Description

Waste disposal device, waste disposal system, and waste disposal method

[0001] The present invention relates to a technique for transporting waste materials discharged from a component mounter that mounts components on a board.

[0002] A component mounter mounts supplied components onto a board by feeding a component supply tape containing components using a tape feeder. After components have been removed from the component supply tape, the component supply tape is cut by a cutter and discharged as tape scraps from the component mounter. In response to this, Patent Documents 1 and 2 disclose techniques for transporting and disposing of tape scraps in a storage box.

[0003] JP 2022-77059 A Patent No. 7213433 A

[0004] In particular, in Patent Document 1, tape scraps discharged from multiple component mounters are collected in a conveying device, which then transports the tape scraps to a storage box. Specifically, the conveying device transports the tape scraps horizontally and then diagonally upward, thereby raising the tape scraps above the storage box. The tape scraps are then dropped and transported to the storage box. In response to this, there is a demand for a compact system for transporting the collected waste (tape scraps) from the component mounters to a disposal box (storage box). However, the conveying device in Patent Document 1 does not fully meet this demand.

[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and has an object to make it possible to transport collected waste materials from a component mounter to a waste box in a compact manner.

[0006] The waste disposal device of the present invention is a waste disposal device that disposes of waste from a waste collection point where waste discharged from a component mounting machine that mounts components supplied by a feeder onto a board is collected into a waste box, and is equipped with a box accommodating section that is provided on one horizontal side of the waste collection point and that accommodates the waste box, and a waste transport section that transports the waste from the waste collection point to the waste box, and the waste transport section has a transport belt and a belt drive section that drives the transport belt, and the belt drive section has an elevation drive section that raises the transport belt along an elevation range that is provided vertically parallel to the waste collection point and between the waste collection point and an elevation point above the waste box, thereby raising the waste from the waste collection point to the elevation point, and a waste drive section that moves the transport belt from the elevation point to the waste point opposite the waste box from above, thereby moving the waste from the elevation point to the waste point, and transports the waste to the waste box by dropping the waste from the disposal point into the waste box.

[0007] A waste disposal system according to the present invention includes a waste transport system that transports waste from a component mounter to a waste collection point, and the waste disposal device described above.

[0008] The waste disposal method of the present invention is a waste disposal method for disposing of waste from a waste collection point where waste discharged from a component mounting machine that mounts components supplied by a feeder onto a board is collected into a waste box, and includes the steps of: lifting the waste from the waste collection point to the lifting point by lifting a conveying belt along an elevation range that is provided parallel to the vertical direction between the waste collection point and the lifting point above the waste collection point and the waste box; moving the conveying belt from the lifting point to the waste point opposite the waste box from above, thereby moving the waste from the lifting point to the waste point, and dropping the waste from the lifting point into the waste box, thereby transporting the waste to the waste box.

[0009] In the present invention (waste disposal device, waste disposal system, and waste disposal method) configured as described above, waste materials discharged from component mounters are collected at a waste collection point. The waste materials are then transported from the waste collection point to an elevated position above the waste box by a conveyor belt. In particular, the waste materials are transported to the upper side of the waste box by lifting the conveyor belt along an elevated range that is parallel to the vertical direction. Therefore, the transport of waste materials to the upper side of the waste box can be achieved in a compact manner in the horizontal direction. As a result, the transport of waste materials collected from component mounters to the waste box can be achieved in a compact manner.

[0010] The waste disposal device may further include a housing that houses the waste transport unit, the housing having a wall extending vertically from the waste collection point to a height equal to or higher than the top of the waste box, the wall having a pair of wall members spaced horizontally apart, and the lifting drive unit and the conveyor belt that is conveyed along the lifting range by the lifting drive unit being disposed between the pair of wall members. In this configuration, the wall can prevent waste transported by the conveyor belt to the top of the waste box from falling off the conveyor belt and scattering.

[0011] The waste disposal device may also be configured so that the housing has a bottom plate portion provided at the lower end of the wall portion, and the bottom plate portion has a groove provided in correspondence with the waste collection area. In this configuration, waste collected in the waste collection area can be accumulated in the groove, thereby preventing the waste from scattering.

[0012] The waste disposal device may be configured such that the lifting drive unit has a pulley that faces the groove from above and supports the conveyor belt, the groove has an arc shape, and a gap is provided between the conveyor belt supported by the pulley and the groove. In this configuration, it is possible to prevent the conveyor belt from coming into contact with the groove and wearing out.

[0013] The configuration of the wall portion can be changed as appropriate. For example, the waste disposal device may be configured so that the wall portion further includes a protruding member that protrudes to one side from one of the pair of wall members in the horizontal direction.

[0014] The waste disposal device may further include a belt drive unit that moves the conveyor belt from the disposal location to a passing location that faces the space between the pair of wall members from above, and a lowering drive unit that lowers the conveyor belt along a lowering range that is provided parallel to the vertical direction between the passing location and the waste collection location, wherein the wall member on the other horizontal side of the pair of wall members faces the conveyor belt raised by the raising drive unit from the other side at a distance, the wall member on one horizontal side of the pair of wall members faces the conveyor belt lowered by the lowering drive unit from one side at a distance, and the protruding member faces the conveyor belt moved by the turn-back drive unit from below at a distance. This configuration can prevent the conveyor belt from coming into contact with the wall members and the protruding member and causing wear.

[0015] The waste disposal device may also be configured so that the conveyor belt has an endless belt base and a plurality of bars arranged in the belt conveying direction in which the conveyor belt is conveyed, and the bars extend in the belt width direction perpendicular to the belt conveying direction and protrude outward from the belt base. In this configuration, the bars can reliably transport the waste.

