Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an active air flap device for a vehicle. Background Technology
[0002] The Active Air Flap (AAF) device is installed inside the front grille of the vehicle (or attached to the grille) and opens and closes the outside air inlet of the grille according to the condition of the vehicle. Specifically, the Active Air Flap closes the outside air inlet to reduce air resistance and improve fuel efficiency when the vehicle is driving at high speeds, and opens the outside air inlet to lower the temperature inside the overheated engine compartment when the vehicle is driving at low speeds.
[0003] Generally, active air flap devices are configured to be applied to the left and right sides relative to the vehicle's width, respectively, to actuate the left and right flaps independently; accordingly, actuators are individually provided for the active air flaps on both the left and right sides.
[0004] In the case of active air flap devices, the actuator accounts for the largest portion of the cost. To ensure smooth rotation of the flap, a high-torque actuator of approximately 60 kgf·cm or more is required. However, since such high-torque actuators are expensive, there is a problem of increased overall costs. Therefore, there is a need to improve this. The problem to be solved
[0005] The problem that the present invention aims to solve is to provide an active air flap device for vehicles that can improve performance by generating torque that is further enhanced compared to existing devices, while reducing the cost of the active air flap device by using a linear actuator, which is relatively cheaper than a high-torque actuator.
[0006] The problems of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. means of solving the problem

[0014] The center rod may be configured so that the end portion connected to the connecting link moves in an arc-shaped trajectory between a first point in front and a second point in rear relative to a vertical line passing through the driving link.
[0015] The above-mentioned drive link is placed on and supported by a support provided in the housing part, and a cover covering the drive link may be attached to the support.
[0016] The above housing part further includes a connecting bracket connecting the first housing and the second housing, and the linear actuator and the link part can be installed on the connecting bracket. Effects of the invention

The first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) may have a structure that is symmetrical to each other.
[0037] The first flap (200A) may be rotatably connected to the first housing (110) via the first shaft (230). The first flap (200A) may include a first main panel (210) and a pair of first side panels (220) extending rearward from both sides of the first main panel (210).
[0038] The first main panel (210) may include a first lower part (211) that is positioned to face forward in the first air passage (101) and extends upwardly inclined from the first horizontal frame (111) on the lower side, and a first upper part (212) that extends approximately vertically from the first lower part (211) toward the first horizontal frame (111) on the upper side.
[0039] A pair of first side panels (220) are provided with a first shaft (230), and a first flap (200A) can be rotatably connected to a first housing (110) through the first shaft (230).
[0040] The first shaft (230) may be provided in a structure that penetrates a pair of first side panels (220), and both ends of the first shaft (230) may extend to the outside of each of the pair of first side panels (220) and be connected to the first housing (110).
[0041] A first connecting rod (240) connected to a link portion (400) may be provided on the first shaft (230). The first connecting rod (240) may extend in a structure orthogonal to the first shaft (230) from the outer surface of one of a pair of first side panels (220). In an embodiment, the first connecting rod (240) may be positioned in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the first shaft (230) from the outer surface of the first vertical frame (112) to which the connecting bracket (130) is connected.
[0042] The first connecting rod (240) is configured to convert the linear motion of the sliding rod (310) of the linear actuator (300) into rotational motion with the first shaft (230) as the axis, in conjunction with the link portion (400) to be described later. That is, as the sliding rod (310) moves linearly in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, it rotates around the first shaft (230) as the axis, thereby rotating the first shaft (230). At this time, the lower end of the first connecting rod (240) is connected to the first shaft (230) and its position is fixed, while the upper end connected to the link portion (400) is configured to move while tracing an arc-shaped trajectory.
[0043] The second flap (200B) may be rotatably connected to the second housing (120) via the second shaft (270). The second flap (200B) may include a second main panel (250) and a pair of second side panels (260) extending rearward from both sides of the second main panel (250).
[0044] The second main panel (250) may include a second lower part (251) that is positioned to face forward in the second air passage (102) and extends upwardly inclined from the second horizontal frame (121) on the lower side, and a second upper part (252) that extends approximately vertically from the second lower part (251) toward the second horizontal frame (121) on the upper side.
