Abstract

This battery comprises a main body part and an additional part. The main body part comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a housing member which houses the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The housing member includes a first conductive housing member that is electrically connected to the positive electrode, and a second conductive housing member that is electrically connected to the negative electrode. The additional part comprises: a first conductive layer that extends from an outer side surface of the first conductive housing member to an outer side surface of the second conductive housing member, and is connected to the first conductive housing member; and an insulating porous layer that is disposed between the second conductive housing member and the first conductive layer. The first conductive layer has an ionization tendency that is higher than the respective ionization tendencies of the first conductive housing member and the second conductive housing member, and has a first through hole from which the insulating porous layer is partially exposed.