[0016] The waste disposal device may also be configured to further include side walls disposed on both sides of the bars in the belt width direction. In this configuration, the side walls prevent the waste from escaping laterally from the bars, thereby ensuring reliable transport of the waste.

[0017] The waste disposal device may be configured so that the belt substrate has substrate end portions protruding from both sides of the crosspiece in the belt width direction, and the side walls are provided at positions offset from the crosspiece in the belt width direction. By configuring in this way, the side walls can be positioned relative to the conveyor belt having the crosspieces.

[0018] The waste disposal device may be configured so that a gap is provided between the crosspiece and the side wall in the belt width direction, which can prevent the crosspiece from coming into contact with the side wall and becoming worn.

[0019] According to the present invention, it is possible to transport the collected waste materials from the component mounter to the waste box in a compact manner.

[0021] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of a board production system that produces boards mounted with components. In this embodiment, the horizontal X-direction, the horizontal Y-direction perpendicular to the X-direction, and the vertical Z-direction are appropriately indicated. In the board production system 1, a printer 11, a buffer conveyor 12, and multiple component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C are arranged in series in the X-direction. When the multiple component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C are not distinguished, they will be referred to as component mounters 13. While transporting boards in the X-direction (board transport direction), the printer 11 prints solder on the board, and the component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C mount components on the board in sequence. Furthermore, the board production system 1 includes a tape waste disposal system 4 that disposes of waste (tape waste) discharged from each of the multiple component mounters 3A, 13B, and 13C into a disposal box 40. The tape waste disposal system 4 will be described in detail later.

[0022] The printer 11 prints solder on electrodes (lands) of the board where components will be mounted. In other words, the printer 11 prints solder on the electrodes of the board supported below the mask by using a squeegee to spread solder supplied to the upper surface of a mask having a pattern corresponding to the electrodes. The buffer conveyor 12 has a pair of belt conveyors 121 arranged in parallel in the X direction, and transports the board in the X direction while supporting it with the pair of belt conveyors 121. This buffer conveyor 12 temporarily holds the board after it has been transported from the printer 11 and before it is transported to the component mounter 13A, which is located furthest upstream in the board transport direction (X direction), and transports the board to the component mounter 13 when it becomes available for transport.

[0023] Fig. 2 is a partial plan view showing a schematic diagram of an example of a component mounter provided in the board production system of Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 is a diagram showing a schematic diagram of a tape feeder and a tape waste discharge unit that discharges tape waste used in the component mounter of Fig. 1. Next, the component mounter 13 will be described using Figs. 2 and 3.

[0024] The component mounter 13 has a transport conveyor 21. The transport conveyor 21 transports the board B in the X direction using a pair of belt conveyors 211 arranged in parallel in the X direction. Specifically, the transport conveyor 21 transports the board B from the upstream side in the X direction and holds the board B at a predetermined board holding position (the position of the board B in FIG. 2 ). The transport conveyor 21 also transports the board B, on which the components E have been mounted at the board holding position, from the board holding position to the downstream side in the X direction.

[0025] The component mounter 13 is equipped with two mounting heads 22. Each mounting head 22 is an inline type mounting head having multiple mounting shafts 221 arranged in a row in the X direction. Each mounting shaft 221 extends in the Z direction, and a suction nozzle is removably attached to the lower end of each mounting shaft 221. Each mounting head 22 can be raised and lowered in the Z direction, and mounts components E on board B by placing the components E picked up by the suction nozzle on board B. Note that the specific type of mounting head 22 is not limited to the inline type, and it may also be a rotary type in which multiple mounting shafts 221 are arranged circumferentially.

[0026] The component mounter 13 also includes an XY drive mechanism 23 that drives each of the two mounting heads 22 individually in the X and Y directions. The XY drive mechanism 23 has two X beams 231 provided for each of the two mounting heads 22. Each X beam 231 extends parallel to the X direction and supports the corresponding mounting head 22 movably in the X direction. A ball screw 232 extending parallel to the X direction and an X motor 233 that rotates and drives the ball screw 232 are attached to the X beam 231. In this example, the X motor 233 is a servo motor. The mounting heads 22 are attached to the nuts of the ball screws 232 of the X beam 231. Furthermore, the XY drive mechanism 23 also has a pair of Y beams 234 that extend parallel to the Y direction. Both ends of each X beam 231 are supported by a pair of Y motors 235 that allow movement in the Y direction. A Y motor 235 that drives the X beam 231 in the Y direction is attached to each Y beam 234. Each Y motor 235 is a linear motor in this example, and has a mover 236 attached to both ends of the X beam 231 and a stator 237 extending parallel to the Y direction. The X beam 231 is driven in the Y direction together with the mover 236 by the magnetic force acting between the mover 236 and the stator 237. According to this XY drive mechanism 23, the mounting head 22 can be moved in the X and Y directions by the X motor 233 and the Y motor 235.

[0027] Furthermore, the component mounter 13 is equipped with two component supply units 24, arranged on both sides of the transport conveyor 21 in the Y direction. Each component supply unit 24 has a plurality of tape feeders 25 detachably attached and aligned in the X direction. Each tape feeder 25 supplies the components E on the tape by intermittently feeding, in the Y direction, a component supply tape T that stores small pieces of components E (chip components) such as integrated circuits, transistors, and capacitors at predetermined intervals. The mounting head 22 then removes the components E supplied by the tape feeders 25 from the component supply tape T and places them on the board B held at the board holding position, thereby mounting the components.

[0028] The mounter 13 also includes a tape cutter 26 that cuts the component supply tape T discharged from the tape feeder 25, and a tape scrap chute 27 that discharges tape scraps Td, which are the component supply tape T cut by the tape cutter 26. That is, the tape cutter 26 cuts the component supply tape T, from which components E have been removed and which is discharged from the front end of the tape feeder 25, into tape scraps Td. The tape scrap chute 27 receives the tape scraps Td that have fallen from the tape cutter 26, transports the tape scraps Td toward the rear of the tape feeder 25, and discharges them into a discharge space 30 ( FIG. 4 ), which will be described later. This discharge space 30 is provided for each of the two component supply units 24 arranged on both sides in the Y direction. That is, two discharge spaces 30 are provided on both sides in the Y direction.

