Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a microbial culture device, a microbial wastewater treatment assembly including the same, a microbial culture method, and a method for manufacturing a microbial wastewater treatment assembly including the same. Background Technology
[0002] Sewage treatment plants are facilities that treat the inflow of domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, and rainwater to minimize environmental impact and recover water and resources. Sewage treatment plants remove or treat pollutants through various stages and processes. These stages include a pretreatment phase that removes large solids and suspended solids to reduce the burden on subsequent processes; a primary treatment phase that removes suspended solids and some organic matter through sedimentation; a secondary treatment phase that removes pollutants such as organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus using microorganisms; a tertiary treatment phase that removes fine particles, residual organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus; and a sludge treatment phase that reduces sludge volume, decomposes organic matter, and recovers energy. Due to climate change and urbanization, the volume of sewage inflow is increasing, raising the need to expand sewage treatment capacity. When sewage is treated in a sewage treatment plant, water pollution is prevented and ecosystems are protected, thereby safeguarding the environment. Furthermore, the removal of pathogenic microorganisms prevents waterborne diseases, which can have a positive impact on public health. In addition, biogas can be produced from the wastewater treatment plant and utilized as energy, the separated solids can be used as fertilizer or soil conditioner, and the separated treated water can be used for industrial and landscaping purposes.
[0003] Aeration energy refers to the energy consumed to supply the oxygen required for microorganisms to decompose organic matter during the wastewater treatment process. In wastewater treatment plants, the aeration process plays a critical role in the biological treatment process and accounts for 50% to 60% of total operating energy consumption. The higher the concentration of organic matter and nitrogen in the wastewater, the greater the oxygen required, and the amount of oxygen supplied needs to be regulated according to the activity rate of microorganisms and the treatment capacity. Since aeration energy accounts for a significant portion of wastewater treatment plant operating costs, it is necessary to reduce it through efficient operation.
[0004] In wastewater treatment plants, microorganisms are the primary agents responsible for decomposing organic matter and nutrients contained in wastewater, enabling the process to operate stably despite fluctuations in wastewater inflow and pollutant concentrations that vary with time and season. To ensure a stable supply of microorganisms to the treatment plant, necessary conditions, such as appropriate nutrients, temperature, and oxygen, must be maintained. A problem arises when the conditions required for microbial culture are not met, as microorganisms may not be properly supplied to the plant. Consequently, when the supply of microorganisms becomes unstable, the efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant may decrease. The problem to be solved
[0005] The embodiments of the present invention were invented against the background described above and aim to provide a microbial wastewater treatment assembly in which nitrogen-removing microorganisms are stably supplied while aeration energy is reduced. means of solving the problem

[0064] Referring again to FIGS. 4 and FIGS. 5, in the step of providing a microbial culture device (S10), a microbial culture device (10) may be provided. In the step of providing a microbial culture device (S10), a microbial culture device (10) in which nitrogen-removing microorganisms provided to a bioreactor (700) are cultured may be provided. The step of providing a microbial culture device (S10) may include a step of providing an input device (S100), a step of providing a stirring reaction device (S200), and a step of providing an outflow device (S300).
[0065] Referring again to FIG. 6, in the step of providing an input device (S100), an input device (100) may be provided. In the step of providing an input device (S100), the input device (100) may be provided in multiple numbers. The step of providing an input device (S100) may include an acetate input device providing step (S110) and a nitric acid input device providing step (S120).
[0066] In the acetate injection device provision step (S110), an acetate injection device (110) may be provided. Acetate may be supplied to the stirring reaction device (200) through the acetate injection device (110) provided in the acetate injection device provision step (S110). The acetate supplied to the stirring reaction device (200) may supply carbon to nitrogen-removing microorganisms.
[0067] In the nitric acid injection device provision step (S120), a nitric acid injection device (120) may be provided. Nitric acid may be supplied to the stirring reaction device (200) through the nitric acid injection device (120) provided in the nitric acid injection device provision step (S120). The nitric acid supplied to the stirring reaction device (200) may supply nitrogen to nitrogen-removing microorganisms.
