Description

Technical Field

[0001] An embodiment of the present invention relates to a ladder for use on the car top of an elevator.

Background Art

[0002] In elevator maintenance and inspection work, there are operations performed by workers standing on the top surface of the car ceiling. During work on the top surface of the ceiling, workers may move across the car top beams installed on the top surface of the ceiling. To prevent workers from falling when moving across the car top beams, ladders for climbing over the car top beams are installed on the car top beams. Since the height from the top surface of the ceiling to the top beams and the shape of the top beams differ for each elevator, the ladders are required to be compatible with a wide variety of elevator models. As conventional techniques for the gangway ladders used to climb over car top beams, configurations are known in which handrails are provided between gangway ladders installed so as to straddle the top beams, and gangway ladders that are fastened with bolts to fastening holes provided in the car top beams, which are storable and can be used as work platforms when deployed.

[0003] However, the conventional gangway ladders require processing of the car top beams in order to be installed on the car top beams. For this reason, the work for installing the gangway ladders is time-consuming.

[0008] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. These embodiments are not limiting to the present invention. In the drawings referenced in the embodiments, the same or similar reference numerals are used for identical parts or parts having similar functions, and repeated descriptions thereof are omitted.

[0009] As shown in Figures 1 to 4, the elevator car ladder 1 according to this embodiment comprises a ladder body 20, arm sections 30, a first fixing device 40, a second fixing device 50, and an extension mechanism 60. In this specification, the longitudinal direction of the ladder body 20 is defined as the Z direction. The direction perpendicular to the Z direction along the width direction of the ladder body 20 is defined as the X direction. The direction perpendicular to both the X and Z directions is defined as the Y direction. The Z direction is sometimes referred to as the upward direction. To facilitate portability, the elevator car ladder 1 may be made of a lightweight material such as aluminum.

[0010] The ladder body 20 is constructed with multiple steps 22 provided between a pair of support columns 21. In the example shown in Figures 1 to 4, the pair of support columns 21 extend in the Z direction and are spaced apart from each other in the X direction. The multiple steps 22 also extend in the X direction and are spaced apart from each other in the Z direction. In the example shown in Figures 1 to 4, there are two steps 22. The number of steps 22 is not limited to two, and there may be three or more.

[0011] The arm portion 30 is provided on the upper part 21A of the support column 21, that is, on the upper end portion of the support column 21. The arm portion 30 has a longitudinal direction that intersects the support column 21. In the examples shown in Figures 1 to 4, the arm portion 30 is positioned to extend in the Y direction from the upper part 21A of the support column 21. Also, in the examples shown in Figures 1 to 4, a part of the arm portion 30 is in contact with the upper part 21A of the support column 21 from the outside (i.e., the side opposite to the step 22).

[0012] More specifically, the arm portion 30 has a flat lower wall portion 31 and a flat side wall portion 32 perpendicular to the lower wall portion 31. The lower wall portion 31 extends in the longitudinal direction of the arm portion 30 and contacts the upper surface 71 (see Figure 5) of the upper beam 70, which will be described later, from above. The side wall portion 32 is connected to the edge of the lower wall portion 31 along the lower wall portion 31. A part of the side wall portion 32 contacts the upper part 21A of the support column 21 from the outside. Because the arm portion 30 has the lower wall portion 31 and the side wall portion 32, it has an L-shape when viewed from the longitudinal direction of the arm portion 30.

[0013] The side wall portion 32 is provided with an elongated first fastening hole 33 that runs along the longitudinal direction of the arm portion 30. The upper part 21A of the support column 21 is provided with a second fastening hole 23 on the inner side (i.e., the side facing the step 22) that is opposite to the first fastening hole 33. The arm portion 30 is fastened to the upper part 21A of the support column 21 by fastening members 24 that pass through the first fastening hole 33 and the second fastening hole 23.

[0014] When fastening the arm portion 30 to the upper portion 21A of the support column 21, the fastening position of the arm portion 30 to the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 can be adjusted by relative sliding along the first fastening hole 33 and relative rotation around the second fastening hole 23. Here, "relative" means that instead of sliding and rotating the arm portion 30, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 can be slid and rotated while the arm portion 30 is fixed to the upper beam 70. Because the fastening position of the arm portion 30 is adjustable, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 can be properly fixed to the upper beam 70 while easing the constraints on the shape and size of the upper beam 70.

