[0012] It can be understood that before using the technical solutions of the respective embodiments in the present disclosure, it is necessary to inform the user of the type, use scope, use scenarios, etc. of the personal information related to the present disclosure in an appropriate form in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and obtain the user's approval.
[0013] For example, in response to receiving an active request from a user, prompt information is sent to the user to explicitly indicate that the operation requested to be executed needs to acquire and use the user's personal information. Thus, the user can autonomously select whether to provide personal information to the software or hardware such as the electronic device, application, server or storage medium that executes the operation of the technical solution of the present disclosure by themselves according to the prompt information
[0014] As a non-limiting optional implementation, in response to receiving an active request from a user, the form of transmitting prompt information to the user may be, for example, a pop-up window, and the prompt information may be displayed in the form of text in the pop-up window. In addition, the pop-up window may be equipped with a selection control for the user to select "agree" or "disagree" to provide personal information to the electronic device.
[0015] It can be understood that the above-described notification and user approval acquisition procedures are only schematic, do not limit the implementations of the present disclosure, and other forms that meet relevant laws and regulations can also be applied to the implementations of the present disclosure.
[0016] As can be appreciated, the data according to the present technical solution (including but not limited to the data itself, the acquisition or use of the data) shall comply with the requirements of applicable laws, regulations and relevant provisions.
[0017] Hereinafter, the principles of the present disclosure will be described with reference to several exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings.
[0018] In the description of the embodiments of the present disclosure, the term "comprising" and its synonyms are open-ended inclusions, that is, should be understood as "including but not limited to". The term "based on" should be understood as "based at least in part on". The term "one embodiment" or "the embodiment" should be understood as "at least one embodiment". The terms "first", "second" and the like may represent different or the same objects. Other explicit and implicit definitions may also be included below.
[0019] As mentioned above, improved live streaming methods for competitions are needed. In conventional live streaming of competitions, users can only interact with other users and streamers through text comments when watching the live stream. Such a simple live streaming method does not give users a strong sense of experience with the match and fails to create an immersive viewing experience similar to that of an audience member at the venue.
[0020] Embodiments of this disclosure provide a scheme for use in live streaming interaction. This scheme allows a user to select a target participant to support in an interface related to a match activity. After the user has selected a target participant, the live streaming interface can associate various elements of the target participant with user input, thereby increasing user immersion and enhancing the user's awareness and viewing experience of the match. Furthermore, by enriching the interaction methods and improving the user experience, the above-mentioned problems and / or other potential problems can be solved.
[0021] The embodiments of this disclosure will be described in detail below, linked to illustrative scenarios. It should be understood that these are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit the scope of this disclosure in any way.
[0022] Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of an exemplary environment 100 that can implement several embodiments of the present disclosure. It should be understood that the environment 100 shown in Figure 1 is merely one example of an embodiment of the present disclosure and is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. The embodiments of the present disclosure are similarly suitable for other systems or architectures.
[0023] As shown in Figure 1, the environment 100 may include multiple users 110-1, 110-2 (hereinafter abbreviated as user 110), terminal devices 120-1, 120-2 (hereinafter abbreviated as terminal device 120), and a server 130. The terminal devices 120 and the server 130 are connected via a network, for example, via a wired or wireless network.
[0024] Terminal devices 120 include, but are not limited to, mobile terminals and fixed terminals. For example, mobile terminals include, but are not limited to, smartphones, smartwatches, tablet PCs, laptop computers, smart in-car devices, etc. Fixed terminals include, but are not limited to, desktop PCs, smart TVs, etc.
[0025] Server 130 may be an independent physical server, a server cluster or distributed system consisting of multiple physical servers, or a cloud server providing basic cloud computing services such as cloud services, cloud databases, cloud computing, cloud functions, cloud storage, network services, cloud communications, middleware services, domain name services, security services, and big data and artificial intelligence platforms. The live streaming interaction method of the embodiment of this disclosure may be implemented by terminal device 120, or by cooperation between terminal device 120 and server 130, and this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0026] The terminal device 120 may be a terminal on which the user's client resides, and is used to display match-related activity interfaces, such as a live streaming interface and a match activity interface. The client may be various programs on various types of terminal devices 120, such as various types of applications on smartphones and tablets, and the application may include applications with video playback functionality, and includes, but is not limited to, short video applications, music applications, friend-making applications, news applications, forum applications, cloud storage applications, etc. The client may also be various software programs on a personal computer, web pages, etc. This disclosure is not limited herein.