[0045] A pair of second side panels (260) are provided with a second shaft (270), and a second flap (200B) can be rotatably connected to a second housing (120) through the second shaft (270).
[0046] The second shaft (270) may be provided in a structure that penetrates a pair of second side panels (260), and both ends of the second shaft (270) may extend to the outside of each of the pair of second side panels (260) and be connected to the second housing (120).
[0047] A second connecting rod (280) connected to a link portion (400) may be provided on the second shaft (270). The second connecting rod (280) may extend in a structure orthogonal to the second shaft (270) from the outer surface of one of the pair of second side panels (260). In an embodiment, the second connecting rod (280) may be positioned in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the second shaft (270) from the outer surface of the second vertical frame (122) to which the connecting bracket (130) is connected.
[0048] The second connecting rod (280) is configured to convert the linear motion of the sliding rod (310) of the linear actuator (300) into rotational motion with the second shaft (270) as the axis, in conjunction with the link portion (400) to be described later. That is, as the sliding rod (310) moves linearly in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, it rotates around the second shaft (270) as the axis, thereby rotating the second shaft (270). At this time, the lower end of the second connecting rod (280) is connected to the second shaft (270) and its position is fixed, while the upper end connected to the link portion (400) is configured to move while tracing an arc-shaped trajectory.
[0049] As shown in FIG. 9, with the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) closing the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102), air can be configured to flow along the first lower part (211) and the second lower part (251) to the first upper part (212) and the second upper part (252) so as to reduce resistance.
[0050] Additionally, with the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) opening the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102), the first lower part (211) and the second lower part (251) can be arranged approximately parallel to the direction of air movement so as to minimize the resistance of the air flowing along the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102). Accordingly, air in the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102) can flow smoothly into the vehicle interior with the influence of the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) minimized.
[0051] The linear actuator (300) may include a sliding rod (310) that moves linearly in the forward and backward directions of the vehicle, which is different from the extension directions of the first shaft (230) and the second shaft (270).
[0052] The linear actuator (300) generates a driving force to rotate the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B). The driving force generated by the linear actuator (300) is transmitted to a link portion (400) connected to a sliding rod (310), and through the link portion (400), is transmitted to the first connecting rod (240) and the second connecting rod (280), respectively, to rotate the first shaft (230) and the second shaft (270).
[0053] The linear actuator (300) is fixed to the vertical part (132) of the connecting bracket (130), and the sliding rod (310) passes through the vertical part (132) and extends to the upper part of the horizontal part (131) to move back and forth. The end of the sliding rod (310) can be connected to the link part (400).
[0054] The link portion (400) may be configured to transmit the driving force of the linear actuator (300) to the flap portion (200) to rotate the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B).
[0055] The link section (400) may include a driving link (410), a connecting link (420), a first side link (430), and a second side link (440).
[0056] The drive link (410) can be rotatably installed in the housing portion (100). Specifically, the drive link (410) is placed and supported on a support (133) provided on the horizontal part (131) of the connecting bracket (130), and a cover (134) covering the drive link (410) can be attached to the support (133). The cover (134) can restrain the drive link (410) so that it does not detach from the support (133).
[0057] The drive link (410) may be positioned perpendicular to the sliding rod (310) between the first housing (110) and the second housing (120). A pair of side rods (411) may be provided at each end of the longitudinal direction of the drive link (410), and a center rod (412) may be provided between the pair of side rods (411).
[0058] A pair of side rods (411) and a center rod (412) may be provided in a structure that extends in a direction different from the longitudinal direction of the drive link (410). In an embodiment, a pair of side rods (411) may extend parallel to each other in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the drive link (410), and a center rod (412) may extend parallel to a pair of side rods (411).
[0059] One end of the connecting link (420) is rotatably connected to the center rod (412), and the other end can be rotatably connected to the sliding rod (310). That is, the driving link (410) and the linear actuator (300) are connected to each other via the connecting link (420). Accordingly, the driving force of the linear actuator (300) is transmitted to the driving link (410) through the connecting link (420), and causes the driving link (410) to rotate.
