Abstract
Description
Liquid cleaning composition
[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid cleaning composition.
[0002] BACKGROUND ART Compared with conventional liquid detergents, concentrated liquid detergents have a higher content of active substances (i.e., surfactants, etc.), which improves the stain removal effect per unit mass of detergent, reduces the amount of detergent required for the same mass of fabric, and saves resources in the manufacturing process. Furthermore, compared with conventional liquid detergents packaged in large quantities, concentrated liquid detergents have environmentally friendly features such as using less packaging material, using more storage space, lowering transportation costs, and reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Concentrating detergents is of great significance for practicing green and low-carbon development, achieving the goal of "double carbon," and protecting the environment.
[0003] Currently, concentrated liquid cleaning products are typically packaged with lids for measuring and dispensing, but such packaging limits versatility because it requires the user to use both hands to pour the liquid. Additionally, as the active ingredient content increases, concentrated liquid cleaning products tend to become more viscous, making it difficult for users to dispense the appropriate amount of composition.
[0004] Therefore, there is a need for concentrated liquid detergents that can be contained in pump containers that are easy to operate and can be operated with one hand, but pump containers place stricter demands on viscosity control of the concentrated liquid detergent.
[0005] Summary of the Invention In order to solve the viscosity problem of concentrated liquid detergents, the inventors conducted special research and found that by combining a specific nonionic surfactant with a polypropylene glycol solvent at a specific content, the resulting liquid detergent composition not only contains a high concentration of surfactant and has excellent detergency as a concentrated liquid detergent, but also has excellent viscosity at low temperatures (e.g., 0°C to 10°C) and high temperatures (e.g., 30°C to 40°C), making it suitable for use in pump containers.
[0006] Therefore, the present invention provides a liquid detergent composition containing the following components (A), (B), and optional component (C), wherein the content of component (B) is 0.5% by mass or more and 9% by mass or less, the content of component (C) is 0% by mass or more, the total content of surfactants is 25% by mass or more, and the mass ratio of the content of component (A) to the total content of surfactants, (A) / ((A)+(C)), is 60% or more. Component (A): A nonionic surfactant represented by the following general formula (1): R 1 -O-[(EO) x / (PO) y ]-H (1) (wherein, R 1 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, PO represents a propyleneoxy group, x represents the average number of moles of EO added, y represents the average number of moles of PO added, x is a number from 1 to 100, y is a number from 0 to 5, and " / " indicates that EO and PO are bonded in a random and / or block manner.) Component (B): Polypropylene glycol having a molecular weight of from 400 to 10,000 Component (C): Surfactant other than component (A).
[0007] The present invention also provides a pump-container-packed liquid cleaning agent article, which is obtained by filling a pump container with the liquid cleaning agent composition of the present invention, and the discharge amount of the pump container is 5 g or more and 10 g or less per pump operation.
[0008] Furthermore, the present invention provides a cleaning method in which the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, diluted or undiluted, is applied to soiled textile products for cleaning.
[0009] The liquid detergent composition of the present invention is a concentrated liquid detergent composition, has excellent viscosity at both high and low temperatures, is adaptable for use in pump containers, is easy to handle, has excellent cleaning power, has a pleasant odor, and is not unpleasant.
[0010] Modes for Carrying Out the Invention Each component contained in the liquid detergent composition of the present invention will be described in detail below. [Component (A)] Component (A) of the present invention is a nonionic surfactant represented by the following general formula (1), and specifically, is one or more selected from the group consisting of aliphatic alcohol polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ethers and aliphatic alcohol polyoxyethylene ethers represented by the following general formula (1). R 1 -O-[(EO) x / (PO) y ]-H (1) (wherein, R 1 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, PO represents a propyleneoxy group, x represents the average number of moles of EO added, y represents the average number of moles of PO added, x is a number from 1 to 100, y is a number from 0 to 5, and " / " indicates that EO and PO are bonded in a random and / or block manner.
[0011] In general formula (1), R 1 is a linear or branched alkyl group, preferably a linear alkyl group. From the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity and detergency, R 1 The number of carbon atoms in R is preferably 10 or more and 16 or less. 1 is preferably a linear alkyl group having 10 to 16 carbon atoms, more preferably a linear alkyl group having 12 to 14 carbon atoms.