[0027] The match activity interface and live streaming interface in the client may include a live streaming screen display area and various controls, which may be buttons that trigger events in response to receiving user input (e.g., clicks, slides, swipes, spatial gesture controls, etc.). Such events may include selecting to join a target participant or jumping to another interface. In some embodiments, a user can join a participant they support by clicking a selection control. In some embodiments, a user can jump to another user interface by clicking a jump control.
[0028] The embodiments of this disclosure will be described from the perspective of a live streaming interaction device, which may be specifically integrated into a server or terminal. For convenience of explanation, the following will be described from the perspective of terminal equipment 120.
[0029] The process of live streaming interaction will be described in detail below with reference to Figure 2. Figure 2 shows a flowchart of process 200 used for live streaming interaction according to an embodiment of this disclosure. In some embodiments, process 200 may be implemented in the terminal device 120 and server 130 shown in Figure 1. The specific examples mentioned in the following description are all illustrative and are not intended to limit the scope of protection of this disclosure.
[0030] In the following description, for the sake of ease of understanding and explanation, we will use a soccer match as an analogy, where participants are, for example, different teams in a soccer match. To make it clear, participants may also be any object related to a live stream. For example, a streamer participating in an online penalty shootout may be considered a participant, a player participating in an audition activity may be considered a participant, or an item participating in a work review may be considered a participant. This disclosure is not limited herein.
[0031] In 210, the terminal device 120 may display selection controls to support the user in selecting a target participant from multiple participants, where the multiple participants are participants related to a live streaming event in a live streaming room. For example, in response to confirming the user's selection to enter a match activity-related interface, the terminal device 120 guides the user to join and support a particular target participant by displaying, for example, a "Join" button or other type of graphical indicator in the interface. This will be explained in more detail below, linking Figures 3 and 4. In this specification, a live streaming event may refer to a live stream in which participants compete against each other, but to make it clear, a live streaming event may also be, for example, post-match interviews with participants, and this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0032] In 220, terminal device 120 can display multiple participant markers for multiple participants in response to receiving a user selection for a selection control. For example, terminal device 120 confirms that the user has clicked the "Join" button displayed on the user interface and shows the user the team flags (e.g., the flags of the country or region to which each team belongs) and uniforms of multiple participants for further selection. This will be explained in more detail below, linking Figures 3 and 4.
[0033] In step 230, terminal device 120, in response to receiving a user selection for a target participant among multiple participants, associates the user's user account with the target participant. For example, when terminal device 120 confirms that user 110 has selected a target participant, it associates the user ID with the target participant. The target participant may represent a participant that user 110 supports, i.e., the user wants that participant to achieve a higher ranking or score more goals during the match. The association of the user ID with the target participant means, for example, that if a user chooses to support participant A in the activity interface, the user and participant A will also be associated in the live streaming interface. That is, in the client, if a user selects a target participant in one interface, that user will be bound to that target participant in other interfaces. This improves the user experience by eliminating the need for the user to repeatedly select the participant to support in different interfaces. This will be explained in more detail below, linking Figures 3 and 4.
[0034] In 240, terminal device 120 displays the user's input to the live streaming interface in association with the target participant in the live streaming interface. For example, when user 110 selects a target participant, when the user posts a comment in the live streaming room, a badge of the target participant, such as the participant's uniform or team flag, appears near the comment text, thereby indicating to other users which participant the user supports. If certain conditions are met, the user may also send stamps or gifts related to the target participant, such as exclusive stamps or exclusive gifts. To make it clear, the above-described live streaming interaction format allows users to express their feelings at any time while watching the match and to interact with other users who support the same or different participants, which significantly enhances the user's viewing experience and gives them the feeling of being in a real stadium. This will be explained in more detail below, linking Figures 3 and 4.
[0035] The above describes the process by which users select target participants. The following describes how users select target participants in different match activity interfaces, and how users interact with the live streaming interface after selecting target participants, linking Figures 3 and 4. For ease of understanding, the following will refer to a soccer match. For clarity, the match may be of various types, and this disclosure is not limited to such matches.
