Description

Technology Field

[0001] The following description relates to SBFD (Sub-Band Full Duplex) based communication, specifically to a method for setting flexible SBFD symbols and performing communication based thereon, and an apparatus for doing so. Background Technology

[0002] Various technologies such as LTE, LTE-Advanced, and WiFi are used in wireless communication systems, and 5G is also included here.

[0003] Figure 1 shows the structure of a system for 5G communication.

[0004] Referring to FIG. 1, the NG-RAN (Next Generation - Radio Access Network) may include a base station (20) that provides user plane and control plane protocol termination to the UE (10). For example, the base station (20) may include a gNB (next generation-Node B) and / or an eNB (evolved-Node B). For example, the UE (10) may be fixed or mobile and may be referred to by other terms such as terminal, MS (Mobile Station), UT (User Terminal), SS (Subscriber Station), MT (Mobile Terminal), or Wireless Device. For example, the base station may be a fixed station communicating with the UE (10) and may be referred to by other terms such as BTS (Base Transceiver System) or Access Point.

[0005] The example in FIG. 1 illustrates a case including only gNB. Base stations (20) can be connected to each other via Xn interfaces. Base stations (20) can be connected to a 5th generation core network (5G Core Network: 5GC) via NG interfaces. More specifically, base stations (20) can be connected to an access and mobility management function (AMF) (30) via an NG-C interface and to a user plane function (UPF) (30) via an NG-U interface.

[0007] Meanwhile, new service types such as XR (Extended Reality), AI-based services, and self-driving cars are emerging in 5G. These services are characterized by dynamic traffic in both DL and UL directions, and require low latency for packet transmission. In 5G services, traffic load can increase explosively to support these various new use cases.

[0008] On the other hand, existing semi-static or dynamic TDD UL / DL configurations may be constrained by transmission time delays and interference issues between operators. Existing FDD methods may have limitations in terms of efficient frequency resource utilization in the DL / UL direction. Therefore, the introduction of full-duplex (FD) operation within a single carrier is being discussed to achieve low latency and efficient resource utilization in NR. The problem to be solved

[0009] In order to solve the problem described above, one aspect of the present invention proposes a Sub-Band Full Duplex (SBFD) based communication method applicable to 5G or subsequent next-generation mobile communication systems.

[0010] The technology proposed below is assumed to be applicable not only to current 5G systems but also to 6G and subsequent mobile communication systems; therefore, although the term 'SBFD' used in 5G may be referred to by other terms related to FD, the term 5G will be used for the following explanation for convenience.

[0011] In one aspect of the present invention, a method and apparatus for performing communication more flexibly by utilizing one or more of a first type symbol including only a DL subband, a second type symbol including only a UL subband, or a third type symbol including both DL and UL subbands, are proposed for a network to set FD-related symbols (SBFD symbols) to a UE.

[0012] In addition, according to the embodiment, we intend to define a method for performing communication without distinguishing between FD-related symbols (SBFD symbols) and non-FD-related symbols (Non-SBFD symbols) and propose signaling for this purpose.

[0013] The problems to be solved by the present invention are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art to which the present invention belongs from the description below. means of solving the problem

[0014] In one aspect of the present invention for solving the problem described above, a communication method of a UE is proposed in which a UE performs communication with a network in a mobile communication system, the UE receives TDD (Time Division Duplexing) UL (Uplink)-DL (Downlink) pattern setting information from the network; receives Full Duplex (FD) related setting information based on the TDD UL-DL pattern information; and performs communication with the network according to the FD related setting information, wherein the FD related setting information includes setting information for one or more of a first type symbol including only a DL subband, a second type symbol including only a UL subband, or a third type symbol including both a DL and a UL subband.

[0015] The above FD-related setting information can set the first type symbol in the UL section according to the TDD UL-DL pattern information, or set the second type symbol in the DL section according to the TDD UL-DL pattern information.

[0016] In addition, the above FD-related setting information can set the above third type symbol in a variable section according to the above TDD UL-DL pattern information.

[0017] The frequency band excluding the DL subband in the first type symbol, the frequency band excluding the UL subband in the second type symbol, and the frequency band excluding the DL and UL subbands in the third type symbol can be operated as a band based on the TDD UL-DL pattern information or a band based on the scheduling of the network.

[0018] It is preferable that the above UE communicates with the network without distinguishing between FD symbols corresponding to one or more of the above first type symbol, the above second type symbol, or the above third type symbol, and non-FD symbols excluding the FD symbols.

[0019] This can be performed in a manner that additionally includes transmitting a UL signal to the network through the UL subband of the second type symbol; and receiving a DL signal corresponding to the UL signal through the DL subband of the first type symbol or the third type symbol, or through the DL band of the non-FD symbol.

[0020] In addition, it may be performed in a manner that additionally includes receiving a DL signal from the network through the DL subband of the first type symbol; and transmitting a UL signal corresponding to the DL signal through the UL subband of the second type symbol or the third type symbol, or through the UL band of the non-FD symbol.