[0029] In this way, tape waste Td (discharged material) is discharged from the component mounter 13. This tape waste Td is disposed of in a disposal box 40 by the tape waste disposal system 4. As shown in Fig. 1, the tape waste disposal system 4 includes a tape waste transport system 41 that transports and collects the tape waste Td discharged from the component mounter 13, and a tape waste disposal device 44 that disposes of the tape waste Td collected by the tape waste transport system 41 in the disposal box 40. This tape waste disposal device 44 is adjacent to the buffer conveyor 12 in the Y direction and is shorter than the buffer conveyor 12 in the X direction. Therefore, when viewed from the Y direction, the tape waste disposal device 44 is located between both ends of the buffer conveyor 12 in the X direction.

[0030] The tape scrap transportation system 41 includes two tape scrap transportation devices 42A and 42B arranged in parallel in the X direction. These tape scrap transportation devices 42A and 42B are provided corresponding to two discharge spaces 30 provided on both sides of the component mounter 13 in the Y direction, respectively. When the two tape scrap transportation devices 42A and 42B are not distinguished from each other, they are appropriately referred to as the tape scrap transportation device 42. Each of the tape scrap transportation devices 42A and 42B extends in a tape scrap transport direction Dx parallel to the X direction and overlaps with multiple (three) component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C. Here, the tape scrap transport direction Dx is opposite to the board transport direction (X direction) and runs from the component mounter 13 to the buffer conveyor 12. Each of the tape scrap transportation devices 42A and 42B transports tape scraps Td discharged from the overlapping component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0031] The tape scrap transport devices 42A, 42B are arranged at an interval in the width direction Dy parallel to the Y direction. Of the tape scrap transport devices 42A, 42B, the tape scrap transport device 42A transports the tape scrap Td discharged from the discharge space 30 provided on one side in the Y direction of the component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C in the tape scrap transport direction Dx, and the other tape scrap transport device 42B transports the tape scrap Td discharged from the discharge space 30 provided on the other side in the Y direction of the component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0032] A tape waste transport destination 421 is provided at the downstream end of each of the tape waste transport devices 42A, 42B in the tape waste transport direction Dx. The tape waste transport devices 42A, 42B transport the tape waste Td discharged from the discharge space 30 of the component mounters 13A, 13B, 13C to the respective tape waste transport destination 421. The tape waste transport destination 421 of each of the tape waste transport devices 42A, 42B is located downstream in the tape waste transport direction Dx from the multiple component mounters 13A, 13B, 13C. In particular, the tape waste transport destination 421 of the tape waste transport device 42A protrudes downstream in the tape waste transport direction Dx from the tape waste transport destination 421 of the tape waste transport device 42B, and is located within the tape waste disposal device 44.

[0033] The tape scrap transport system 41 also includes a tape scrap transport device 43 that transports tape scraps Td from the tape scrap transport device 42B to the tape scrap transport device 42A. The tape scrap transport device 43 is disposed downstream of the component mounter 13A, which is the most downstream of the multiple component mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C, in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. In other words, the tape scrap transport device 43 is disposed between the component mounter 13A and the buffer conveyor 12 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0034] The tape scrap transfer device 43 extends in the width direction Dy parallel to the Y direction, with a tape scrap transfer destination 431 at one end of the tape scrap transfer device 43 being positioned relative to the tape scrap transport device 42A, and a tape scrap transfer source 432 at the other end of the tape scrap transfer device 43 being positioned relative to the tape scrap transport device 42B. In particular, the tape scrap transfer source 432 is positioned relative to the tape scrap transfer destination 421 of the tape scrap transport device 42B, and the tape scrap Td transported to the tape scrap transfer destination 421 falls into the tape scrap transfer source 432. The tape scrap transfer device 43 then moves the tape scrap Td from the tape scrap transfer source 432 to the tape scrap transfer destination 431.

[0035] Furthermore, the tape scrap transport device 42A has a tape scrap junction 422 upstream in the tape scrap transport direction Dx from the tape scrap transport destination 421. The tape scrap transport destination 431 is disposed relative to the tape scrap junction 422, and the tape scrap Td transported to the tape scrap transport destination 431 falls at the tape scrap junction 422. The tape scrap transport device 42A then transports the tape scrap Td from the tape scrap junction 422 to the tape scrap transport destination 421 inside the tape scrap disposal device 44.

[0036] Figure 4 is a front view showing a schematic relationship between multiple component mounters and a tape scrap discharge system, Figure 5A is a perspective view showing a schematic example of a support member of a tape scrap transport device, Figure 5B is a perspective view showing a schematic example of a transport chute of a tape scrap transport device, and Figure 5C is a perspective view showing a schematic example of the positional relationship between the support member and the transport chute.

[0037] As shown in FIG. 4 , the mounter 13 includes a housing 3 that accommodates the configuration shown in FIG. 2 . The housing 3 includes leg members 31 placed on a floor surface F and a housing main body 32 disposed above the leg members 31, and the leg members 31 support the housing main body 32 relative to the floor surface F. The leg members 31 are disposed, for example, at the four corners of the housing main body 32. The housing main body 32 has a pair of base blocks 33 provided at both ends in the X direction, and each of the pair of base blocks 33 is attached to the upper end of the leg members 31 and is supported relative to the floor surface F by the leg members 31. Furthermore, the housing 3 includes a pair of sidewall members 34 that extend upward from the upper ends of the pair of base blocks 33, and a top plate member 35 that extends in the X direction between the upper ends of the pair of sidewall members 34. The configuration shown in FIG. 2 is accommodated in an accommodation space 36 enclosed by the pair of sidewall members 34 and the top plate member 35.

