Abstract

Provided is a balloon catheter that has improved pushability and enables a guide wire to slide in a superior manner.　A balloon catheter having a shaft (10) in which a lumen (100) of the shaft (10) includes a second lumen (120) and a first lumen (110) through which a guide wire (50) is inserted, a balloon disposed on the distal part of the shaft (10), and a tube (20) disposed in the second lumen (120), wherein the first lumen (110) and second lumen (120) communicate in a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal-axis direction, the outer wall of the tube (20) abuts the wall of the second lumen (120), the first lumen (110) includes the centroid (P1) of the outer edge of the shaft (10), and the shaft (10) has a restriction part (40) for restricting such that the tube (20) cannot move from the second lumen (120) to the first lumen (110).
