Abstract

In the present invention, a charging system comprises a control unit, a charging stand capable of charging a vehicle, a first vehicle, and a second vehicle. The control unit has a processor and a memory connected to the processor. The processor executes processes including: receiving a reservation for charging the first vehicle in the charging stand; deriving the time of estimated arrival of the first vehicle to the charging stand on the basis of the current position and speed of the first vehicle; and, when the arrival estimation time is later than a start reservation time for charging of the first vehicle, permitting charging of the second vehicle in the charging stand at some or all of the time span from the start reservation time to the arrival estimation time.