[0036] Activity Interface Figures 3A to 3G show schematic diagrams of the user graphical interface 321 of the match activity interface according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In this specification, a smartphone 310 is shown as the terminal device 120, but the terminal device 120 may be other devices, and this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0037] First, referring to Figure 3A, terminal device 120 displays an initial activity interface in response to user 110 choosing to enter the activity interface and the user not selecting a target participant. The initial activity interface includes a first area 330 and a second area 340. The first area includes an initial participant marker, which may be, for example, a jersey, and the jersey may have various special effects to attract the user. The background of the first area may be a changing room background. To further understand, different clients may support different benefits as functionality differs, and this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0038] The second area 340 may include selection controls 342 and benefit indicators 341-1, 341-2, 341-3, etc. (hereinafter collectively referred to as benefit indicators 341), where the benefit indicators represent the benefits that the user can obtain after selecting participants. To make it clear, the indicators are not limited to the three benefit indicators shown, but may include other benefits as well, and the user interface supports left and right sliding for the user to check them. Although six participants are shown, it is understood that there may be other numbers of participants, such as 32 participants. Displaying benefit indicators in the initial interface can attract users to participate in the live streaming event and improve the user experience.
[0039] In some embodiments, benefit indicators may include indicators, stamps, gifts, or chat channels associated with the target participant, such as exclusive indicators, exclusive stamps, exclusive gifts, or exclusive chat channels. An exclusive chat channel means that a user can discuss the match with other users who have selected the same target participant during the live streaming of the target participant's match. An exclusive indicator means that a home team badge (e.g., the participant's jersey or team flag) can be attached to comments in the live streaming room. An exclusive gift means that a user can send an exclusive gift during the target participant's match. An exclusive stamp means that a user can send an exclusive stamp during the target participant's match. To make it clear, the benefit indicators 341 displayed on the interface are designed to attract users to join the target participant and increase their sense of participation.
[0040] In some embodiments, the above benefits may further include the ability for the user to acquire resources after selecting a target participant to support, for example, after the target participant scores a goal, the user automatically acquires resources that can be used to switch participants during the match or to redeem prizes after an activity. Resources are described further below.
[0041] Next, referring to Figure 3B, when the terminal device 120 confirms receipt of a user selection for the selection control, it displays multiple participant identifiers 343-1 to 343-6 (hereinafter collectively referred to as participant identifiers 343) and a join confirmation control 344 for multiple participants in the second area 340. Here, the dashed line indicates that selection is not possible, because the user has not yet selected any of the participant identifiers 343.
[0042] Next, refer to Figure 3C. When terminal device 120 confirms that it has received a user selection for a participant marker among several participant markers, it switches to displaying the corresponding participant marker in the first area 330. For example, when the user clicks participant marker 343-5, terminal device 120 switches to displaying participant E's marker in the first area. To make it clear, at this time the join confirmation control 344 changes to a solid line. In Figure 3D, when user 110 further clicks participant marker 343-3, terminal device 120 switches to displaying participant C's marker in the first area. By switching and displaying the target participants' uniforms in the first area, the user can see the details of the team more clearly, making it easier for the user to make a final selection and improving the user experience.
[0043] In Figures 3E and 3F, when user 110 finally clicks participant indicator 343-6, terminal device 120 switches to displaying participant F's indicator in the first area. When the user subsequently clicks the join confirmation control 344, terminal device 120 receives the user's selection as participant F, and at this time, terminal device 120 displays a "Joining Successful" prompt (not shown) in the user interface and associates the user's user account with participant F.
[0044] Next, refer to Figure 3G. After associating the user's user account with participant F, the second area 340 displays at least one of participant F's live streaming event schedule, historical live streaming event data, or historical video. For example, as shown in Figure 3G, terminal device 120 displays participant match schedule 345, historical match results 346, historical match data 347, or match video 348. While the above information is illustrated, for clarity, one or more of these may be displayed, or other information may be displayed, depending on the user's settings, and this disclosure is not limited thereto. Displaying the above information after the user selects a target participant allows the user to easily arrange their viewing, further enhancing the user experience.
[0045] In participant match schedule 345, all match information for Team F is displayed. In some embodiments, when terminal device 120 confirms that participant F is in a match, it displays a live stream entry control, which is used to trigger entry into a live stream room for match playback. For example, the "Live Streaming" control in Figure 3G, when clicked, can open a live stream room playing the match between Team F and Team B. Optionally, in some embodiments, when terminal device 120 confirms that participant F will play against Team A in the future, it displays a "Live Stream Reservation" control. This "Live Stream Reservation" control can be clicked to change to a "Reserved" state, or clicked again to change to a "Cancel Reservation" state. Additionally or optionally, terminal device 120 also displays a "Video Playback" control, along with a view of past matches between participant F and participant A. Displaying the live stream entry allows users to easily jump between different interfaces, reducing the number of user steps and further improving the user experience.