[0015] Multiple second fastening holes 23 are provided on the upper part 21A of the support column 21, spaced apart vertically. The arm portion 30 can be fastened to the upper part 21A of the support column 21 using the second fastening hole 23 that corresponds to the height of the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70. By providing multiple second fastening holes 23, the upper part 21A of the support column 21 can be properly fixed to the upper beam 70 while easing the constraint on the height of the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70.

[0016] The first fixing device 40 is provided on the arm portion 30. The first fixing device 40 fixes the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 in a state where the arm portion 30 is in contact with the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70 and the upper beam 70 is sandwiched from the front and rear along the Y direction. In the examples shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the first fixing device 40 fixes the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 in a state where the upper beam 70 is sandwiched from the front and rear between the first fixing device 40 and the upper portion 21A of the support column 21. According to the first fixing device 40, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 can be easily and appropriately fixed to the upper beam 70 without requiring machining of the upper beam 70.

[0017] The first fixing device 40 includes a side surface jack 41 and an abutment holding portion 42. The side surface jack 41 abuts on a first side surface 72 (see FIG. 5) of the upper beam 70 to be described later and applies a pressing force to the first side surface 72. In the examples shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the abutment surface of the side surface jack 41 is arranged toward the support column 21 side. The side surface jack 41 is configured such that, for example, by rotating the bolt of the side surface jack 41, the abutment surface of the side surface jack 41 moves toward the first side surface 72 side of the upper beam 70 and abuts on the first side surface 72. The abutment holding portion 42 abuts on and is held by a second side surface 73 (see FIG. 5) of the upper beam 70 to be described later, which faces the first side surface 72 in the longitudinal direction of the arm portion 30. Since the first fixing device 40 includes the side surface jack 41 and the abutment holding portion 42, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 can be appropriately fixed to the upper beam 70 with a simple configuration.

[0018] The lower wall portion 31 is provided with a long hole-shaped third fastening hole 34 extending along the longitudinal direction of the arm portion 30. The side surface jack 41 is fastened to the third fastening hole 34 on the lower surface side of the lower wall portion 31 by a third fastening member 45. In the example shown in FIG. 2, the side surface jack 41 is supported by a bent plate-shaped support portion 43, and the support portion 43 is fastened by the third fastening member 45. That is, the side surface jack 41 is fastened by the third fastening member 45 via the support portion 43. When being fastened to the third fastening hole 34, the side surface jack 41 can adjust the fastening position according to the distance between the first side surface 72 and the second side surface 73 of the upper beam 70 by sliding along the third fastening hole 34.

[0019] The contact holding portion 42 is fixed to the lower surface of the lower wall portion 31 so as to face the side surface jack 41 in the longitudinal direction of the arm portion 30. Since the fastening position of the side surface jack 41 is adjustable, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 can be appropriately fixed to the upper beam 70 while relaxing the restriction on the distance between the first side surface 72 and the second side surface 73 of the upper beam 70.

[0020] The second fixing device 50 is provided at the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21, that is, the portion on the center side in the extending direction (vertical direction) of the support column 21. The second fixing device 50 fixes the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 in a state where the upper beam 70 is sandwiched vertically between the second fixing device 50 and the arm portion 30. According to the second fixing device 50, by sandwiching the upper beam 70 vertically between the second fixing device 50 and the arm portion 30, the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 can be easily and appropriately fixed to the upper beam 70 without requiring machining of the upper beam 70.

[0021] The second fixing device 50 includes a bracket 51 and a lower surface jack 52. The bracket 51 is fixed to the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21. The lower surface jack 52 is fixed to the bracket 51. The lower surface jack 52 abuts against a lower surface 74 (see FIG. 6) of the upper beam 70 to be described later, and applies a pressing force to the lower surface 74. The lower surface jack 52 is configured such that, for example, by rotating the bolt of the lower surface jack 52, the contact surface of the lower surface jack 52 moves toward the lower surface 74 side of the upper beam 70 and abuts against the lower surface 74. Since the second fixing device 50 includes the bracket 51 and the lower surface jack 52, the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 can be appropriately fixed to the upper beam 70 with a simple configuration.