[0038] A feeder mounting bank 241 provided in the component supply unit 24 is disposed in the storage space 36. The pair of sidewall members 34 are located on both sides of the feeder mounting bank 241 in the X direction and support the feeder mounting bank 241 horizontally. A tape feeder 25 is detachably attached to the upper surface of the feeder mounting bank 241. The tape feeder 25 is attached, for example, by a robot. A discharge space 30 is formed below the feeder mounting bank 241 in the storage space 36. Tape waste Td discharged from the discharge space 30 falls into a tape waste transport device 42 of the tape waste transport system 41. The discharge space 30 is open outward in the width direction Dy, allowing an operator to access the discharge space 30 from the width direction Dy.

[0039] The tape scrap transport device 42 includes a support member 51 that is detachably attached to the housing main body 32 of the component mounter 13 by fastening members such as bolts. As shown in FIG. 5A , the support member 51 includes a support bottom plate 52 extending in the tape scrap transport direction Dx and side wall plates 53 extending upward in the Z direction from both ends of the support bottom plate 52 in the width direction Dy. Furthermore, the support member 51 includes a protruding portion 54 that protrudes upward in the Z direction from the support bottom plate 52. The protruding portion 54 includes a protruding plate 541 that protrudes upward in the Z direction from the support bottom plate 52 and an attachment plate 542 that extends in the width direction Dy from the upper end of the protruding plate 541. The protruding plate 541 is disposed parallel to the tape scrap transport direction Dx and protrudes above the side wall plate 53, and the attachment plate 542 is positioned above the side wall plate 53. The protruding portions 54 are provided at each of the four corners of the support bottom plate 52. In other words, a pair of protrusions 54 are provided on both ends in the width direction Dy, standing upright from both ends in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0040] The support member 51 is attached to the base block 33 of the housing 3 of the mounter 13. As shown in FIG. 4 , two base blocks 33 are arranged on both sides of the discharge space 30 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx, and each base block 33 is adjacent to the discharge space 30. In contrast, the support member 51 is arranged between the two base blocks 33 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. In this state, the attachment plate 542 provided at the upstream end of the support member 51 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx faces the base block 33 of the two base blocks 33 that is upstream in the tape scrap transport direction Dx and is fastened to that base block 33 with a fastening member. In addition, the attachment plate 542 provided at the downstream end of the support member 51 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx faces the base block 33 of the two base blocks 33 that is downstream in the tape scrap transport direction Dx and is fastened to that base block 33 with a fastening member. In this way, one support member 51 is detachably attached to each of the mounters 13A, 13B, and 13C. In other words, the tape scrap transport device 42 has a plurality of support members 51 arranged in the tape scrap transport direction Dx, and the plurality of support members 51 are respectively attached to different mounters 13. In this way, the support bottom plate 52 of the support member 51 attached to the mounter 13 is supported horizontally by the base block 33.

[0041] The tape scrap transport device 42 also includes a transport chute 55 mounted on the support member 51. As shown in FIG. 5B , the transport chute 55 has a chute bottom plate 56 extending in the tape scrap transport direction Dx and side wall plates 57 erected in the Z direction upward from both ends of the chute bottom plate 56 in the width direction Dy. As shown in FIG. 5C , the transport chute 55 is mounted on the support member 51. That is, the chute bottom plate 56 of the transport chute 55 is mounted on the upper surface of the support bottom plate 52 of the support member 51. The two side wall plates 53 that the support member 51 has at both ends in the width direction Dy sandwich the transport chute 55 mounted on the support bottom plate 52 from the width direction Dy. The support member 51 is open on both sides in the tape scrap transport direction Dx, and the distance between the support bottom plate 52 and the mounting plate 542 is wider than the height of the side wall plates 57. Therefore, the transport chute 55 can be inserted into the support member 51 through an opening provided between the support bottom plate 52 and the mounting plate 542 at the end of the support member 51 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. In this way, the chute bottom plate 56 of the transport chute 55 supported by the support member 51 is supported horizontally, and the transport chute 55 opens at both ends in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0042] As shown in Fig. 4, the tape scrap transport device 42 has multiple transport chutes 55A, 55B, 55C, and 55D arranged in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. In Fig. 4, different reference numerals are used to distinguish the multiple transport chutes 55 from one another. In the tape scrap transport direction Dx, the downstream end of the transport chute 55A is located inside the tape scrap disposal device 44, and the upstream end of the transport chute 55A is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the component mounter 13A. The downstream end of the transport chute 55B is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the component mounter 13A, and the upstream end of the transport chute 55B is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the component mounter 13B. The downstream end of the transport chute 55C is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the mounter 13B, and the upstream end of the transport chute 55C is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the mounter 13C. The downstream end of the transport chute 55D is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the mounter 13C, and the upstream end of the transport chute 55D is located upstream of the support member 51 attached to the mounter 13B.

[0043] The upstream end of transport chute 55A and the downstream end of transport chute 55B are connected by a connecting fitting 59. This connecting fitting 59 is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the component mounter 13A. The upstream end of transport chute 55B and the downstream end of transport chute 55C are connected by a connecting fitting 59. This connecting fitting 59 is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the component mounter 13B. Furthermore, the upstream end of transport chute 55C and the downstream end of transport chute 55D are connected by a connecting fitting 59. This connecting fitting 59 is located between the protrusions 54 on both ends of the support member 51 attached to the component mounter 13C.

