Examples of release sheets include release paper with at least one side of a paper substrate treated for release, and release resin sheets with at least one side of a resin sheet treated for release. Examples of release treatments include release treatments using release agents such as silicone resin-based release agents, alkyd resin-based release agents, long-chain alkyl compound-based release agents, and fluororesin-based release agents. Silicone resin-based release agents are preferred as the release agent. Examples of resin sheets include polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and polynorbornene; polystyrene; polyvinyl chloride; acrylic resins; fluororesins such as polytetrafluoroethylene, perfluoroalkoxyalkanes, ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, and perfluoroethylene-propene copolymer; polyesters such as polyethylene terephthalate; and polyamides such as aliphatic polyamides and aromatic polyamides.
[0069] For example, by applying a release agent only to a first region of the release sheet, the adhesive strength between the second region and the adhesive layer may be made higher than the adhesive strength between the first region and the adhesive layer. Alternatively, by applying a release agent to a first region of the release sheet and applying a release agent with lower release properties to a second region of the release sheet, the adhesive strength between the second region and the adhesive layer may be made higher than the adhesive strength between the first region and the adhesive layer.
[0070] The second region has a plurality of first linear portions extending in a first direction within the main surface of the laminated sheet.
[0071] The first region is located between the second region.
[0072] The second region is, for example, a linear pattern having a plurality of first linear portions parallel to the first direction. If the second region is the linear pattern, then the first region is also a linear pattern having one or more linear portions parallel to the first direction. The linear portions are provided, for example, between the first linear portions. The linear portions and the first linear portions are provided alternately, for example, in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
[0073] The second region is, for example, a grid-like region. The grid-like region has a plurality of first linear parts extending in a first direction and a plurality of second linear parts extending in a second direction. The first linear parts and the second linear parts intersect.
[0074] The first region is, for example, a region surrounded by a grid-like region. The first region is, for example, a rectangle surrounded by a grid-like region. Multiple first regions are arranged in two dimensions, for example, along a first direction and a second direction.
[0075] When the laminated sheet of this disclosure is viewed in plan, the ratio of the area of the first region to the total area of the release sheet is preferably 70% or more, more preferably 75% or more, and even more preferably 80% or more. If the ratio is above the lower limit, for example, the effective area from which a textured sheet can be produced from the laminated sheet can be increased. If the ratio is below the upper limit, for example, a sufficient area for cutting the laminated sheet can be secured.
[0076] The thickness of the release sheet may be, for example, 50 μm or more, 100 μm or more, 300 μm or less, or 200 μm or less.
[0077] In one embodiment, the third laminated sheet of the present disclosure is a wide laminated sheet that is wider than the sheet width of the final product form, and is stored as a roll, for example, a jumbo roll. For example, by cutting the wide laminated sheet parallel to the longitudinal direction, a laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form is obtained and is stored as a roll, for example, a pancake. The third laminated sheet of the present disclosure may be a wide laminated sheet that is wider than the sheet width of the final product form, or it may be a laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form. A laminated sheet with the same width as the sheet of the final product form can be cut parallel to the short direction of the sheet at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the sheet, for example, in a thermal transfer printer, to obtain a single-sheet laminated sheet.
[0078] The adhesive layer is located between the release sheet and the stretchable substrate. The adhesive layer is provided on one side of the release sheet.
[0079] The adhesive strength of the adhesive forming the adhesive layer is preferably 5000 gf / 50 mm or less, more preferably 100 gf / 50 mm or more and 5000 gf / 50 mm or less. If the adhesive strength is 5000 gf / 50 mm or less, for example, there is little risk of damaging the adherend (especially the skin of humans or animals) when the sheet is misapplied or when it is peeled off during replacement. If the adhesive strength is 100 gf / 50 mm or more, for example, adhesive strength to the adherend (especially the skin of humans or animals) can be ensured, and peeling of the sheet due to skin perspiration or movement can be suppressed.
[0080] Examples of adhesives include acrylic adhesives, urethane adhesives, silicone adhesives, rubber adhesives, vinyl alkyl ether adhesives, polyester adhesives, polyamide adhesives, and fluorine-based adhesives. The adhesive may contain a solvent. For example, both water-based and solvent-based solvents can be used. For medical use, it is preferable to select an adhesive that causes less skin irritation and skin rash, for example, acrylic adhesives and urethane adhesives are preferred.
[0081] The thickness of the adhesive layer may be, for example, 10 μm or more, 15 μm or more, 40 μm or less, or 30 μm or less.
[0082] The stretchable substrate, receiving layer, and protective film are the same as those described in the first laminated sheet, so their explanation is omitted in this section.
[0083] [Applications of laminated sheets] The following describes some examples of applications for the laminated sheets of this disclosure. However, the applications of the laminated sheets of this disclosure are not limited to the following examples.