[0012] In general formula (1), from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity, the average number of moles of ethyleneoxy groups added, x, is preferably 1 or more, more preferably 5 or more, and from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity and detergency, it is preferably 30 or less, more preferably 25 or less, and even more preferably 21 or less.
[0013] In general formula (1), from the viewpoint of obtaining detergency and an appropriate viscosity, the average number of moles of propyleneoxy groups added, y, is preferably from 0 to 5, more preferably 4 or less, and even more preferably substantially none (i.e., y is 0). When y is 0, component (A) is an aliphatic alcohol polyoxyethylene ether.
[0014] The ethyleneoxy group and the propyleneoxy group may be bonded in either a random or block manner, or in a combination of a random and block manner.
[0015] The liquid detergent composition of the present invention preferably contains component (a-1) as component (A), and component (a-1) is an aliphatic alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (hereinafter also referred to as AEO) in which y in general formula (1) is 0 and the HLB value is 14 or more.
[0016] The HLB value is calculated using the following formula: HLB = 20 x (M w / (M w +M o )) (In the formula, M w and M o are the molecular weights of the hydrophilic and lipophilic groups of the surfactant molecule, respectively.)
[0017] The mass ratio (a-1) / (A), which is the ratio of the content of component (a-1) to the content of component (A), is 60% or more. If it is less than 60%, the viscosity of the composition will be too high. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity, (a-1) / (A) is preferably 70% or more, more preferably 75% or more, and preferably 100% or less, more preferably 95% or less, even more preferably 90% or less, and even more preferably 85% or less. This mass ratio is calculated by [content of component (a-1) in the composition] / [content of component (A) in the composition]×100.
[0018] In the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, component (A) may be used singly or in combination of two or more. From the viewpoint of detergency, the content of component (A) in the liquid detergent composition of the present invention is preferably 15% by mass or more, more preferably 25% by mass or more, and preferably 70% by mass or less, more preferably 30% by mass or less.
[0019] The present invention is characterized by the fact that, in a liquid detergent composition containing a high concentration of component (A), which is a nonionic surfactant, component (A) is used in combination with component (B), which will be described later, the liquid detergent composition not only has excellent detergency, but also has excellent viscosity at low and high temperatures, making it suitable for use in pump containers.
[0020] [Component (B)] Component (B) is a polypropylene glycol having a molecular weight of 400 or more and 10,000 or less.
[0021] From the viewpoint of an appropriate viscosity of the composition, the molecular weight of component (B) is preferably 600 or more, more preferably 700 or more, even more preferably 750 or more, and preferably 4000 or less, more preferably 2000 or less, even more preferably 1000 or less. From the viewpoint of the stability of component (B) in the composition, the molecular weight of component (B) is preferably 4000 or less, more preferably 2000 or less, even more preferably 1800 or less.
[0022] When a specific nonionic surfactant, an aliphatic alcohol polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether and / or an aliphatic alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, is used in combination with polypropylene glycol, the hydrophobicity of the polypropylene glycol increases with the average number of moles of PO added because the polypropylene glycol contains PO groups. The hydrophobicity of the PO groups promotes the interaction between the polypropylene glycol and the hydrophobic portion of the surfactant, making it easier for the polypropylene glycol to interfere with the formation of micelles in the surfactant, thereby achieving an excellent effect of adjusting viscosity. Meanwhile, as the molecular weight of the polypropylene glycol increases, its intramolecular interaction also increases, making it easier for intermolecular interaction to occur, resulting in an increase in viscosity. Therefore, by controlling the molecular weight of the polypropylene glycol within the above appropriate range, it is possible to maintain an appropriate low viscosity range even when stored at low temperatures.
[0023] In the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, component (B) may be used singly or in combination of two or more. From the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity, the content of component (B) in the liquid detergent composition of the present invention is 0.5 mass% or more, preferably 0.8 mass% or more, and 9 mass% or less, preferably 8 mass% or less, more preferably 6 mass% or less, even more preferably 5 mass% or less, and still more preferably 4 mass%.
[0024] [Optional Component (C)] Optional component (C) is a surfactant other than component (A). Component (C) is preferably at least one selected from anionic surfactants and cationic surfactants.
[0025] Examples of the anionic surfactant include polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate salts, linear alkylbenzenesulfonic acids and salts thereof, alkyl sulfate salts, alkanesulfonates, α-sulfofatty acid alkyl ester salts, α-olefinsulfonates, fatty acids and salts thereof, and among these, one or more of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate salts, linear alkylbenzenesulfonic acids and salts thereof, and fatty acids and salts thereof are preferred.