[0021] The above FD-related configuration information is received as a combination of one or more of DCI (Downlink Control Information) or MAC (Medium Access Control) CE (Control Element), and communication with the network can be performed based on the FD-related configuration information from a point in time after a predetermined offset after receiving the above FD-related configuration information.

[0022] In addition, the above FD-related setting information may correspond to information that enables or disables one or more of the first type symbol, the second type symbol, or the third type symbol set through RRC (Radio Resource Control) signaling, using a combination of one or more of DCI or MAC CE.

[0023] In addition, if the first time-frequency resource scheduled from the network includes a resource other than the second time-frequency resource according to the FD-related setting information, it may operate in either a first mode that communicates with the network only within the range of the second time-frequency resource, or a second mode that communicates with the network within the range of the first time-frequency resource.

[0024] At this time, the UE may additionally receive configuration information from the network indicating either the first mode or the second mode.

[0025] The above FD-related symbols may include SBFD (Sub-Band Full Duplex) symbols, but the present invention is not limited to these terms.

[0026] Meanwhile, in another aspect of the present invention, a communication method of a network in a mobile communication system is proposed, wherein the network performs communication with a user device (UE), the method comprises transmitting TDD (Time Division Duplexing) UL (Uplink)-DL (Downlink) pattern setting information to the UE; transmitting full duplex (FD) related setting information based on the TDD UL-DL pattern information; and performing communication with the UE according to the FD related setting information, wherein the FD related setting information includes setting information for one or more of a first type symbol including only a DL subband, a second type symbol including only a UL subband, or a third type symbol including both a DL and a UL subband.

[0027] In addition, in another aspect of the present invention, a user device (UE) that communicates with a network in a mobile communication system comprises: at least one processor; and at least one computer memory that can be operably connected to the at least one processor and stores instructions that cause the at least one processor to perform operations when executed, wherein the operations include receiving TDD (Time Division Duplexing) UL (Uplink)-DL (Downlink) pattern setting information from the network; receiving Full Duplex (FD) related setting information based on the TDD UL-DL pattern information; and communicating with the network according to the FD related setting information, wherein the FD related setting information includes setting information for one or more of a first type symbol including only a DL subband, a second type symbol including only a UL subband, or a third type symbol including both a DL and a UL subband.

[0028] In addition, in another aspect of the present invention, a network for communicating with a user device (UE) in a mobile communication system is proposed, comprising: at least one processor; and at least one computer memory that can be operably connected to the at least one processor and stores instructions that cause the at least one processor to perform operations when executed, wherein the operations include transmitting TDD (Time Division Duplexing) UL (Uplink)-DL (Downlink) pattern setting information to the UE; transmitting Full Duplex (FD) related setting information based on the TDD UL-DL pattern information; and communicating with the UE according to the FD related setting information, wherein the FD related setting information includes setting information for one or more of a first type symbol including only a DL subband, a second type symbol including only a UL subband, or a third type symbol including both a DL and a UL subband. Effects of the invention

[0029] According to the embodiments of the present invention as described above, one or more of the first type symbol, second type symbol, or third type symbol described above can be set, and communication can be performed more flexibly by utilizing them.

[0030] In addition, according to the embodiment, communication can be performed without distinguishing between FD-related symbols (SBFD symbols) and non-FD-related symbols (Non-SBFD symbols), thereby minimizing delay.

[0031] In addition, according to the embodiment, the communication environment can be reflected more flexibly through RRC signaling and settings via DCI / MAC CE.

[0032] The effects obtainable from the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0034] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the invention. However, the present invention may be embodied in various different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. Furthermore, in order to clearly explain the present invention in the drawings, parts unrelated to the explanation have been omitted, and similar parts throughout the specification are denoted by similar reference numerals.

[0035] Throughout the specification, when a part is described as "including" a certain component, this means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may include additional components.

[0037] As described above, one aspect of the present invention proposes a method for setting flexible SBFD symbols and performing communication based thereon. To this end, the FD scheme being discussed in 5G will first be explained in detail.

[0038] Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating how to perform FD operation in 5G.

[0039] Referring to FIG. 2, the method of applying FD operation in the intra-carrier is illustrated. Specifically, the FD operation may be considered as the SBFD (Sub-Band Full Duplex) method illustrated in FIG. 2 (a) and the SSFD (Spectrum-Sharing Full Duplex) method illustrated in FIG. 2 (b).

[0040] In the case of SBFD, transmission and reception between DL and UL can be performed using different frequency resources on the same carrier. That is, DL and UL can have different frequency resources for the same time resource. In the case of SSFD, transmission and reception between DL and UL are performed using the same frequency resource or overlapping frequency resources on the same carrier. That is, DL and UL can be assigned the same or overlapping frequency resources for the same time resource.

[0041] In the case of SBFD, considering the non-overlapping features that distinguish it from SSFD, it may be referred to as 'Subband-Wise Full Duplex' or 'Subband non-overlapping Full Duplex'.

