Abstract

This hydraulic pressure generation device comprises: a hollow housing provided with a cylinder chamber into which hydraulic oil can be injected; a screw shaft in which a male screw groove is formed; a nut which is supported in the housing so as to be movable in the axial direction and in which a female screw groove is formed; a plurality of balls accommodated in a rolling path which is formed by the male screw groove and the female screw groove that oppose one another; and a piston which is slidably disposed in the cylinder chamber and connected to the nut. By rotating the screw shaft, the piston moves in the axial direction together with the nut to increase or decrease the volume of the space in which the hydraulic oil can be stored in the cylinder chamber.