[0068] Referring again to FIG. 7, nitrogen-removing microorganisms can be cultured in the microbial culture step (S20). The microbial culture step (S20) may include a sampling step (S400), a batch culture step (S500), and a semi-batch culture step (S600).
[0069] In the sampling step (S400), excess sludge may be sampled. The excess sludge sampled in the sampling step (S400) may contain nitrogen-removing microorganisms. The amount of excess sludge sampled in the sampling step (S400) may be greater than 1 / 6 and less than 1 / 3 of the amount of cultured sludge. In other words, in the sampling step (S400), an amount greater than 1 / 6 and less than 1 / 3 of the amount of sludge to be cultured may be sampled.
[0070] In the batch culture step (S500), sludge can be cultured under batch culture conditions. Batch culture conditions may include batch stirring conditions and batch temperature conditions. Batch stirring conditions may be 100 rpm or more and 150 rpm or less, and batch temperature conditions may be 20°C or more and 30°C or less. In the batch culture step (S500), chemical oxygen demand (COD), ammonium concentration, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentration, and ammonia (NH3) concentration may be measured. In the batch culture step (S500), after the sludge settles, the supernatant may be sampled, and the chemical oxygen demand, ammonium concentration, nitrogen dioxide concentration, and ammonia concentration of the supernatant may be measured.
[0071] Referring again to FIGS. 8 and 9, in the semi-batch culture step (S600), sludge can be cultured under various conditions. In the semi-batch culture step (S600), sludge can be cultured under preset semi-batch culture conditions. The semi-batch culture step (S600) can be performed at a preset semi-batch culture temperature and a preset semi-batch culture acidity. For example, the preset semi-batch culture temperature may be 25°C or higher and 28°C or lower, and the semi-batch culture acidity may be pH 6.7 or higher and pH 7.2 or lower. In the semi-batch culture step (S600), sludge can be cultured through multiple stages. The semi-batch culture step (S600) may include a plurality of semi-batch culture unit stages (S610).
[0072] In the semi-batch culture unit stage (S610), sludge can be cultured under various conditions. Multiple semi-batch culture unit stages (S610) may be provided. The conversion rate of nitrate (NO3) to nitrogen dioxide and the C / N ratio may be measured in multiple semi-batch culture unit stages (S610). Here, the C / N ratio refers to the ratio of carbon atoms to nitrogen atoms. The C / N ratio may be adjusted differently in multiple semi-batch culture unit stages (S610). For example, in multiple semi-batch culture unit stages (S610), the C / N ratio may be adjusted to increase by 0.1 in the range of 2.3 or more and 3.4 or less. In multiple semi-batch culture unit stages (S610), the C / N ratio at which the conversion rate of nitrate to nitrogen dioxide is highest may be measured. One of the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610) may have a different concentration of one or more of acetate and nitric acid compared to another of the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610). One of the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610) may have a different input amount of one or more of acetate and nitric acid compared to another of the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610). When the concentration and input amount of one or more of acetate and nitric acid differ between one of the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610) and another of the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610), the C / N ratio may be adjusted differently in the multiple half-batch culture unit stages (S610). The half-batch culture unit step (S610) may include a first half-batch culture unit step (S610a), a second half-batch culture unit step (S610b) performed after the first half-batch culture unit step (S610a), and a third half-batch culture unit step (S610c) performed after the second half-batch culture unit step (S610b). However, the concept of the present invention is not limited thereto, and the half-batch culture unit step (S610) may include the first half-batch culture unit step (S610a) to the 360th half-batch culture unit step. The semi-batch culture unit stage (S610) may include an input stage (S611), a stirring reaction stage (S612), a sedimentation stage (S613), and an outflow stage (S614).
[0073] In the input step (S611), one or more of acetate and nitric acid may be input into the microbial culture device (10). The input step (S611) may be performed when the concentration of ammonium measured in the batch culture step (S500) is less than or equal to the preset starting ammonium concentration in the input step, and the concentration of nitrogen dioxide measured in the batch culture step (S500) is less than or equal to the preset starting nitrogen dioxide concentration in the input step. For example, the input step (S611) may be performed for 11 minutes. In the input step (S611), stirred acetate may be input in an amount equal to the preset acetate input amount, and stirred nitric acid may be input in an amount equal to the preset nitric acid input amount. For example, the preset starting nitrogen dioxide concentration in the input step may be 1 mg / l or less.