[0026] From the viewpoint of detergency, the polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate preferably contains an alkyl group of a linear primary alcohol having an average added mole number of oxyethylene groups of 1 to 5 and an average carbon number of 10 to 20. Examples of salts constituting the fatty acid salt include alkali metal salts such as sodium and potassium, and alkanolamine salts, but from the viewpoint of detergency and solubility, sodium salts are preferred. A specific example of the fatty acid of the present invention is myristic acid.
[0029] As the cationic surfactant, a quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant represented by the following general formula is preferred.
[0030]
[0031] (In the formula, R 1 is a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms, preferably a linear alkyl or alkenyl group; R 2 , R 3 , R 4 are each independently a methyl group, an ethyl group, a benzyl group, or a hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; X is a halogen atom, CH 3 SO 4 or CH 3 CH 2 SO 4 It is.)
[0032] A specific example of the quaternary ammonium salt of the present invention is dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride.
[0033] The combined use of an anionic surfactant and a cationic surfactant may inhibit the effects of each surfactant, affecting viscosity. However, in the present invention, by using component (C) in a specific ratio, the specific effects of each surfactant can be exerted.
[0034] In the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, component (C) is an optional component and may be absent, may be used alone, or may be used in combination of two or more. From the viewpoint of obtaining cleaning ability and an appropriate viscosity, the content of component (C) in the liquid detergent composition of the present invention is 0% by mass or more, preferably 1% by mass to 14% by mass, more preferably 3% by mass to 13% by mass.
[0035] In the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, from the viewpoint of achieving an appropriate viscosity, the total content of surfactants, i.e., the mass ratio of the content of component (A) to the total content of components (A) and (C), (A) / ((A)+(C)), is 60% or more, preferably 70% or more, and more preferably 75% or more. This mass ratio is calculated by [content of component (A) in the composition] / [total content of component (A) and component (C) in the composition]×100.
[0036] [Component (D)] The liquid detergent composition of the present invention may contain an optional component (D). Component (D) is an alkyl ether compound having a molecular weight of 300 or less and represented by the following general formula (2): R 2 -O-(EO) m H (2) (wherein, R 2 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, and m represents the average number of moles of EO added and is a number of 2 to 4.
[0037] In the general formula (2), from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity of the composition, R 2 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, preferably a linear alkyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms.
[0038] In general formula (2), m is preferably 3 or less from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity of the composition.
[0039] Specific examples of component (D) include alkyl ethers such as diethylene glycol monomethyl ether, triethylene glycol monomethyl ether, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether. Among these, preferred are one or more of triethylene glycol monomethyl ether and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, and more preferred is diethylene glycol monobutyl ether.
[0040] Component (B) has a good viscosity-thinning effect in liquid detergent compositions, and the incorporation of component (D) can further enhance this viscosity-thinning effect. That is, by using component (B) and component (D) in combination, the viscosity of the liquid detergent composition of the present invention is maintained in a low range at low temperatures (0°C to 10°C). On the other hand, the incorporation of component (D) increases the possibility that the viscosity will be too low when used at high temperatures (30°C to 40°C). In addition, component (D) itself has an odor that is unpleasant to users. Therefore, in order to balance the odor of component (D) and the viscosity of the liquid detergent composition, it is necessary to limit the ratio of component (B) to component (D) in the composition to a certain range. The mass ratio (B) / (D) of the content of component (B) to the content of component (D) is preferably 0.25 or more, more preferably 0.6 or more, even more preferably 1 or more, still more preferably 1.5 or more, still more preferably 2 or more, and is preferably 11 or less, more preferably 6 or less, even more preferably 4 or less, and is preferably 0.6 or more and 11 or less.
[0041] In order to prevent the composition from emitting an irritating odor, component (D) may be used alone or in combination of two or more. The content of component (D) in the liquid detergent composition of the present invention is preferably 5% by mass or less, more preferably 3% by mass or less, and even more preferably 2% by mass or less.
[0042] Furthermore, in the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, the total content of component (B) and component (D) is preferably 10 mass% or less, more preferably 9 mass% or less, even more preferably 8 mass% or less, and even more preferably 7 mass% or less, from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity.