[0043] Figures 3 and 4 are diagrams for explaining the comparison between SBFD and SSFD during FD operation in 5G.

[0044] First, SBFD can be considered in FIG. 3 (a) and FIG. 4 (a). Specifically, referring to FIG. 3 (a), the sub-band area of DL and the sub-band area of UL may not overlap each other. In this case, a guard band may exist between the sub-band area of DL and the sub-band area of UL. Alternatively, referring to FIG. 2 (a), SBFD operation may be performed based on the resource pattern of a cell or base station. For example, in the resource pattern, the HD (half-duplex) slot / symbol and the SBFD slot / symbol may be TDMed together.

[0045] Alternatively, examples such as those shown in FIG. 3 (b) and FIG. 4 (b) may be considered for SSFD. Specifically, referring to FIG. 3 (b), the sub-band area of DL and the sub-band area of UL may overlap each other. Alternatively, referring to FIG. 4 (b), SSFD operation may be performed based on the resource pattern of a cell or base station. For example, in the resource pattern, the HD (half-duplex) slot / symbol and the SSFD slot / symbol may be TDMed together.

[0047] These FD operations can be combined with existing half-duplex (HD) operations. For example, in existing half-duplex-based TDD operations, only some time resources may be used for FD operations. On the time resources where FD operations are performed, SBFD or SSFD operations may be performed.

[0048] In the case of the FD operation described above, the FD operation can be performed from both the perspective of the gNB and the perspective of the UE. For example, both the gNB and the UE may simultaneously perform DL / UL transmission and reception using the same or different frequency resources within the same time resource. Alternatively, only the gNB may perform the FD operation (within the same time resource), while the UE may perform the HD operation. The gNB may simultaneously perform DL and UL transmission and reception using the same or different frequency resources within the same time resource, but the UE may only perform DL reception or UL transmission within a specific time resource. In this case, the gNB may perform an FD operation in a manner that performs DL transmission and UL reception for different UEs at the same time point (or within the same time resource).

[0049] As described above, in a situation where a network such as a gNB performs FD operations, whether a UE can perform FD operations may be related to the performance of the UE. In this way, if a UE is aware of and capable of performing the network's FD operations, that UE may be referred to as an 'FD-aware UE'.

[0050] In addition, among the SBFD and SSFD described above, one embodiment of the present invention proposes an FD operation using the SBFD method. The SBFD method supports HDs that do not overlap with each other at the sub-band level, and thus has the advantage of being able to operate flexibly from the perspective of operation of not only UEs aware of SBFD but also legacy UEs unaware of the SBFD situation.

[0052] Below, we will explain how to perform communication by setting variable FD related symbols (SBFD symbols) against this background.

[0053] FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating a method for a UE and a network to communicate based on variable SBFD symbol / subband settings according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0054] First, the UE (510) can receive TDD (Time Division Duplexing) UL (Uplink)-DL (Downlink) pattern setting information from the network (520) (S510).

[0055] According to 5G standards, TDD UL-DL pattern information can be configured statically or semi-statically via System Information Block (SIB) 1 and / or Radio Resource Control (RRC) signals, and can be set in a cell-specific manner and / or a user-specific manner. Such TDD UL-DL pattern information will be described below in relation to Fig. 6.

[0056] Additionally, the UE (510) can receive FD-related configuration information (SBFD configuration information) based on the TDD UL-DL pattern information from the network (520) (S520).

[0057] For existing SBFD recognition, SBFD symbols configured DL and UL subbands within the corresponding symbol area, and when transmitting and receiving UL and DL, SBFD symbols and non-SBFD (hereinafter abbreviated as 'nSBFD') symbols were distinguished to configure and operate valid symbols, which resulted in resource constraints. That is, UL / DL transmission and reception in SBFD symbols and UL / DL transmission and reception in nSBFD symbols were operated separately, and in this case, when the resources used for UL / DL transmission and reception spanned both nSBFD symbols and SBFD symbols, there was a setting for processing valid symbols.

[0058] However, when operating in an integrated manner without distinguishing between SBFD symbols and nSBFD symbols, the complexity of processing for valid symbols and the efficiency of resource utilization can be increased, and in one embodiment of the present invention, to support this, the operation of variable SBFD operation is proposed.

[0059] To this end, in this embodiment, it is proposed that the FD-related setting information (SBFD setting information) includes setting information for one or more of a first type symbol including only a DL subband, a second type symbol including only a UL subband, or a third type symbol including both DL and UL subbands. These three types are examples, and specific types may be excluded or new types may be additionally defined and used.

[0060] A network (e.g., gNB) can be configured and operated in a cell-specific, UE-specific, BWP-specific, TDD-UL-DL-pattern cycle-specific, slot-specific manner to use only one or more specific types of variable SBFD symbol types.

[0061] It is possible to allow, configure, and operate only the use of specific variable SBFD symbol types per DL, variable, and UL slot on the TDD UL / DL pattern cycle set by the network (gNB).

