Abstract

The present invention relates to sealing systems with automatic compensation for thermal expansion. In this context, the present invention provides a sealing system with automatic compensation for thermal expansion for a rotary cylindrical reactor (2) comprising (a) a first automatic compensation portion (8) positioned at a first end of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2), the first automatic compensation portion (8) comprising (a.1) a guide ring (80) fixed to the supporting structure of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2), (a.2) an axially sliding receiving ring (84) adjacent to the guide ring (80), the axially sliding receiving ring (84) being capable of sliding relative to the guide ring (80) in the axial direction, and (a.3) an annular first bearing race (22) fixed to the shell of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2) and resting on a first supporting roller (32), the first bearing race (22) being capable of sliding in the radial direction relative to the axially sliding receiving ring (84) and rigidly connected thereto in the axial direction of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2); and (b) a second automatic compensation portion (9) positioned at a second end of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2), opposite the first, the second automatic compensation portion (9) comprising (b.1) a receiving ring (94) fixed to the supporting structure of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2) and (b.2) an annular second bearing race (23) fixed to the shell of the rotary cylindrical reactor (2) and resting on a second supporting roller (33), the second bearing race (23) being capable of sliding rotatably relative to the fixed receiving ring (94) and capable of sliding in the axial direction relative thereto.