[0044] In this way, the tape scrap transport device 42 has a plurality of transport chutes 55 arranged in the tape scrap transport direction Dx, and the plurality of transport chutes 55 are integrally connected by connecting fittings 59. In contrast, the tape scrap transport device 42 is equipped with a vibration generating unit 6 (FIG. 6) that vibrates the plurality of transport chutes 55 integrally in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0045] FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of a vibration generating unit provided in a tape scrap transport device. The vibration generating unit 6 is attached to one of the multiple transport chutes 55. The vibration generating unit 6 includes a vibration driving source 61 mounted on the support bottom plate 52 of the support member 51 and rods 62 protruding from both sides of the vibration driving source 61 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. The vibration driving source 61 vibrates the rods 62 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. The vibration generating unit 6 also includes mounting brackets 63 that attach the bottom surface of the vibration driving source 61 to the support bottom plate 52 of the support member 51. The vibration generating unit 6 also includes mounting blocks 64 on both ends of the rod 62 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. The chute bottom plate 56 of the transport chute 55 is mounted on the upper surface of each mounting block 64. In this manner, the transport chute 55 is mounted on the support member 51 via the vibration generating unit 6. The vibration generating unit 6 also has a mounting bracket 65 that attaches a mounting block 64 to the chute bottom plate 56 of the transport chute 55. In this example, the mounting bracket 65 is an L-shaped bracket. The vibration generating unit 6 vibrates the transport chute 55 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx relative to the support member 51 by driving the rod 62 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx using the vibration drive source 61. This causes the multiple transport chutes 55 that are integrally connected to each other to vibrate in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0046] The tape scrap transport device 42 configured in this manner receives the tape scraps Td discharged from the discharge spaces 30 of the multiple component mounters 13 by the chute bottom plate 56 of the transport chute 55. The tape scrap transport device 42 then transports the tape scraps Td on the transport chute 55 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx by vibrating the transport chute 55 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx using the vibration generating unit 6.

[0047] 7 is a perspective view schematically illustrating an example of a tape scrap transport device. The tape scrap transport device 43 includes a belt conveyor 71 extending in the width direction Dy. In the width direction Dy, one end (downstream end 711) of the belt conveyor 71 is positioned relative to the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42A, and the other end (upstream end 712) of the belt conveyor 71 is positioned relative to the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42B. The belt conveyor 71 moves in a transport direction Dt, ascending from the upstream end 712 toward the downstream end 711.

[0048] The upstream end 712 of the belt conveyor 71 in the transfer direction Dt corresponds to the tape scrap transfer source 432 described above and is positioned relative to the tape scrap transfer destination 421 of the tape scrap transport device 42B. The upstream end 712 of the belt conveyor 71 is located below the tape scrap transfer destination 421 of the tape scrap transport device 42B. In contrast, the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42B has a slit 571 that opens toward the tape scrap transfer destination 421. That is, two side wall plates 57 are provided at both ends of the transport chute 55 in the width direction Dy. Of these side wall plates 57, the slit 571 opens adjacent to the downstream end of one of the side wall plates 57 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. Furthermore, a tapered plate 572 is provided at the downstream end of the other side wall plate 57 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. This tapered plate 572 approaches the slit 571 as it moves downstream in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. Therefore, the tape scraps Td that have reached the tape scrap transport destination 421 of the transport chute 55 are guided by the tapered plate 572 to the slit 571 and are discharged from the slit 571. The tape scraps Td discharged from the slit 571 fall onto the upstream end 712 (tape scrap transport source 432) of the belt conveyor 71 and are transported in the transport direction Dt by the belt conveyor 71.

[0049] The tape scrap transport device 43 also includes a chute 72 adjacent to the downstream end 711 of the belt conveyor 71 from the downstream side in the transport direction Dt. The chute 72 is disposed above the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42A. The chute 72 opens at the top and bottom, and the lower opening of the chute 72 faces the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42A. Therefore, the tape scrap Td transported by the belt conveyor 71 in the transport direction Dt and reaching the downstream end 711 falls via the chute 72 into the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42A. In other words, the area of the transport chute 55 that faces the opening of the chute 72 corresponds to the tape scrap junction 422. In this way, the tape scrap Td is transported from the tape scrap transport device 42B to the tape scrap transport device 42A by the tape scrap transport device 43.

[0050] As described above, the transport chute 55 of the tape scrap transport device 42A transports the tape scraps Td from the tape scrap junction 422 to the tape scrap transport destination 421. This tape scrap transport destination 421 is located inside the tape scrap disposal device 44.

[0051] 8 is a front view schematically showing the internal configuration of the tape waste disposal device. The tape waste disposal device 44 includes a housing 81. The housing 81 has a bottom plate 811 placed horizontally on the floor surface F (FIG. 4), and outer wall portions 812 and 813 extending in the Z direction from both ends of the bottom plate 811 in the tape waste transport direction Dx. In the tape waste transport direction Dx, the outer wall portion 812 extends from the downstream end of the bottom plate 811, and the outer wall portion 813 extends from the upstream end of the bottom plate 811. The housing 81 also has a top plate portion 814 spanning across the upper ends of the outer wall portions 812 and 813.

[0052] Furthermore, the housing 81 has a partition wall 815 that stands upright in the Z direction from the bottom plate 811 between the outer wall wall 812 and the outer wall wall 813 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. A box storage chamber 821 is formed between the partition wall 815 and the outer wall wall 812. That is, the box storage chamber 821 is provided on the downstream side of the partition wall 815 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. A waste box 40 is stored in the box storage chamber 821, and the upper end 401 of the waste box 40 opens upward. The partition wall 815 extends above the upper end 401 of the waste box 40. The housing 81 also has a protruding frame 816 that extends from the upper end of the partition wall 815 toward the box storage chamber 821 (the downstream side in the tape scrap transport direction Dx).