[0046] In the historical match data 347, static data performance of Team F, such as goals, shots, attacks, and ball control rate, may be displayed.
[0047] Match video 348 may display match videos related to Team F. In some embodiments, the video priority displayed by terminal device 120 may be determined based on the following order: popular videos of the current match (i.e., videos related to the live streaming event) > popular videos of past matches > historically popular videos of participant F (or a star player among the participants). In some embodiments, the videos displayed by terminal device 120 may originate from video content in the current match live streaming room or historical videos of past matches.
[0048] To make it clear, when a user selects a target participant to support in the main activity interface of a match, the participant's match schedule displayed in the user interface can help the user better plan their viewing time. Furthermore, historical match results and match data can help the user better analyze the target participant and decide whether to continue supporting that participant or change participants to acquire more resources (e.g., points). The following explains how a user can change the participant they support.
[0049] As shown in Figure 3G, after the user selects a target participant to support, the terminal device 120 displays a switching control 332 in the user interface to support the user in re-selecting a participant, and then the terminal device 120 displays an interface similar to those in Figures 3E and 3F to allow the user to re-select a participant.
[0050] In one example, changing the participant a user supports requires resource consumption. In some embodiments, terminal device 120 receives a user selection for a participant identifier of another participant among multiple participants, and in response that the amount of resources associated with the user account is greater than a threshold resource amount, it associates the user with the other participant. It then updates the amount of resources associated with the user account to the amount of resources minus the threshold resource. After the association, the displayed user interface shows information such as participant match schedules and match results associated with the other participant, as shown in Figure 3G.
[0051] The resources here may be points, for example, when a user-selected participant's performance in a live streaming event meets certain conditions, the user can earn points. For instance, the user might earn 10 points when a target participant scores a goal, or 20 points when a target participant wins a match. The points here are merely illustrative, and the resources may be other virtual or real-world objects, and this disclosure is not limited to them. Updating the amount of resources in a user account based on the performance of a target participant can improve the user experience by increasing the user's sense of engagement.
[0052] Optionally, in some embodiments, terminal device 120 receives a user selection for a participant indicator of another participant among multiple participants, and in response that the resources associated with the user account are less than a threshold resource, displays a prompt indicating that there are insufficient resources for participant re-selection, and terminal device 120 displays an activity to acquire resources and a jump control associated with the activity, the jump control being used to trigger the display of the activity's user interface. To understand this, the activity here refers to an activity that can increase the user account's resources, which may be of various types, and which helps the user acquire resources (points) and better integrate into and participate in the ongoing live streaming event. This can improve the user experience.
[0053] The process for selecting target participants in the main activity interface of a match has been explained above with reference to Figure 3. Now, the process for selecting target participants in the live streaming interface will be explained below with reference to Figure 4.
[0054] Live streaming interface Figures 4A to 4H show schematic diagrams of the user graphical interface 322 of the live streaming interface according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0055] First, referring to Figure 4A, the terminal device 120, in response to the user's selection to enter a live stream, displays a live streaming interface to the user, which includes a live streaming screen display area 350, a comment display area 360, and interaction controls, the interaction controls including a selection control 361 and further including at least one of a comment input control 362, a gift control 363, or a stamp control 364. As can be understood, the comment input control 362, the gift control 363, or the stamp control 364 are similar to the functions in conventional live streaming rooms and will not be explained here.
[0056] As you can see, the selection control 361 is indicated by the default white jersey and plus sign. This indicates that the user has not yet selected any target participants to support. In this case, when the user posts a comment in the live streaming room, the default white jersey will appear in front of the user's icon when they refer to the first line of comments in the comment display area 360.
[0057] Next, referring to Figure 4B, in response to receiving a user selection for the selection control 361, the terminal device 120 displays multiple participant indicators 343 for multiple participants and a "Confirm Join" control in area 370 of the live streaming interface, excluding the live streaming screen display area 350. As can be understood, the process of a user selecting participants is similar to the description of the "main activity page" above. The difference is that dynamic jersey indicators are no longer displayed, which is to avoid interfering with the user's ability to view the match screen during the live stream.