[0084] The elongated laminated sheet (see Figure 7a) and the thermal transfer sheet are set in a thermal transfer printer. A sublimation-type thermal transfer printer with excellent color reproduction and gradation is preferred as the thermal transfer printer.
[0085] The thermal transfer sheet comprises a base sheet and, arranged in order on one surface of the base sheet, a transfer-type receiving layer, a yellow dye layer, a magenta dye layer, a cyan dye layer, and optionally a protective layer. The receiving layer is a transparent layer that receives the dyes transferred from the thermal transfer sheet. The yellow dye layer, magenta dye layer, and cyan dye layer each contain a binder resin and a sublimable dye, respectively. Known materials can be used for the yellow dye layer, magenta dye layer, and cyan dye layer. Details of the receiving layer are as described above. If the laminated sheet has a receiving layer, the thermal transfer sheet does not need to have a receiving layer, nor is it necessary to transfer the receiving layer as described below.
[0086] A transparent resin material can be used as the resin material constituting the protective layer. Examples of resin materials include polyester, polystyrene, urethane resin, acrylic resin, and acrylic polyol resin. The thickness of the protective layer may be, for example, 0.5 μm or more, 1 μm or more, 10 μm or less, or 5 μm or less. This can, for example, further improve the durability of the protective layer.
[0087] The thermal head and platen roll of the thermal transfer printer sandwich the laminated sheet and the thermal transfer sheet, and heat the thermal transfer sheet. The thermal head heats the transfer-type receiving layer and transfers the receiving layer onto the stretchable substrate of the laminated sheet. The receiving layer may be transferred to the entire surface of the stretchable substrate, or in the case of the first laminated sheet, it may be transferred to the area corresponding to the first adhesive portion, in the case of the second laminated sheet, it may be transferred to the area corresponding to the adhesive portion, or in the case of the third laminated sheet, it may be transferred to the area corresponding to the first region. Next, the thermal head heats the yellow dye layer, the magenta dye layer and the cyan dye layer in order, based on data such as the skin pattern sheet, and transfers the dyes to the receiving layer transferred onto the laminated sheet to form an image. If necessary, the protective layer of the thermal transfer sheet is then heated and transferred onto the receiving layer on which the image has been formed.
[0088] The laminated sheet, after image formation, is cut parallel to the width direction of the laminated sheet by a cutter in a thermal transfer printer to obtain a single-sheet laminated sheet. A cover sheet may be attached to the surface of the single-sheet laminated sheet on the stretchable substrate side as needed. The thickness of the cover sheet is, for example, 10 μm to 200 μm. Figure 7b is a cross-sectional view along line BB in Figure 7a. As shown in Figure 7b, a laminated sheet is obtained which has an adhesive layer 20, a stretchable substrate 30, a receiving layer 40 on which an image is formed, an optional protective layer 50, and an optional cover sheet 60 in this order on a release sheet 10.
[0089] Next, the laminated sheet is cut into the shape of the product form of the textured sheet using a known cutting device. For example, as shown in Figure 7c, when the laminated sheet is viewed from above, the laminated sheet is punched out in a circular shape.
[0090] As described above, a textured sheet having a desired shape can be produced. Figure 7d is a cross-sectional view of one embodiment of the textured sheet 2. The textured sheet 2 comprises, in this order, an adhesive layer 20, an elastic base material 30, a receiving layer 40 on which an image is formed, an optional protective layer 50, and an optional cover sheet 60 on a release sheet 10.
[0091] Thus, a skin-pattern sheet can be manufactured by a method that includes, for example, the steps of preparing a laminated sheet and a thermal transfer sheet according to the present disclosure, and using a thermal transfer printer to transfer the transfer layer of the thermal transfer sheet onto the stretchable substrate of the laminated sheet, and transferring the dye from the dye layer to the transferred receiving layer to form an image. The thermal transfer sheet comprises, for example, a substrate and a transfer layer including a receiving layer and a dye layer arranged in a plane order on the substrate. The thermal transfer sheet may also have a transfer layer, a dye layer and a protective layer arranged in a plane order on the substrate. The above method may further include the step of transferring a protective layer onto the image.
[0092] If the laminated sheet is in the form of a long strip, the above method may further include a step of cutting the laminated sheet into individual sheets. The above method may also further include a step of cutting out the region containing the image from the laminated sheet after image formation.
[0093] In conventional methods, users select a skin-patterned sheet that closely matches their skin tone from a range of available colors. However, the available colors of skin-concealing sheets are limited, and users may be dissatisfied due to the noticeable color difference between the sheet and their skin. According to this disclosure, skin-patterned sheets can be produced by on-demand printing from a photograph taken of the user. Therefore, the color of the skin-patterned sheet can be easily matched to the user's skin tone. This reduces the feeling of discomfort when the skin-patterned sheet is applied to the user's skin. Furthermore, skin-patterned sheets can be produced by on-demand printing of designs desired by the user. Examples of skin-patterned sheets include tattoo stickers and skin-concealing sheets.