[0043] Furthermore, from the viewpoint of obtaining an appropriate viscosity of the composition, the mass ratio of the total content of the surfactants to the total content of the component (B) and the component (D), i.e., the total content of the component (A) and the component (C), ((A) + (C)) / ((B) + (D)), is preferably 4 or more, more preferably 5 or more, even more preferably 6 or more, still more preferably 8 or more, and is preferably 17 or less, more preferably 16.5 or less, even more preferably 12 or less, still more preferably 4 or more and 17 or less, still more preferably 5 or more and 16.5 or less.
[0044] [Other Components] In addition to the above components, the liquid detergent composition of the present invention may contain appropriate amounts of components used in conventional detergents, such as solvents other than component (B) and component (D), softeners, disinfectants, colorants, preservatives, antioxidants, fragrances, pH adjusters, and chelating agents, as long as the effects of the present invention are not affected.
[0045] From the viewpoint of the viscosity of the liquid detergent composition at high and low temperatures, it is preferable that these other components contain a solvent other than component (B) and component (D).
[0046] Examples of the solvent include alcohols such as ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, and 1-butanol; glycols such as propylene glycol, butanediol, and hexanediol; triols such as glycerin, butanetriol, and hexanediol; polyols such as diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, and tripropylene glycol; and aromatic ethers such as phenoxyethanol, diethylene glycol monophenyl ether, triethylene glycol monophenyl ether, polyethylene glycol monophenyl ether, and diethylene glycol monophenyl methyl ether.
[0047] These solvents are effective as viscosity adjusters for the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, and are preferably one or more solvents selected from the above-mentioned alcohols, glycols, triols, and aromatic ethers, which can more effectively adjust the viscosity of the composition.Specific preferred components include one or more solvents selected from propylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, and glycerol (glycerin).
[0048] [Water] The liquid detergent composition of the present invention preferably contains water. In the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, the content of water is the remaining amount (adjusted to 100% by mass) excluding the components (A) to (D) and other components. Examples of water used in the present invention include deionized water, distilled water, high-purity water, and ultrapure water. Water that does not affect the composition, such as deionized water, is preferred.
[0049] The liquid detergent composition of the present invention is produced by appropriately mixing the above-mentioned components.
[0050] From the viewpoint of ease of operation with one hand, the liquid detergent composition of the present invention is filled into a pump container to obtain a liquid detergent article in a pump container, and the discharge amount of the container is 5 g or more and 10 g or less per pump operation.
[0051] In the present invention, the viscosity at high temperatures (30°C to 40°C) is typically the viscosity at a high temperature of 30°C, and the viscosity of the liquid detergent composition of the present invention at 30°C is preferably 60 cps or more, more preferably 70 cps or more, and even more preferably 85 cps or more, from the viewpoint of preventing scattering from the pump container when the pump container is pressed to remove the composition. If the viscosity at high temperatures is within this range, the liquid detergent composition will not scatter while the pump container is pressed.
[0052] In the present invention, the viscosity at a low temperature (0°C to 10°C) is represented by the viscosity at a low temperature of 5°C. The viscosity of the liquid detergent composition of the present invention at 5°C is 900 cps or less, preferably 650 cps or less, more preferably 500 cps or less, and even more preferably 360 cps or less, from the viewpoint of facilitating the removal of the composition by pressing the pump container. If the viscosity at a low temperature of 5°C is within this range, the liquid detergent composition can be easily removed from the pump container with one hand, and no composition remains in the pump container.
[0053] In the present invention, the viscosity of the liquid detergent composition is measured using a Brookfield viscometer. A rotor suitable for the viscosity may be selected. The viscosity measured one minute after the start of rotation is defined as the viscosity of the liquid detergent composition.
[0054] [Washing Method] The present invention provides a washing method in which the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, diluted or undiluted, is applied to soiled textile products for washing.
[0055] The liquid detergent composition of the present invention can be applied to textile products such as clothing, bedding, and fabrics, and is preferably used as a clothing detergent.
[0056] In the cleaning method of the present invention, after the textile product is washed with the liquid detergent composition of the present invention, the washed textile product is rinsed with water.
[0057] Cleaning methods using the liquid detergent composition of the present invention include contacting and / or soaking textile products such as clothing (especially highly soiled textile products) with the undiluted liquid detergent composition of the present invention, or contacting and / or soaking them with wash water obtained by diluting the liquid detergent composition of the present invention. Longer contact times and / or soaking periods enhance cleaning effectiveness. The contact and / or soaking process may be performed without the application of external force, or may be performed by hand washing, washing in a washing machine, or the like.