[0062] Configuration information for each of these types may include frequency resource information for subbands for each type. Alternatively, information on frequency resources for subbands for UL / DL transmission and reception for each type may be separately configured and operated in a cell-specific manner. Alternatively, configuration for common UL and DL subbands may be configured in a cell-specific manner.

[0063] Configuration by such a network (gNB) can be set using one or more combinations of upper-layer signaling such as RRC or lower-layer signaling such as MAC-CE / DCI.

[0064] Based on these SBFD settings, the UE (510) can communicate with the network (520) (S530).

[0066] FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating the TDD UL-DL pattern setting according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0067] Figure 6 shows an example of a TDD UL-DL pattern, where "D" represents a DL slot / symbol, "D / F" represents a DL and variable symbol, "F" represents a variable slot / symbol, "F / U" represents a variable and UL symbol, and "U" represents a UL slot / symbol.

[0068] As described above, this TDD UL-DL pattern information can be configured statically or semi-statically via SIB 1 and / or RRC signals, and can be set in a cell-specific manner and / or a user-specific manner. The top of FIG. 6 illustrates a pattern (610) set via tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon in a cell-specific manner, the middle of FIG. 6 illustrates an additional pattern (620) set via tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated in a user-specific manner, and the bottom of FIG. 6 illustrates the resulting pattern (630) accordingly.

[0069] In addition, TDD UL-DL patterns may be dynamically configured in groups or in a UE-specific manner in the form of slot formats by RRC and DCI (e.g., SFI (Slot Format Indication)).

[0071] FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating the SBFD symbol setting considering the TDD UL-DL pattern according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0072] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is assumed that the time-frequency position of the SBFD subband within the TDD carrier can be set in a cell-specific manner for an RRC connected UE. Such cell-specific SBFD symbol configuration information can be determined based on the TDD UL-DL pattern as shown in FIG. 7, and in one embodiment of the present invention, it is proposed that the SBFD symbols can be assigned from the starting symbol of the first D slot to the last F symbol in the F / U slot (710).

[0073] The D / F slot represents a slot structure in which a DL symbol and a variable symbol are arranged as shown in 720 of FIG. 7, and the F / U slot may represent a slot structure in which a variable symbol and a UL symbol are arranged as shown in 730 of FIG. 7.

[0075] FIGS. 8 and 9 are drawings for specifically explaining the concept of an activated BWP according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0076] In 5G communication systems, the concept of performing UL / DL transmission and reception using a specific BWP is utilized rather than the UE using the entire carrier bandwidth (810). FIG. 8 illustrates an example where three BWPs (820a, 820b, 820c) are configured within the entire carrier bandwidth (810). As described above, up to four BWPs may be configured for a specific UE, but the active BWP utilized by the UE at a specific time may be limited to one of these.

[0077] As shown in Fig. 8, each BWP can be defined by its relationship with a standard resource block (PRB (Physical Resource Block)), and such a standard PRB can be defined as a CRB (Common Resource Block; 830), and in some cases, it may be referred to as Point A.

[0078] Each BWP can be defined by a frequency distance separated from the CRB (830) as described above, and in FIG. 8, the first BWP is a first offset (N) from the CRB (830). start BWP, 0 It starts at a position spaced by ), and the first size (N size BWP, 0 It can be defined as having ), and the second BWP is a second offset (N) from the CRB (830). start BWP, 1 It starts at a position spaced by ), and the second size (N size BWP, 1 It can be defined as having ), and the 3rd BWP is a 3rd offset (N) from the CRB (830). start BWP, 2 It starts at a position spaced by ), and the third size (N size BWP, 2It can be defined as having ).

[0079] Meanwhile, these BWPs can be configured in various forms, as exemplified in Fig. 9.

[0080] 910 of FIG. 9 illustrates an example in which BWP 1 is defined within the entire bandwidth and BWP 2 is set for a UE communicating through limited energy consumption within BWP 1; 920 of FIG. 9 illustrates an example in which two discontinuous BWPs are set within the entire bandwidth; 930 of FIG. 9 illustrates a case in which bandwidth for another unknown service is utilized between two discontinuous BWPs; and 940 of FIG. 9 illustrates an example in which a BWP for 5G communication is set within the entire bandwidth and another bandwidth is utilized for services not yet defined, such as next-generation communication.

[0082] Based on the above explanation, the operation method of the UE and network based on variable SBFD settings is described in detail below.

[0084] Variable SBFD setting method

[0085] FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating the form in which a variable SBFD symbol is set within a TDD UL-DP pattern according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0086] FIG. 10 is illustrated assuming a single TDD-UL-DL pattern that is cell-specifically set. However, if two (or more) patterns are set, the same method may be applied to two (or more) consecutive patterns.

[0087] The FD-related setting information (SBFD setting information) described in the embodiment of FIG. 5 can be set to the UL section (1030) according to the TDD UL-DL pattern information, as shown in FIG. 10, and the second type symbol (1040) can be set to the DL section (1010) according to the TDD UL-DL pattern information.