[0060] When the sliding rod (310) moves back and forth, the center rod (412) is configured to move in an arc-shaped trajectory between a first point (P1) in front and a second point (P2) in the rear, based on the vertical line (L) through which the end portion connected to the connecting link (420) passes the driving link (410). At this time, the connecting link (420) can ensure that the center rod (412) moves in an arc-shaped trajectory.
[0061] In detail, the upper end of the center rod (412) is located at the same level at the first point (P1) and the second point (P2), and is located at a higher level than the first point (P1) and the second point (P2) on the vertical line (L) which is midway between the first point (P1) and the second point (P2). Thus, the height difference (G) that occurs as the center rod (412) rotates can be absorbed by the connecting link (420) rotating and varying between a horizontal state and a tilting state.
[0062] The first side link (430) and the second side link (440) can each connect the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) to the drive link (410). One end of the first side link (430) can be rotatably connected to a side rod (411) on one side, and the other end can be rotatably connected to a first connecting rod (240). Additionally, one end of the second side link (440) can be rotatably connected to a side rod (411) on the other side, and the other end can be rotatably connected to a second connecting rod (280).
[0063] The first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) are arranged to close the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102) when the center rod (412) is positioned at the first point (P1), and to open the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102) when the center rod (412) is positioned at the second point (P2).
[0064] The first side link (430) may have a first connecting hole (431) that is coupled with a connecting projection (241) of the first connecting rod (240). The first connecting hole (431) is provided with a wedge-shaped supporting projection (4310) having a chamfered surface (4310a), so that the first connecting hole (431) may have a structure in which the diameter becomes smaller as it goes from the two sides of the first side link (430) toward the inner center.
[0065] The second side link (440) may be provided with a second connecting hole (441) that is coupled with a connecting projection (281) of the second connecting rod (280). The second connecting hole (441) may be provided with a wedge-shaped support projection (4410) having a chamfered surface (4410a), so that the second connecting hole (441) may have a structure in which the diameter becomes smaller as it goes from the two sides of the second side link (440) toward the inner center.
[0066] Since the design of the front of the vehicle is curved, the operating angle of the first flap (200A) and the second flap (200B) may not be perpendicular to the operating direction of the sliding rod (310). For example, the first shaft (230) and the second shaft (270) are each arranged in a structure that is bent about 3° toward the side rear of the vehicle. Therefore, the angle (α) between the extension direction of the first shaft (230) and the second shaft (270) and the operating direction of the sliding rod (310) is 93°, not 90°.
[0067] The first connecting hole (431) and the second connecting hole (441) are each provided with a wedge-shaped support projection (4310, 4410) having a chamfered surface (4310a, 4410a) inside, and the connecting projections (241, 281) of the first connecting rod (240) and the second connecting rod (280) are configured to make line contact when coupled to the first connecting hole (431) and the second connecting hole (441), respectively, thereby allowing this 3° difference in operating angle to be absorbed. Accordingly, the first shaft (230) and the second shaft (270) can operate smoothly and open and close the first air passage (101) and the second air passage (102) even if they are not perpendicular to the first side link (430) and the second side link (440), respectively.
[0068] As such, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the cost can be reduced by using a linear actuator (300), which is relatively cheaper than a conventional high-torque actuator, for the actuator used to drive the rotation of the flap portion (200).
[0069] In particular, conventional high-torque actuators require a high-torque actuator with a large torque (e.g., a self-torque of 60 kgf·cm or more) because they must be directly connected to the rotation axis of the flap to transmit rotational force, which has become the biggest factor in increasing costs. In contrast, in this embodiment, a linear actuator (300) with a relatively low and small force is used (e.g., 50 kgf), and the torque required to drive the flap part (200) can be obtained (250 kgf·cm) by adjusting the lengths (e.g., 5 cm) of the first connecting rod and the second connecting rod. In this case, in addition to the effect of cost reduction, there is an advantage of obtaining a higher torque than that of a conventional high-torque actuator.
[0070] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to embodiments thereof, those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and changes can be made to the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as described in the following claims. Furthermore, differences related to such modifications and changes should be interpreted as being included within the scope of the present invention as defined in the appended claims.