[0053] An ascending transport chamber 822 is provided between the partition wall 815 and the outer wall 813. The bottom of this ascending transport chamber 822 (the upper surface of the bottom plate 811) serves as the tape scrap transport destination 421 of the tape scrap transport device 42A. In other words, a tape collection point Lc (corresponding to the tape scrap transport destination 421 of the tape scrap transport device 42A) is provided at the bottom of the ascending transport chamber 822, where the tape scraps Td transported in the tape scrap transport direction Dx by the tape scrap transport system 41 are collected.

[0054] Furthermore, the tape scrap disposal device 44 includes a tape scrap transport unit 83 housed in the housing 81. This tape scrap transport unit 83 has a plurality of pulleys 841, 842, and 843, a vertical frame 844 that supports the pulleys 841 and 842, and a horizontal frame 845 that supports the pulley 843. Each of the pulleys 841, 842, and 843 is supported rotatably about a rotation axis that is parallel to the width direction Dy.

[0055] The vertical frame 844 is disposed in the ascending transport chamber 822 and extends parallel to the Z direction. The upper end of this vertical frame 844 protrudes upward from the upper end of the partition wall portion 815. A pulley 841 is rotatably supported at the lower end of the vertical frame 844, and a pulley 842 is rotatably supported at the upper end of the vertical frame 844. The pulley 841 is located below the upper end 401 of the disposal box 40 and faces the tape gathering point Lc. The pulley 842 is located above the upper end 401 of the disposal box 40. The pulleys 841 and 842 have the same diameter and are aligned in the Z direction.

[0056] The horizontal frame 845 extends horizontally from the vertical frame 844 toward the box storage chamber 821 (downstream side in the tape scrap transport direction Dx). The horizontal frame 845 is located above the upper end of the partition wall 815 and below the pulley 842. A pulley 843 is rotatably supported on the end of the horizontal frame 845 on the box storage chamber 821 side. The pulley 843 faces the upper end 401 of the disposal box 40 from above in the Z direction.

[0057] The tape scrap transport unit 83 also has a bearing 846 and a support plate 847 that rotatably supports the bearing 846. The bearing 846 is rotatable about a rotation axis that is parallel to the width direction Dy. The bearing 846 is disposed below the pulley 843 and above the upper end of the partition wall 815. The bearing 846 is also disposed between the pulleys 842 and 843 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx, and faces the ascending transport chamber 822 from above in the Z direction.

[0058] Furthermore, the tape scrap transport unit 83 has an endless transport belt 85 that is stretched over pulleys 841, 842, and 843 and a bearing 846. As described below, the transport belt 85 has bars that protrude outward, and these bars are used to transport the tape scraps Td. Each of the pulleys 841, 842, and 843 is provided inside the transport belt 85 and contacts the inner circumferential surface of the transport belt 85. The bearing 846 is provided outside the transport belt 85 and contacts the outer circumferential surface of the transport belt 85. The tape scrap transport unit 83 also has a pulley drive unit 848 that drives the pulley 843. When the pulley drive unit 848 drives the pulley 843, the transport belt 85 circulates.

[0059] As described above, the pulley 841 and the pulley 842 above the pulley 841 are provided. These pulleys 841 and 842 function as an elevation drive unit that elevates the conveyor belt 85 from the tape collection point Lc to the elevation point Lu. Here, the elevation point Lu corresponds to the contact portion (wrapped portion) between the pulley 842 and the conveyor belt 85, and is located above the upper end 401 of the waste box 40 and the upper end of the partition wall 815. In addition, in the tape scrap conveyance direction Dx, the upstream end (one end) of the pulley 841 and the upstream end (one end) of the pulley 842 are aligned vertically, and the elevation range Ru from the upstream end of the pulley 841 to the upstream end of the pulley 842 is parallel to the Z direction. Therefore, in the elevation range Ru from one end (upstream end) of the pulley 841 to one end (upstream end) of the pulley 842, the conveyor belt 85 ascends parallel to the Z direction. That is, the conveyor belt 85 from pulley 841 to pulley 842 rises parallel to the Z direction. In this way, the conveyor belt 85 rises along a rising range Ru that is provided parallel to the Z direction between the tape gathering point Lc and the rising point Lu. As a result of driving the conveyor belt 85 by the pulleys 841 and 842 in this manner, the tape scraps Td are raised from the tape gathering point Lc to the rising point Lu via the rising range Ru. Note that the outer wall portion 813 faces the conveyor belt 85 rising along the rising range Ru from the upstream side in the tape scrap conveyance direction Dx.

[0060] Also provided are a pulley 842 and a pulley 843 downstream of the pulley 842 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. These pulleys 842 and 843 function as a disposal drive unit that moves the conveyor belt 85 from the lifting point Lu to the disposal point Ld. Here, the disposal point Ld corresponds to the contact portion (wrapped portion) between the pulley 843 and the conveyor belt 85, and faces the upper end 401 of the disposal box 40 from above. In other words, in a plan view from the Z direction, the disposal point Ld is included in the upper end 401 (opening) of the disposal box 40. In the tape scrap transport direction Dx, the pulley 843 is located downstream of the downstream end of the protruding frame 816. Therefore, in a plan view from the Z direction, the pulley 843 does not overlap the protruding frame 816. Because the upper end of pulley 843 is located lower than the upper end of pulley 842, the conveyor belt 85 moves downstream in the tape scrap conveying direction Dx while descending from pulley 842 to pulley 843. As a result, the tape scrap Td is conveyed by the conveyor belt 85 from the rising point Lu to the disposal point Ld. Then, the tape scrap Td that has reached the disposal point Ld drops from the disposal point Ld into the upper end 401 (opening) of the disposal box 40 and is discarded in the disposal box 40.

