Model of herbivore dentition for educational purposes

Abstract

A herbivore dentition model for interactive educational use comprises a rigid panel shaped to represent the mouth of a plant-eating animal, featuring a simplified anatomical arrangement of incisors, premolars, molars, a horny pad, and a diastema. Permanent magnets are embedded into the panel at each respective tooth position and the horny pad. The model further includes metallised name tags corresponding to each anatomical feature, adapted for removable magnetic attachment to the embedded magnets. The visual aid allows users to interactively place and remove labels without damaging the panel to understand spatial dental arrangements and plant-processing adaptations in herbivores.
