Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a sealed drum, and more specifically, to a sealed drum improved by installing a rim reinforcement ring on the rim portions protruding from the top and bottom of the drum so that the rim reinforcement ring can be securely grasped by a clamp equipped on a transport equipment and transported stably. Background Technology

[0003] General drums are steel cylinders used to store liquids or various powders, and they are classified into closed drums and open drums.

[0005] In this case, the sealed drum features a sealed structure in which an upper and lower plate are joined to the upper and lower surfaces of a body manufactured by rolling a thin steel plate into a cylindrical shape. At this time, a fold is formed along the edges of the upper and lower plates, and the outer surface of this fold is fixed to the inner surface of the body through welding to form a single integrated unit. Additionally, an opening is formed on the upper plate for pouring or extracting contents, and this opening is configured to be opened and closed via a stopper.

[0007] These sealed drums are transported using transport equipment equipped with grippers. That is, they are transported while gripping the rim protruding from the top or bottom of the sealed drum using grippers.

[0009] However, conventional sealed drums had a problem in that the thickness of the rim portion protruding from the top or bottom was thin or rolled into a circular shape, so when grabbed with tongs, it would detach and separate due to the weight of the drum itself. Prior art literature

Specific details for implementing the invention

[0031] The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings.

[0033] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, the sealed drum according to the present invention comprises a cylindrical body (10), an upper plate (20), a lower plate (30), and a rim reinforcing ring (100).

[0035] First, the cylindrical body (10) is manufactured by rolling a thin steel plate into a cylindrical shape, and is configured to reinforce rigidity by forming a convex rim (12) in the middle section using a known corrugator.

[0037] Next, the top plate (20) is attached to the top of the cylindrical body (10) to seal the upper surface of the cylindrical body (10). The top plate (20) is formed in the shape of a disc, and a bent portion (B) is formed by bending upward along the edge. The outer surface of the bent portion (B) and the inner surface of the cylindrical body (10) are fixed by welding while in contact with each other, so that the edge portion (E) protrudes upward and is integrally joined. An opening for injecting or extracting contents is formed in a part of the upper surface, and the opening is provided to be opened and closed through a stopper (22).

[0039] Next, the bottom plate (30) is joined to the bottom of the cylindrical body (10) to seal the lower surface of the cylindrical body (10). The bottom plate (30) is formed in the shape of a disc, and a bent portion (B) is formed by bending downward along the edge. The outer surface of the bent portion (B) and the inner surface of the cylindrical body (10) are in contact with each other, and are fixed by welding so that the edge portion (E) protrudes downward and is integrally joined.

[0041] Next, the rim reinforcement ring (100) is coupled to the rim portion (E) of the drum and is formed in the shape of a hollow circular ring with sufficient space to form an insertion space (102) inside, and has a structure in which an assembly groove (140) is formed around the inside so that it can be fitted and coupled to the rim portion (E).

[0043] In particular, the present invention is characterized by a structure of a rim reinforcement ring (100), wherein the rim reinforcement ring (100) is composed of an inner vertical section (110) formed vertically on the inner side based on an assembly groove (140), a lower horizontal section (120) formed horizontally on the lower side, and a connecting section (130) that roundly connects the inner vertical section (110) and the lower horizontal section (120).

[0045] Accordingly, the inner vertical section (110) is installed by welding the end of the inner vertical section (110) so that it is in close contact with the upper plate (20) or lower plate (30) while assembled by fitting it into the rim section (E) of the cylindrical body (10) through the assembly groove (140), and the lower horizontal section (120) is installed so that it is in close contact with the outer surface of the cylindrical body (10). Then, when the rim reinforcing ring (100) is gripped by a gripper (not shown) equipped on the transport equipment, the end of the gripper is in close contact with the inner vertical section (110) and the lower horizontal section (120), allowing it to be gripped stably.