[0061] Also provided is a pulley 843 and a bearing 846 located upstream of the pulley 843 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. The pulley 843 and the bearing 846 function as a return drive unit that returns the conveyor belt 85, which has reached the disposal point Ld, to the upstream side in the tape scrap transport direction Dx and moves the conveyor belt 85 from the disposal point Ld to the intermediate point Lt. Here, the intermediate point Lt corresponds to the contact portion (wrapped portion) between the bearing 846 and the conveyor belt 85, and faces the ascending conveyor chamber 822 from above. In other words, in a plan view from the Z direction, the intermediate point Lt is included in the ascending conveyor chamber 822. The lower end of the pulley 843 and the upper end of the bearing 846 are horizontally aligned, and the conveyor belt 85 moves horizontally from the pulley 843 to the bearing 846 before reaching the intermediate point Lt. Note that the protruding frame 816 faces the conveyor belt 85 from below as it moves horizontally toward the bearing 846.

[0062] Also provided is a bearing 846 and a pulley 841 below the bearing 846. The bearing 846 and the pulley 841 function as a descending drive unit that descends the conveyor belt 85 from the intermediate point Lt to the tape collection point Lc. In the tape scrap conveyance direction Dx, the upstream end (one end) of the bearing 846 and the downstream end (the other end) of the pulley 841 are aligned vertically, and a descending range Rd from the upstream end (one end) of the bearing 846 to the downstream end (the other end) of the pulley 841 is provided parallel to the Z direction. Therefore, the conveyor belt 85 descends parallel to the Z direction in the descending range Rd from one end (upstream end) of the bearing 846 to the other end (downstream end) of the pulley 841. That is, the conveyor belt 85 descends parallel to the Z direction from the bearing 846 to the pulley 841. In this way, the conveyor belt 85 descends along a descending range Rd that is provided parallel to the Z direction between the intermediate point Lt and the tape gathering point Lc. Note that the partition wall 815 faces the conveyor belt 85 descending along the descending range Rd from the downstream side in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0063] 9A to 9D are diagrams schematically illustrating the positional relationship between the conveyor belt and the housing. As shown in these figures, the conveyor belt 85 has an endless belt base material 851 and bars 853 that protrude outward from an outer peripheral surface 852 of the belt base material 851. The bars 853 extend in the width direction Dy. On the conveyor belt 85, multiple bars 853 are arranged at equal intervals in the direction in which the conveyor belt 85 circulates.

[0064] 9A shows the positional relationship between the conveyor belt 85 and the tape collection point Lc provided on the bottom plate 811 in the ascending conveying chamber 822. The lower end of the pulley 841 contacts the inner circumferential surface 854 of the conveyor belt 85. In contrast, the bottom plate 811 is provided with a groove 817 that faces the pulley 841 from below, with the conveyor belt 85 interposed therebetween. The groove 817 has an arc shape that is concentric with the rotation axis of the pulley 841, as viewed from the width direction Dy. A gap wider than the thickness of the crosspiece 853 is provided between the belt substrate 851 of the conveyor belt 85 wound around the pulley 841 and the groove 817. This forms a gap between the conveyor belt 85 and the groove 817. Tape scraps Td collected by the tape scrap conveying system 41 accumulate in the groove 817. That is, a tape gathering point Lc is formed between the belt base material 851 of the conveyor belt 85 and the groove 817, and the crosspiece 853 carries the tape scraps Td from the tape gathering point Lc as the conveyor belt 85 circulates. As a result, as described above, the tape scraps Td are transported from the tape gathering point Lc to the disposal point Ld via the rising point Lu and are disposed of in the disposal box 40.

[0065] 9B shows the positional relationship between the conveyor belt 85 ascending along the ascending range Ru and the outer wall portion 813. As described above, the conveyor belt 85 ascends while being supported parallel to the Z direction between the pulleys 841 and 842. Therefore, the belt base material 851 is parallel to the Z direction, and the crosspiece 853 protrudes from the belt base material 851 toward the outer wall portion 813 on the upstream side in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. A gap wider than the thickness of the crosspiece 853 is provided between the belt base material 851 of the conveyor belt 85 and the outer wall portion 813. This forms a gap between the conveyor belt 85 and the outer wall portion 813.

[0066] 9C shows the positional relationship between the conveyor belt 85 moving horizontally from the pulley 843 toward the bearing 846 and the protruding frame 816. As described above, the conveyor belt 85 moving from the pulley 843 to the bearing 846 is supported horizontally while moving. Therefore, the belt base material 851 is horizontal, and the crosspiece 853 protrudes from the belt base material 851 toward the protruding frame 816 below. A gap wider than the thickness of the crosspiece 853 is provided between the belt base material 851 of the conveyor belt 85 and the protruding frame 816. This forms a gap between the conveyor belt 85 and the protruding frame 816.

[0067] 9D shows the positional relationship between the partition wall 815 and the conveyor belt 85 descending along the descending range Rd. As described above, the conveyor belt 85 ascends while being supported parallel to the Z direction between the bearing 846 and the pulley 841. Therefore, the belt substrate 851 is parallel to the Z direction, and the crosspiece 853 protrudes from the belt substrate 851 toward the partition wall 815 on the downstream side in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. A gap wider than the thickness of the crosspiece 853 is provided between the belt substrate 851 of the conveyor belt 85 and the partition wall 815. This forms a gap between the conveyor belt 85 and the partition wall 815.

[0068] FIG. 10 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of a configuration related to a protruding frame. As shown in FIG. 10 , the crosspiece 853 is shorter than the belt substrate 851 in the width direction Dy and is located at the center of the belt substrate 851. Therefore, both end portions 851a of the belt substrate 851 protrude from the crosspiece 853 to both sides in the width direction Dy. Thus, the belt substrate 851 has two end portions 851a that are offset from the crosspiece 853. Two bearings 846 are disposed corresponding to the two end portions 851a, and each bearing 846 contacts the outer peripheral surface 852 of the corresponding end portion 851a. As a result, the crosspiece 853 is located between the two bearings 846 in the width direction Dy, and a gap is provided between each bearing 846 and the crosspiece 853.