[0074] In the stirring reaction step (S612), acetate and nitric acid are stirred in the microbial culture device (10), and nitrogen-removing microorganisms can grow. In the stirring reaction step (S612), acetate and nitric acid can be stirred at a speed of 100 rpm or more and 150 rpm or less. The time during which the stirring reaction step (S612) is performed may be longer than the time during which the input step (S611) is performed. For example, the time during which the stirring reaction step (S512) is performed may be longer than three times the time during which the input step (S511) is performed and shorter than four times the time during which the input step (S511) is performed. As a more detailed example, the stirring reaction step (S612) may be performed for 38 minutes.
[0075] In the sedimentation step (S613), nitrogen-removing microorganisms may be settled at the bottom of the microorganism culture device (10). The time during which the sedimentation step (S513) is performed may be longer than the time during which the stirring reaction step (S512) is performed. For example, the time during which the sedimentation step (S513) is performed may be longer than the time during which the stirring reaction step (S512) is performed, and may be shorter than twice the time during which the stirring reaction step (S512) is performed. As a more detailed example, the sedimentation step (S613) may be performed for 60 minutes.
[0076] In the discharge step (S614), the supernatant, which is a substrate excluding acetate and nitric acid used for the growth of nitrogen-removing microorganisms, may be discharged outside the microorganism culture device (10). The supernatant discharged in the discharge step (S614) may be a liquid portion that is not nitrogen-removing microorganisms precipitated inside the microorganism culture device (10).

For example, the amount of oxygen provided in the ammonia oxidation step (S1011) may be more than 2 times and less than 4 times the amount of oxygen provided in the nitrite oxidation step (S1012). As a more detailed example, the amount of oxygen provided in the ammonia oxidation step (S1011) may be 3 times the amount of oxygen provided in the nitrite oxidation step (S1012). In the ammonia oxidation step (S1011), 1 mole of ammonium can react with 37.5% oxygen to be converted into 0.5 moles of nitrite. In this specification, % may be the amount when the amount of oxygen and carbon used in each step corresponding to each step of the present invention in the previously disclosed nitrogen removal process, the A2O (anaerobic-anoxic-oxic) process, is assumed to be 100%.
[0084] In the nitrite oxidation step (S1012), the nitrite and oxygen generated in the ammonia oxidation step (S1011) can be converted into nitrate. In the nitrite oxidation step (S1012), 0.5 moles of nitrite generated in the ammonia oxidation step (S1011) can react with 12.5% of oxygen to be converted into 0.5 moles of nitrate.
[0085] In the denitrification step (S1013), nitrate and carbon generated in the nitrous oxide oxidation step (S1012) can be converted into nitrite. [0086] In the second nitrogen removal step (S1020), nitrite converted in the first nitrogen removal step (S1010) and ammonium that was not converted into nitrite in the first nitrogen removal step (S1010) can be converted into nitrogen. In the second nitrogen removal step (S1020), anaerobic ammonia oxidation (ANNAMMOX) may occur. [0094] Referring again to FIG. 16, the nitrification efficiency (NTR, Nitrate-to-Nitrite transformation ratio) can be calculated in the microbial culture step (S20). In other words, the ratio of nitrate to nitrite conversion in the microbial culture step (S20) can be calculated. The nitrification efficiency can be calculated by measuring the amounts of nitrogen dioxide and nitrate before and after the microbial culture step (S20). The nitrification efficiency may be the value obtained by dividing the difference between the amount of nitrogen dioxide discharged from the microbial culture device (10) after the microbial culture step (S20) and the amount of nitrogen dioxide supplied to the microbial culture device (10) before the microbial culture step (S20) by the difference between the amount of nitrate discharged from the microbial culture device (10) after the microbial culture step (S20) and the amount of nitrate supplied to the microbial culture device (10) before the microbial culture step (S20). When the C / N ratio is maintained at 2.5 during the microbial culture step (S20), the nitrification efficiency can be measured to be highest.