[0058] The wash water is obtained by diluting the liquid detergent composition of the present invention with water, preferably at a mass ratio of the liquid detergent composition of the present invention / water of 0.01 or more and 1 or less. Furthermore, the mass of the wash water is preferably 2 times or more, more preferably 3 times or more, even more preferably 5 times or more, and preferably 100 times or less, more preferably 50 times or less, even more preferably 25 times or less, relative to the mass of the textile product.
[0059] Furthermore, when washing, a method of using the above two methods in combination, i.e., first contacting and / or soaking a fibrous product, especially a very soiled part, with the undiluted liquid detergent composition of the present invention and applying external force by rubbing with hands, and then contacting and / or soaking the fibrous product with wash water obtained by diluting the liquid detergent composition of the present invention and washing in a washing machine to apply external force, is preferred because it provides stronger cleaning power.
[0060] Furthermore, when rinsing washed textile products with water, after the above-mentioned washing, the textile products are squeezed to remove the water or removed with a spin dryer, and then immersed again in new water (hereinafter referred to as rinse water). The rinse water may be water collected in a sink or running water. The mass of the rinse water relative to the mass of the textile product is preferably at least 2 times, more preferably at least 5 times, and even more preferably at least 10 times the total amount of rinse water required for rinsing, and is preferably at most 1000 times, more preferably at most 500 times, and even more preferably at most 100 times. During the immersion stage in rinse water, surfactants and the like remaining in the textile product are dissolved again in the rinse water, and foaming is observed. [0092] EXAMPLES The following examples further describe and disclose embodiments of the present invention. These examples are merely illustrative of the present invention and are not intended to limit it in any way. Liquid detergent compositions of the Examples and Comparative Examples were obtained using the components shown in the table below. The amount of each component in the table is expressed as mass % as the active ingredient, with the remaining amount being the amount of deionized water. The mass ratio values of the components in the table are listed without the denominator ( / 1).
[0093] Examples 1 to 19 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3 1. Preparation The components were mixed according to the formulations shown in Tables 1 to 4 to obtain the liquid detergent compositions of Examples 1 to 19 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3. The resulting liquid detergent compositions were subjected to the following evaluations. The results are shown in Tables 1 to 4.
[0094] 2. Evaluation (1) Viscosity 1. Approximately 100 g of sample was taken and placed in a glass bottle with a lid (specifications: bottle opening diameter x bottle body diameter x height (mm) = φ31.9 x φ51.5 x 95.5). 2. The glass bottles were placed in thermostatic water baths at 5°C and 30°C, respectively, and stored at constant temperatures for 30 minutes. 3. The sample was removed from the thermostatic water bath and a viscometer (specifications: BROOKFIELD DV2T) was used. A rotor was selected based on the viscosity of the sample. That is, a #62 rotor was selected for the sample stored at a constant temperature of 5°C, and a #62 rotor was selected for the sample stored at a constant temperature of 30°C. The rotor was rotated at 30 r / min or 60 r / min for 1 minute, and the displayed value was read immediately after stopping to measure the viscosity of the sample (viscosity unit: centipoise-seconds (cps)). Evaluation was then performed according to the following evaluation criteria. The measured values and evaluation results are shown together in Tables 1 to 4. The pass criteria for viscosity evaluation at 5°C and 30°C are 60 cps or more and 900 cps or less. If one of the results at both temperatures is "fail," the composition is determined to have an inadequate viscosity.
[0095] (2) Smell 1. Approximately 50 g of sample was taken and placed in a glass bottle with a lid (specifications: bottle opening diameter x bottle body diameter x height (mm) = φ31.9 x φ51.5 x 95.5). 2. Five professional evaluators smelled the sample and assigned scores according to the following scoring criteria. 3. An average score was calculated from the scores assigned by the five professional evaluators and evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria. The evaluation results are shown in Tables 1 to 4. Scoring criteria: Score of 0 to 1: No unpleasant odor; Score of more than 1 and less than 2: Slight unpleasant odor; Score of more than 2 and less than 3: Strong unpleasant odor. Evaluation criteria: ◎: Average score of 0 to 1; 〇: Average score of more than 1 and less than 2; △: Average score of more than 2 and less than 3.