[0047] In addition, as shown in FIG. 6, the present invention is preferably configured such that the total weight of the drum is 32.5 kg by additionally inserting a weight adjustment piece (P1) into the internal insertion space (102) of the rim reinforcement ring (100). That is, after measuring the weight of the cylindrical body (10), the top plate (20), and the bottom plate (30) while they are fixed by welding, and the weight of the rim reinforcement ring (100), the weight adjustment piece (P1) is added so that the total weight of the drum becomes 32.5 kg (the weight of the drum represents one embodiment and may be determined according to the size of the drum). Then, the weight adjustment piece (P1) is inserted into the insertion space (102), and the rim reinforcement ring (100) is joined to the rim portion (E) by welding. In this way, if the weight of the drum is maintained constant through the weight adjustment piece (P1), the amount of contents stored inside the drum can be maintained constant.

[0049] At this time, when the weight adjustment piece (P1) is inserted into the insertion space (102) of the rim reinforcement ring (100), noise may be produced due to friction between metals when the drum moves. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 8, it is preferable to attach a hemispherical noise-preventing member (200) made of sponge material to both ends of the weight adjustment piece (P1). Additionally, since the noise-preventing member (200) may be separated when the weight adjustment piece (P1) moves, a means to prevent separation is provided. That is, the means to prevent separation consists of a rubber band insertion groove (202) formed on the outer surface of the noise-preventing member (200) and a rubber band (210) that is inserted into and secured in the rubber band insertion groove (202) of the noise-preventing member (200) attached to both ends. Thus, because the rubber band (210) holds the noise-preventing member (200) attached to both ends, it does not separate and maintains the state of being attached to the weight adjustment piece (P1).

[0051] In addition, the present invention preferably forms an auxiliary insertion space (104) to additionally insert an auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) inside the rim reinforcement ring (100). That is, when assembling the rim reinforcement ring (100) to the rim portion (E) through the assembly groove (140), the inner vertical section (110) and the bent portion (B) of the upper plate (20) or lower plate (30) may be assembled in close contact as shown in FIG. 7, but preferably, as shown in FIG. 5, the inner vertical section (110) and the bent portion (B) are assembled with a gap between them so that an auxiliary insertion space (104) is formed between them.

[0053] Then, as shown in FIG. 6, when the auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) is inserted into the auxiliary insertion space (104), the auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) is supported between the inner vertical section (110) and the bent section (B), and has the advantage of being installed without shaking. That is, when the auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) is in close contact with the inner side of the bent section (B) and the rim reinforcement ring (100) is coupled to the rim section (E) through the assembly groove (140), the auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) is installed between the inner vertical section (110) and the bent section (B).

[0055] If a structure is added to insert an auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) into the auxiliary insertion space (104) in this way, when the weight of the drum is significantly less than 32.5 kg, the total weight can be adjusted by inserting the auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) together with the weight adjustment piece (P1) into the auxiliary insertion space (104) of the rim reinforcement ring (100), and when the weight of the drum is slightly less than 32.5 kg, the weight adjustment piece (P1) or the auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) can be selectively inserted.

[0057] In the sealed drum according to the present invention configured as described above, large-sized rim reinforcement rings are installed on the rim portions formed at the top and bottom, so the rim reinforcement rings can be securely grasped by a clamp equipped on the transport equipment and transported stably.

[0059] In addition, since an inner vertical section and a lower horizontal section are formed on the inner and lower sides of the edge reinforcing ring (100), when the clamp is grasped, the surface that the clamp touches is firmly attached to the inner vertical section and the lower horizontal section, so that it can be firmly grasped so that it does not slip out when gripped.

[0061] In addition, the present invention forms an insertion space (102) inside the rim reinforcement ring (100), so that when installing the rim reinforcement ring (100), a weight adjustment piece (P1) can be inserted into the insertion space (102) as needed, thereby allowing the overall weight of the drum to be maintained at a constant level. Of course, if an auxiliary weight adjustment piece (P2) is additionally inserted into the auxiliary insertion space (104), a wider range of weight error can be compensated for.

[0063] As described above, although the present invention has been illustrated and explained in relation to specific embodiments, it will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and changes are possible without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the claims.