[0088] Additionally, for a series of consecutive variable slots / symbol intervals (1020), it is possible to operate by assigning a specific type of SBFD symbol among the types available in the variable interval to a series of consecutive symbols. FIG. 10 illustrates an example in which a third type symbol (1050) is set in the variable interval (1020) according to TDD UL-DL pattern information.

[0089] This has the advantage of efficiently setting and operating only the opposite transmit / receive operations in each section where the UL or DL operation is determined by the existing TDD UL / DL pattern cycle.

[0090] At this time, when a second type SBFD symbol (1040) including a UL subband is additionally defined in a DL section (1010) determined by a TDD UL / DL pattern period, the second type SBFD symbol setting information may include setting information for the UL subband and setting information for the guard band, and when a first type SBFD symbol (1060) including a DL subband is additionally defined in a UL section (1030) determined by a TDD UL / DL pattern period, the first type SBFD symbol setting information may include setting information for the DL subband and setting information for the guard band.

[0091] Additionally, when a third type SBFD symbol (1050) including DL and UL subbands is additionally specified in a variable interval (1020) determined by the TDD UL / DL pattern cycle, the third type SBFD symbol setting information may include setting information for the DL subband and setting information for the UL subband, and in this case, setting information for the guard band may be omitted.

[0092] It is assumed that the variable SBFD symbol described above in FIG. 10 operates as a band based on the TDD UL-DL pattern or the scheduling of the network (gNB) in areas other than the subband corresponding to the type SBFD symbol, and this is explained in detail with reference to FIG. 11.

[0093] Figure 11 is a diagram to further explain the concept of the variable SBFD symbol introduced in Figure 10.

[0094] As illustrated in FIG. 11, in the case of the first type SBFD symbol (1060), the remaining band excluding the corresponding DL subband (1110) among the entire band (1120) can be operated as a band determined by the existing TDD UL / DL pattern (i.e., UL band) or a UL or DL band determined by the scheduling of the network (gNB).

[0095] In addition, for the second type SBFD symbol (1040), the remaining band excluding the UL subband can be operated as a band determined by the existing TDD UL / DL pattern or as a UL or DL band determined by the scheduling of the network (gNB).

[0096] Likewise, for the third type SBFD symbol (1050), the remaining band excluding the UL / DL subband can be operated as a band determined by the existing TDD UL / DL pattern or as a UL or DL band determined by the scheduling of the network (gNB).

[0098] FIG. 12 is a diagram illustrating a communication method using SBFD / nSBFD symbols according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0099] In the case where the variable SBFD symbol setting described above is present in relation to FIG. 10, a UE according to one embodiment of the present invention proposes to communicate with a network without distinguishing between SBFD symbols and nSBFD symbols corresponding to one or more of the first type symbol, the second type symbol, or the third type symbol.

[0100] That is, unlike the method of transmitting and receiving UL and DL in each SBFD symbol and nSBFD symbol in SBFD operation in 3GPP Rel. 19, this embodiment proposes operating to enable UL and DL transmission and reception without distinguishing between SBFD symbols and nSBFD symbols.

[0101] Figure 12 illustrates case 1 of the four examples of this method.

[0102] Case 1: In the operation of an SBFD-aware UE, a UL signal can be transmitted (S1210) within the UL subband of a second type SBFD symbol (1040). The reception of a DL signal corresponding to this UL signal transmission may be received through the DL subband of a first type SBFD symbol (S1220-3) or through the DL subband of a third type SBFD symbol (S1220-2), as shown in FIG. 12. However, in one embodiment of the present invention, it may be received through the DL-enabled BWP of an nSBFD symbol as well as these SBFD symbols (S1220-1). Additionally, based on the concept described above in relation to FIG. 11, the reception of a DL signal corresponding to a UL signal may be performed through the remaining DL-enabled BWP, excluding the UL or DL subband of the SBFD symbol.

[0103] In Case 1 described above, the UL signal is a scheduling request signal via PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), and the corresponding DL signal may be PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) containing UL grant information, but this is an exemplary signal, and there may be various examples of the UE signal transmission and the reception of the corresponding DL signal.

[0105] We will examine other cases as well, just like Case 1 described above.

[0106] Case 2: In an SBFD-aware UE operation, UL transmission (e.g., CSI report via PUCCH or PUSCH) corresponding to DL reception (e.g., CSI request) within the DL subband of the first SBFD symbol may be performed in the UL subband of the second and third type SBFD symbols, or in the UL-enabled BWP of the nSBFD symbol, or in the remaining UL-enabled BWP excluding the UL or DL subband of the SBFD symbol.

[0108] Case 3: In SBFD-aware UE operation, UL transmission (e.g., CSI report via PUCCH or PUSCH) corresponding to DL reception (e.g., CSI request) in a DL-enabled BWP excluding the UL or DL subband of the DL and variable slot nSBFD symbols or SBFD symbols can be performed in a UL-enabled BWP excluding the UL or DL subband of the 2nd type 2 and 3rd type SBFD symbols or nSBFD symbols, or in a UL-enabled BWP excluding the UL or DL subband of the SBFD symbols.