[0022] The bracket 51 has a first wall portion 51a and a second wall portion 51b. The first wall portion 51a is in contact with the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 on the rear side (that is, in the Y direction). The second wall portion 51b is connected to the upper end of the first wall portion 51a so as to face the lower surface 74 of the upper beam 70. Since the bracket 51 has the first wall portion 51a and the second wall portion 51b, the bracket 51 has an L shape when viewed from the X direction.

[0023] The first wall portion 51a is provided with a fourth fastening hole 53. The second wall portion 51b is to which the lower jack 52 is fixed. The intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 is provided with a fifth fastening hole 26 opposite to the fourth fastening hole 53. The bracket 51 is fastened to the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 by a second fastening member 27 that passes through the fourth fastening hole 53 and the fifth fastening hole 26. With this configuration of the bracket 51, the lower jack 52 can be held in the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 in a simple and appropriate manner.

[0024] Multiple fifth fastening holes 26 are provided in the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21, spaced apart vertically. The bracket 51 can be fastened to the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 using the fifth fastening hole 26 that corresponds to the height of the lower surface 74 of the upper beam 70. In other words, the fastening position of the bracket 51 to the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 can be adjusted according to the height of the lower surface 74 of the upper beam 70. By adjusting the fastening position of the bracket 51, the intermediate portion 21B of the support column 21 can be properly fixed to the upper beam 70 while easing the constraint of the height of the lower surface 74 of the upper beam 70.

[0025] The telescopic mechanism 60 is provided on the lower part 21C of the support column 21, that is, on the lower end portion of the support column 21. The telescopic mechanism 60 can be extended to a position where it contacts the upper surface of the ceiling of the elevator car.

[0026] The telescopic mechanism 60 is provided with a first fixing hole 61. The lower part 21C of the support column 21 is provided with a second fixing hole 28 that is opposite to the first fixing hole 61 in the front-rear direction. The telescopic mechanism 60 is fixed to the lower part 21C of the support column 21 by a fixing pin 62 that passes through the first fixing hole 61 and the second fixing hole 28. The fixing pin 62 allows the telescopic mechanism 60 to be easily and appropriately fixed to the lower part 21C of the support column 21.

[0027] Multiple first fixing holes 61 are provided in the telescopic mechanism 60 at intervals in the extension direction of the telescopic mechanism 60. The telescopic mechanism 60 can be fixed to the lower part 21C of the support column 21 using the first fixing holes 61 corresponding to the distance from the top surface of the ceiling of the elevator car to the upper beam 70. In other words, the extension distance of the telescopic mechanism 60 can be adjusted according to the distance from the top surface of the ceiling of the elevator car to the upper beam 70. By providing multiple first fixing holes 61, the constraint on the distance from the top surface of the ceiling of the elevator car to the upper beam 70 can be relaxed, and the ladder body 20 can be properly installed from the top surface of the ceiling to the upper beam 70.

[0028] When installing the ladder 1 for use on top of a cage having the above-described configuration, the lower surface of the lower wall portion 31 of the arm portion 30 is brought into contact with the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70, as shown in Figures 5 and 6. At this time, the arm portion 30 is temporarily fastened to the upper part 21A of the support column 21 by a fastening member 24 that passes through a first fastening hole 33 and one of a plurality of second fastening holes 23, which is predetermined according to the height of the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70. In the temporarily fastened state, the arm portion 30 is able to slide and rotate relative to the upper part 21A of the support column 21. In the example shown in Figures 5 and 6, the upper beam 70 is constructed by arranging a pair of C-shaped steel sections, each having a C-shaped cross-section, at a distance from each other in the front and back.

[0029] Furthermore, the contact holding portion 42 of the first fixing device 40 is brought into contact with the second side surface 73 of the upper beam 70 to hold it in place. After bringing the contact holding portion 42 into contact with the second side surface 73, the side jack 41 of the first fixing device 40 is brought into contact with the first side surface 72 of the upper beam 70 to apply a pressing force to the first side surface 72. In this way, the first fixing device 40 fixes the arm portion 30 to the upper beam 70 with the arm portion 30 in contact with the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70.

