Abstract

Provided are an information processing system and an information processing method that can alleviate processing load on the server side. This information processing system comprises a server, and a first user terminal and a second user terminal that communicate with the server. The server comprises a first processor. The first processor controls movement of a first object disposed in a virtual space on the basis of operation information received from a first user terminal, and sets a first mode or a second mode to the first object according to whether the first object satisfies a predetermined condition. The second user terminal comprises a second processor. The second processor executes, when the first mode is set to the first object, a display process of displaying on a display an image in which the first object and a trajectory object for showing a movement trajectory of a predetermined region of the first object are shown in the virtual space, and does not execute the display process when the second mode is set to the first object.