[0110] Case 4: In SBFD-aware UE operation, DL reception (e.g., PDCCH containing UL grant information) corresponding to a UL transmission (e.g., scheduling request via PUCCH) signal in a UL-enabled BWP excluding the UL and variable slot nSBFD symbol or UL or DL subband of SBFD symbol can be performed in a DL-enabled BWP excluding the UL or DL subband of SBFD symbol, or in a DL-enabled BWP excluding the UL or DL subband of SBFD symbol.

[0112] Signaling method

[0113] Variable SBFD symbol assignment can be directed via DCI or MAC-CE or a combination thereof. In one aspect of the present invention, it is proposed to operate in one of the following five ways or a variation or combination thereof.

[0115] Method 1

[0116] Variable SBFD symbols can be indicated using DCI, MAC-CE, or a combination thereof. DCI can be defined in a new format, or a modified version of an existing format may be used. When using an existing format, it may be preferable to indicate using a DCI that does not contain scheduling information.

[0117] Variable SBFD symbols indicated by DCI or MAC-CE may be valid from a specific time offset after the symbol or slot that received the indication information. The time offset may be equal to or greater than 0, and the unit may be a symbol or a slot.

[0118] Alternatively, variable SBFD symbols indicated by DCI or MAC-CE may be valid from a TDD-UL-DL pattern cycle that begins after the TDD-UL-DL pattern cycle containing the symbol or slot that received the corresponding indication information.

[0119] Alternatively, the configured variable SBFD symbols may be operated to be valid only within the TDD-UL-DL pattern cycle that includes the above valid time point.

[0120] Alternatively, it can be operated to be valid for a period corresponding to N times the TDD-UL-DL pattern cycle.

[0121] The value of the above validity period setting can be set and operated by upper-level signaling such as RRC. Alternatively, it can be operated by being included within a DCI or MAC-CE containing instruction information for variable SBFD symbols.

[0122] The slot to which the start / end symbol of the dynamic SBFD symbol range belongs and the index value within that slot may also be used.

[0124] In FIG. 10, the start / end symbols of the variable SBFD symbol segment within each segment may be indicated by a time offset based on the start and end points of the DL segment (1010), variable segment (1020), and UL segment (1030).

[0125] In the above method, each variable SBFD symbol start symbol is set based on the start time of each DL section (1010), variable section (1020), and UL section (1030), and the end symbol of the dynamic SBFD symbol section may be indicated through a time offset in units of symbols or slots based on the start symbol of each variable SBFD symbol section.

[0126] The above variable SBFD symbol intervals can be operated to have zero, one, or multiple variable SBFD symbol intervals in each DL interval (1010), variable interval (1020), and UL interval (1030).

[0127] The variable SBFD symbol intervals set in the DL interval (1010), variable interval (1020), and UL interval (1030) may indicate the current variable SBFD symbol intervals with a time offset in units of symbols or slots from the preceding variable SBFD symbol interval.

[0129] The settings of the above variable SBFD symbol intervals can be indicated by one or more combinations of MAC-CE and DCI. To indicate these lower-layer signaling methods, some information may be pre-set by upper-layer signaling such as RRC. For example, settings for configurable variable SBFD symbol intervals and their number, and settings for the interval of time offset values or their minimum or maximum values, can be pre-set through RRC signaling.

[0131] Method 2

[0132] Variable SBFD symbols are configured using an instruction method such as Method 1, but the configuration information can be configured using higher-level signaling such as RRC. The SBFD resource configuration information can be operated in a cell-specific or UE-specific manner. The configured variable SBFD symbols can be enabled or disabled by DCI or MAC-CE or a combination thereof.

[0133] When variable SBFD symbols are configured with RRC, signal reception quality or interference measurements can be performed for specific resource areas for Cross Link Interference (CLI) handling, thereby enabling efficient CLI handling.

[0134] Variable SBFD symbols enabled by DCI or MAC-CE may be valid from a specific time offset after the symbol or slot that received the corresponding instruction information. The time offset may be equal to or greater than 0, and the unit may be a symbol or a slot.

[0135] Alternatively, variable SBFD symbols indicated by DCI or MAC-CE may be valid from a TDD-UL-DL pattern cycle that begins after the TDD-UL-DL pattern cycle containing the symbol or slot that received the corresponding indication information.

[0136] The configured variable SBFD symbols may be operated to be valid only within the TDD-UL-DL pattern period that includes the above-mentioned valid time. Alternatively, they may be operated to be valid for a period corresponding to N times the TDD-UL-DL pattern period. The value of this validity period may be set and operated by higher-level signaling such as RRC. Alternatively, it may be operated by being included within a DCI or MAC-CE containing instruction information for the variable SBFD symbols.