[0069] Furthermore, a protruding wall 818 faces the area of the end 851a of the belt substrate 851 between the bearing 846 and the crosspiece 853 from below in the Z direction. The protruding wall 818 is attached to the upper surface of the protruding frame 816 and protrudes upward (i.e., toward the conveyor belt 85) from the upper surface of the protruding frame 816. A gap is provided between the protruding wall 818 and the end 851a in the Z direction. Furthermore, in the width direction Dy, the protruding wall 818 faces the crosspiece 853 with a gap therebetween. The protruding wall 818 is provided at each of the end portions 851a at both ends in the width direction Dy, and the crosspiece 853 is located between the two protruding walls 818. In this configuration, the protruding wall 818 can prevent tape scraps Td that move above the protruding frame 816 along with the conveyor belt 85 toward the transit point Lt from falling in the width direction Dy.

[0070] In the embodiment configured as described above, tape scraps Td discharged from the mounters 13 are collected at a tape collection point Lc (discard collection point). Then, the transport of the tape scraps Td (discarded material) from the tape collection point Lc to an ascending point Lu above the disposal box 40 is performed by the conveyor belt 85. In particular, the tape scraps Td are transported to the upper side of the disposal box 40 by lifting the conveyor belt 85 along an ascending range Ru that is provided parallel to the Z direction (vertical direction). Therefore, the transport of the tape scraps Td to the upper side of the disposal box 40 can be realized in a compact manner in the tape scrap transport direction Dx (horizontal direction). As a result, the transport of the tape scraps Td collected from the mounters 13 to the disposal box 40 can be realized in a compact manner.

[0071] A housing 81 is also provided to house the tape scrap transport unit 83 (ejected material transport unit). The housing 81 has an ascending transport chamber 822 (wall portion) extending in the Z direction from the tape collection point Lc to a height equal to or higher than the upper end 401 of the disposal box 40. The ascending transport chamber 822 has two partitions 815 (wall members) and an outer wall 813 (wall member) spaced apart in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. In a plan view from the Z direction, the pulleys 841 and 842 (ascending drive units) and the transport belt 85 transported along the ascending range Ru by the pulleys 841 and 842 are disposed between the partitions 815 and the outer wall 813 in the tape scrap transport direction Dx. In this configuration, the partitions 815 and the outer wall 813 can prevent tape scraps Td transported by the transport belt 85 to the upper side of the disposal box 40 from falling from the transport belt 85 and scattering in the tape scrap transport direction Dx.

[0072] The housing 81 also has a bottom plate 811 (bottom plate portion) provided at the lower end of the ascending transport chamber 822, and the bottom plate 811 has a groove 817 provided in correspondence with the tape gathering point Lc. With this configuration, the tape scraps Td gathered at the tape gathering point Lc are collected in the groove 817, and the groove 817 can be prevented from scattering.

[0073] Furthermore, a pulley 841 that supports the conveyor belt 85 is provided facing the groove 817 from above. The groove 817 has an arc shape. A gap is provided between the conveyor belt 85 supported by the pulley 841 and the groove 817. With this configuration, it is possible to prevent the conveyor belt 85 from coming into contact with the groove 817 and becoming worn.

[0074] A pulley 843 and a bearing 846 (a return drive unit) are provided to move the conveyor belt 85 from the disposal point Ld to the intermediate point Lt. Furthermore, a bearing 846 and a pulley 841 (a lowering drive unit) are provided to lower the conveyor belt 85 along an ascending range Ru, which is provided parallel to the Z direction between the intermediate point Lt and the tape gathering point Lc. The outer wall 813 (the wall member on the other side) faces, at a distance, the conveyor belt 85 raised by the pulleys 841 and 842. The partition wall 815 (the wall member on one side) faces, at a distance, the conveyor belt 85 lowered by the bearing 846 and the pulley 841. Furthermore, the protruding frame 816 (a protruding member) faces, at a distance, the conveyor belt 85 moved by the pulley 843 and the bearing 846. In this configuration, the conveyor belt 85 can be prevented from coming into contact with the outer wall portion 813, the partition wall portion 815, or the protruding frame 816 and becoming worn.

[0075] The conveyor belt 85 has an endless belt base material 851 and a plurality of crosspieces 853 arranged in the direction in which the conveyor belt 85 is conveyed (belt conveyance direction). The crosspieces 853 extend in a width direction Dy (belt width direction) perpendicular to the belt conveyance direction and protrude outward from the belt base material 851. With this configuration, the crosspieces 853 can reliably convey the tape scraps Td.

[0076] Furthermore, protruding walls 818 (side walls) are provided on both sides of the crosspiece 853 in the width direction Dy. In this configuration, the protruding walls 818 prevent the tape scraps Td from moving sideways away from the crosspiece 853, thereby ensuring reliable transport of the tape scraps Td.

[0077] In addition, in the width direction Dy, the belt substrate 851 has end portions 851a (substrate end portions) protruding from both sides of the crosspiece 853. In contrast, the protruding wall 818 is provided at a position offset from the crosspiece 853 in the width direction Dy (in other words, at a position facing the end portion 851a). With this configuration, the protruding wall 818 can be appropriately positioned with respect to the conveyor belt 85 having the crosspiece 853.

[0078] Furthermore, in the width direction Dy, a gap is provided between the crosspiece 853 and the protruding wall 818. With this configuration, it is possible to prevent the crosspiece 853 from coming into contact with the protruding wall 818 and becoming worn.
