AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing systems fail to provide a highly realistic viewing experience when displaying remote travel images, as users may struggle to watch desired videos in real-time and lack immersion due to limitations in image synchronization with the user's orientation and position.

Method used

A control system that acquires and associates imaging device and display device identification information, detects the user's desired orientation, and controls the imaging device's orientation based on the user's position in a virtual reality space, displaying the captured image on the associated display device to enhance the sense of reality.

Benefits of technology

The system improves the sense of reality by synchronizing the displayed image with the user's orientation and position, providing a more immersive experience similar to actual travel.

Abstract

This control system comprises an acquisition unit, a detection unit, an imaging device control unit, and an output control unit. The acquisition unit acquires data in which imaging device identification information on an imaging device attached to a mobile body is associated with display device identification information on a display device of a user. The detection unit detects an orientation which the user wishes to view. The imaging device control unit controls the orientation of the imaging device on the basis of the detected orientation and the position of the user in a virtual reality space. The output control unit displays a video captured by the imaging device on the display device identified by the display device identification information associated with the imaging device identification information on the imaging device.