[0138] As an example of method 2, when the second type SBFD symbol interval (1040), the third type SBFD symbol interval (1050), and the first type SBFD symbol interval (1060) are set to RRC as shown in FIG. 10, the activation or deactivation of the entire set area can be indicated through a bit field within DCI or MAC-CE. That is, it indicates an on / off type instruction, and the instruction can be made through a 1-bit field.

[0139] Alternatively, based on Fig. 10, activation of one or more SBFD symbol intervals can be indicated based on the setting information as shown in [Table 1] below.

[0141] [Table 1]

[0142]

[0144] Method 3

[0145] Variable SBFD symbols are configured using an instruction method similar to Method 1, wherein the configuration information can be configured by higher-layer signaling such as RRC. Consequently, the configuration information can be viewed as configuration information for time and frequency resources available for SBFD operation. The SBFD resource configuration information can be operated in a cell-specific or UE-specific manner. The network (gNB) can dynamically allocate UL and DL resources for SBFD operation using scheduling DCI within the above resource area.

[0146] The reason for setting available time / frequency resources for SBFD operation with RRC is that the set RS measurements for that area can measure the reception quality and interference of the signal, thereby enabling efficient CLI handling.

[0147] The network (gNB) transmits a DCI containing a UL resource allocation (UL grant) to an SBFD-aware UE via a PDCCH, and if the resource area (first time-frequency resource area) indicated by the UL grant is included within a time and frequency resource area (second time-frequency resource area) available for SBFD operation set in a DL slot or variable slot, the SBFD-aware UE can perform UL transmission in that area.

[0148] If such UL resources (first time-frequency resource area) fall outside the time and frequency resource area (second time-frequency resource area) available for SBFD operation, the UE may operate in a first mode of transmitting UL using only resources within the time and frequency resource area (second time-frequency resource area) available for SBFD operation.

[0149] Alternatively, it may operate in a second mode that transmits UL using all of the resource area (first time-frequency resource area) indicated by the PDCCH.

[0150] Alternatively, one of the two modes mentioned above can be configured to operate using a higher-level signaling such as RRC, and operated based on this.

[0152] The network (gNB) transmits a DCI containing a downlink resource allocation (DL grant) via PDCCH to the SBFD-aware UE, and if the resource area (first time-frequency resource area) indicated by the DL grant is included within the time and frequency resource area (second time-frequency resource area) available for SBFD operation set in the UL slot or variable slot, the UE can perform DL reception in that area.

[0153] If such DL resources (first time-frequency resource area) fall outside the time and frequency resource area (second time-frequency resource area) available for SBFD operation, the SBFD-aware UE can operate in a first mode to receive DL using only resources within the time and frequency resource area (second time-frequency resource area) available for SBFD operation.

[0154] Alternatively, it may operate in a second mode of receiving DL by utilizing all resource areas (second time-frequency resource areas) indicated by the PDCCH.

[0155] Alternatively, one of the two modes mentioned above can be configured to operate using a higher-level signaling such as RRC, and operated based on this.

[0157] The network (gNB) can be operated via PDCCH to schedule the execution of legacy operations (nSBFD operations) within the time and frequency resource ranges available for SBFD operations. This allows for the maximization of resource efficiency. When such operations are applied, the network (gNB) may use a 1-bit field within the DCI to explicitly inform the UE whether the DCI instructs an SBFD operation or a legacy operation, thereby indicating which operation the scheduling is for. Alternatively, to inform the UE of instruction information regarding the operation, a specific RNTI may be defined, and the DCI may be scrambled and transmitted based on that RNTI. For example, a new RNTI, such as SBFD-RNTI, may be defined only in the case of an SBFD operation, and the DCI may be scrambled and transmitted using that RNTI. Upon receiving the DCI, the UE can distinguish whether the resource range allocated by the DCI is for an SBFD operation or a legacy operation.

[0158] Through this operation, it becomes possible to determine which of the UL power control parameters and set values, among the UL power control parameters and set values set as SBFD or non-SBFD respectively during UL power control, the UE should apply to perform power control.

[0160] Alternatively, the network (gNB) can be operated so that it cannot schedule legacy operations (nSBFD operations) within the time and frequency resource range available for SBFD operations via PDCCH. This allows for operation that minimizes signal interference and maximizes the efficiency of CLI handling.

[0161] In order to increase CLI handling efficiency in this method, the CORESET for PDCCH reception can be configured and operated to transmit only in areas excluding time and frequency resources available for variable SBFD operation. Alternatively, the time and frequency resources available for variable SBFD operation can be configured and operated so that there is always no resource interval overlapping with the location of the CORESET for PDCCH reception.

[0163] Method 4

[0164] Variable SBFD symbols are configured using an instruction method similar to Method 1, but the configuration information can be configured by higher-layer signaling such as RRC. Consequently, this configuration information can be viewed as configuration information for time and frequency resources available for SBFD operation. This SBFD resource configuration information can be operated in a cell-specific or UE-specific manner. When the network (gNB) receives a scheduling request (SR) via PUCCH from a UE with a specific SBFD while the above resource area is configured, it may activate SBFD symbols for UL transmission within a DL slot or a variable slot. Then, it transmits the corresponding UL grant information to the UE via DCI, and the UE can operate to enable UL transmission using the corresponding UL resources.