[0030] After fixing the arm portion 30 to the upper beam 70, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 is slid along the first fastening hole 33 and rotated around the second fastening hole 23 to adjust the fastening position of the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 to the optimal position according to the shape and size of the upper beam 70. After adjusting the fastening position, the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 is fixed to the upper beam 70 by tightening the fastening member 24. As a result, the first fixing device 40 fixes the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 with the arm portion 30 in contact with the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70 and the upper portion 21A of the support column 21 sandwiching the upper beam 70 from the front and back.

[0031] After fixing the upper part 21A of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70, the bracket 51 is fastened to one of the multiple fifth fastening holes 26, which is predetermined according to the height of the lower surface 74 of the upper beam 70, thereby attaching the second fixing device 50 to the middle part 21B of the support column 21.

[0032] After attaching the second fixing device 50 to the middle section 21B of the support column 21, the lower jack 52 is brought into contact with the lower surface 74 of the upper beam 70 to apply pressure. As a result, the second fixing device 50 fixes the middle section 21B of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 by sandwiching the upper beam 70 from above and below between itself and the arm section 30.

[0033] After fixing the middle section 21B of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70, the telescopic mechanism 60 is extended to a position where it contacts the upper surface of the elevator car ceiling, and the telescopic mechanism 60 is fixed to the lower part 21C of the support column 21 by inserting the fixing pins 62 into the first fixing hole 61 and the second fixing hole 28 at an appropriate position.

[0034] As shown in Figures 7 and 8, the ladder 1 for the cage can be attached not only to the upper beam 70 made of C-shaped steel, but also to the upper beam 70 made of hat-shaped steel. Note that the side jack 41 of the first fixing device 40 shown in Figures 7 and 8 differs from the side jack 41 shown in Figures 1 to 4 in that its contact surface is positioned on the opposite side from the support column 21. That is, in the example shown in Figures 7 and 8, the first fixing device 40 fixes the upper part 21A of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 by sandwiching the upper beam 70 from the front and rear between the side jack 41 and the contact holding part 42.

[0035] Furthermore, Figures 1 to 8 illustrate an example in which one ladder body 20 is fixed to one end of the arm portion 30 (the side with the first fixing device 40). The number of ladder bodies 20 is not limited to one; for example, another ladder body 20 may be additionally fixed to the other end of the arm portion 30 (the side with the contact holding portion 42). In this case, for example, one ladder body 20 fixed to one end of the arm portion 30 may be used for ascending when crossing over the upper beam 70, and the other ladder body 20 fixed to the other end of the arm portion 30 may be used for descending when crossing over the upper beam 70.

[0036] As described above, according to the embodiment, the first fixing device 40 fixes the upper part 21A of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 with the arm portion 30 in contact with the upper surface 71 of the upper beam 70 and with the upper beam 70 sandwiched between the front and rear. The second fixing device 50 fixes the middle portion 21B of the support column 21 to the upper beam 70 with the upper beam 70 sandwiched between the arm portion 30 and the upper beam 70 from above and below. The telescopic mechanism 60 extends to a position where it contacts the upper surface of the ceiling of the elevator car.

[0037] This allows the elevator car ladder 1 to be installed easily and inexpensively without requiring any processing of the upper beam 70. Furthermore, by releasing the fixings by the first fixing device 40 and the second fixing device 50, the elevator car ladder 1 can be easily removed from the upper beam 70 and carried away, so that one elevator car ladder 1 can be used for inspection work on multiple elevator cars. This improves the convenience of the elevator car ladder 1. In addition, by configuring the upper beam 70 to be sandwiched from the front, back and top and bottom by the first fixing device 40 and the second fixing device 50, the constraints on the dimensions of the upper beam 70 to which the elevator car ladder 1 can be applied can be relaxed. This improves the versatility of the elevator car ladder 1.

[0038] While several embodiments of the present invention have been described, these embodiments are presented as examples only and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. These embodiments can be carried out in a variety of other forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. These embodiments and their variations are included in the scope and spirit of the invention, as well as in the claims and their equivalents. [Explanation of symbols]