[0058] After the user selects to confirm joining a target participant (e.g., participant F), the terminal device 120 replaces the selection control 361 with the participant F marker, in the figure, participant F's jersey (which may also include participant F's team flag). In some embodiments, in response to receiving a message entered by the user in the comment input control 362, the terminal device 120 displays the target participant marker in the comment display area 360 in association with the message. For example, when referring to the first line of comments in the display area, the default white jersey in front of the user's icon changes to the marker of participant F, i.e., participant F's jersey (or badge).
[0059] Optionally, in some embodiments, the terminal device 120 displays a gift selection area in response to receiving a user selection for the gift control 364. Subsequently, in response to the playback of participant F's match in the live streaming interface, the terminal device 120 displays at least gifts related to participant F, such as exclusive gifts, in the gift selection area. Then, in response to the user's selection for the exclusive gift, a prompt is displayed in the comment display area indicating that the user has sent the exclusive gift. For example, if the terminal device 120 performs a double check, i.e., the user selects team F and the participants in the match in the live streaming room include team F, the terminal device 120 displays an exclusive gift for team F to the user. The user can choose to send the exclusive gift, and as shown in Figure 4D, the message "XXX has sent an exclusive gift" is displayed in the user interface in the form of a barrage of comments. The exclusive gift design significantly enhances user engagement. When a target participant scores a goal, tens of thousands of users in the live streaming room who support Team F (i.e., those who selected Team F as their target participant) will send exclusive gifts, giving users the feeling of being in a real stadium cheering for Team F together.
[0060] Similar to exclusive gifts, users may also send stamps corresponding to the target participant. Additionally or optionally, in some embodiments, terminal device 120 displays a stamp selection area in response to receiving a user selection for stamp control 363. In response to playback of the target participant's match in the live streaming interface, terminal device 120 displays at least a stamp corresponding to the target participant, such as an exclusive stamp, in the stamp selection area. In response to a user selection for an exclusive stamp, terminal device 120 displays a prompt in the comment display area indicating that the user has sent an exclusive gift. As can be seen, the design of exclusive stamps, similar to exclusive gifts, significantly enhances the user's sense of participation and improves their desire to watch, something not present in conventional live streaming.
[0061] In the live streaming interface, a toggle control may be displayed to support the user's re-selection of participants, for example, control 361 in Figure 4D. Designing the selection control and the toggle control as the same control 361 makes it easier for the user to change participants and improves the user experience. As shown in Figures 4G to 4H, the terminal device 120 displays the participant markers for the multiple participants in response to receiving a user selection for the toggle control. As can be seen, when the user's supported team F is frequently breached and scored against by another participant during the live stream, the user may want to change the team they support.
[0062] In some embodiments, terminal device 120 receives a user selection for a participant identifier of another participant among multiple participants, and in response that the resources associated with the user account are greater than a threshold resource, associates the user with the other participant. Terminal device 120 then updates the resources associated with the user account by subtracting the threshold resource from the resources. For example, the number of points in the user account is subtracted from the threshold number of points required to switch target participants.
[0063] Optionally, in some other embodiments, as shown in Figure 4H, terminal device 120 receives a user selection for a participant indicator of another participant among multiple participants, and in response that the resources associated with the user account are less than a threshold resource, displays a prompt indicating that there are insufficient resources for participant re-selection. Terminal device 120 displays an activity to acquire resources and a jump control associated with the activity, which is used to trigger the display of the activity's user interface. As can be understood, the resource design further enhances the user's sense of participation, giving the user the feeling that they themselves are part of the game.
[0064] The above describes the activity interface and the live streaming interface, referring to Figures 3 and 4, respectively. To make it clear, the activity interface and the live streaming interface, or any other match-related interfaces not mentioned above, are interconnected. That is, a user simply selects a target participant in one interface, and unless the user changes the participant themselves, the user's account and that target participant are bound together. To make it even clearer, once a user selects a target participant, resources associated with the user's account will be increased if the target participant's performance during the match meets certain conditions, regardless of whether the user is in the live streaming interface, or if the user is offline or not logged into the client.
[0065] According to embodiments of this disclosure, users can select participants to support in a live-streamed event (e.g., a sports match), which enhances the user's sense of interactivity and participation by increasing their desire to watch. After the user selects a target participant, the message sent will include elements related to that participant, further enhancing interaction between users and between the user and the live-stream room streamer, improving the efficiency of human-machine interaction and providing an immersive live-stream viewing experience.