[0165] At this time, to indicate that the SR requesting via PUCCH is a request for SBFD symbol allocation for UL transmission within a DL slot or variable slot, or a request for UL resources for SBFD operation, the following method may be applied.

[0167] Method 4-1

[0168] The network (gNB) defines a new RRC parameter (e.g., SBFD-PUCCHResourceConfig) and can configure periodic or semi-static PUCCH resources through that RRC parameter. That RRC parameter can be viewed as a separate resource configuration message different from the PUCCH resource configuration used for SR.

[0169] Since the PUCCH resource is a PUCCH resource dedicated to requesting UL resources for performing SBFD operations, when a UL resource is requested through the PUCCH, the network (gNB) recognizes that it is a request for a resource in the SBFD area and can allocate a UL resource within a DL slot or a variable slot.

[0171] Method 4-2

[0172] Among the SchedulingRequestIds used when performing SR using the existing PUCCH, a dedicated SchedulingRequestId dedicated to requesting UL resources for SBFD operations can be defined and set for the UE. When the UE performs SR through the PUCCH resource associated with the dedicated SchedulingRequestId, the network (gNB) recognizes that it is a request for a resource in the SBFD area and can allocate UL resources within a DL slot or a variable slot.

[0174] Method 5

[0175] Method 3 is a method in which time and frequency resources available for SBFD operation are configured by upper-layer signaling such as RRC, and then UL and DL resources for SBFD operation are dynamically allocated using scheduling DCI. In contrast to this, Method 5 can be viewed as a method of operating to dynamically allocate UL and DL resources for SBFD operation using the network (gNB)'s scheduling DCI without configuration information from RRC.

[0176] The network (gNB) transmits a DCI containing a UL grant to the UE via PDCCH, and even if the resource area indicated by the UL grant is a DL slot or a variable slot, the SBFD-recognized UE can perform UL transmission in that area.

[0177] Additionally, the network (gNB) transmits a DCI containing a DL grant to the UE via PDCCH, and even though the resource area indicated by the DL grant is a UL slot or a variable slot, the SBFD-aware UE can perform DL reception in that area.

[0178] Additionally, the network (gNB) may use a 1-bit field within the DCI to explicitly inform the UE that the above DCI is directing an SBFD operation, thereby indicating that it is a scheduling for an SBFD operation. Alternatively, to inform the UE that it is a scheduling DCI for an SBFD operation, it may define a specific RNTI and scramble the DCI based on the RNTI and transmit it.

[0179] By the above-described operation, it becomes possible to determine which of the UL power control parameters and setting values, among the UL power control parameters and setting values set as SBFD or non-SBFD respectively during UL power control, the UE should apply to perform power control.

[0181] Meanwhile, the network (gNB) can perform an operation to measure the interference magnitude or signal quality of a specific resource area for CLI handling. In this case, in the conventional method, when the resource for SBFD is configured, the UE performs an operation to measure the quality of a specific RS or transmit a specific RS. However, since the resource for SBFD is not configured, the network (gNB) can instruct the SBFD-aware UE to measure the quality using DL RS for a specific resource area or to transmit UL RS in a specific resource area.

[0182] For the above operation, when the network (gNB) instructs the UE to report on CSI-RS, it may instruct the UE to measure DL RS based on a specific time / frequency resource. In this case, the specific time or frequency information may be configured by being included in the RRC configuration message CSI-ReportConfig or by being included in the resourceConfig configuration information associated with CSI-ReportConfig.

[0183] For the above operation, when the network (gNB) instructs the UE to transmit SRS, it may instruct it to transmit SRS at a specific time / frequency resource. In this case, the specific time or frequency information may be configured by including it in the resourceConfig configuration information, which is an RRC configuration message.

[0184] After the above settings for CSI-RS reception or SRS transmission are completed, the network (gNB) may use the DCI to instruct the semi-static CSI-RS and SRS transmission and reception operations. In the case of CSI-RS, the activation / deactivation of the above semi-static CSI-RS or SRS-related RRC settings may be instructed through the CSI request field within the DCI, and in the case of SRS, through the SRS request field.

[0185] To perform the above operations, operations such as transmitting SRS in the area configured as the DL slot / symbol and measuring CSI-RS in the area configured as the UL slot / symbol must be performed. Therefore, the network (gNB) may explicitly indicate within the DCI that the instruction for the operation is a instruction for supporting SBFD operations. To this end, a 1-bit field within the DCI may be used to indicate that it is an instruction for SBFD operations. Alternatively, a specific RNTI may be defined, and the DCI may be scrambled and transmitted based on that RNTI to indicate this.

[0186] Through the above operation, it becomes possible to determine which of the UL power control parameters and setting values, among the UL power control parameters and setting values set as SBFD or non-SBFD respectively during UL power control, the UE should apply to perform power control.
