Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a laundry device, and more specifically, to an automatic door opening and closing device for a laundry device and a laundry device in which the opening, closing, and locking operations of the door are automatically implemented for convenient use. Background Technology

[0002] A washing machine is a device that cleans laundry using detergent and water while the clothes remain inside a tub. Types include drum washing machines and cylindrical conventional washing machines. Drum washing machines feature a structure where the tub inside the main body is installed horizontally, and the door is positioned at the front of the main body. Due to this structure, the water inside the tub continuously pressurizes the door during the washing process. Particularly in the case of large drum washing machines installed in laundromats or dormitories, the large volume of the tub requires a large amount of water to fill, inevitably leading to increased water pressure on the door. Although a locking mechanism is installed on the door itself, there are cases where the lock fails to withstand the high water pressure, gradually deforms, and eventually loses its function.

[0003] Meanwhile, most conventional drum washing machines have manual doors. In other words, the user must open and close the door directly. However, in the case of industrial or large-scale drum washing machines, the doors are larger and heavier than those of household washing machines, so users may experience inconvenience during the process of opening and closing the door. Furthermore, in work environments where laundry tasks must be performed repeatedly, the process of opening and closing the door is cumbersome, and continuous manual operation can be a factor that increases worker fatigue.

[0004] There is a demand for a drum washing machine with a structure in which the door opening and closing process is performed automatically, and a strong locking state is maintained after the door is closed so that the door does not open even if internal pressure increases. Prior art literature

[0005] Registered Patent No. 10-1545467 (Published August 18, 2015) Registered Patent No. 10-1366110 (Published February 21, 2014) The problem to be solved

[0006] The present invention was created to resolve the above-mentioned problems and aims to provide an automatic door opening and closing device for a laundry machine and a laundry machine, wherein the opening and closing of the door are performed automatically, and the locked state is stably maintained even if the internal water pressure increases after the door is closed. means of solving the problem

[0007] The present invention, as a means of solving the problem to achieve the above objective, provides an automatic door opening and closing device for a laundry device, characterized by comprising: a rotating frame that is rotatably installed on the front of a laundry device for washing or drying laundry and is coupled with a door, and opens or closes the door through rotational movement; a door opening and closing unit that rotates the rotating frame in both directions; a locking unit that maintains the locked state of the door when the door is closed; and a control unit that controls the door opening and closing unit and the locking unit.

[0008] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the rotating frame comprises a rotating shaft portion capable of axial rotation around a vertical rotation axis while supported by a support bracket, and a door coupling portion integrally formed with the rotating shaft portion and coupled to the door, and the door opening / closing portion comprises a torque output module that rotates the rotation axis of the rotating shaft portion and a power transmission portion that transmits the rotational force of the torque output module to the rotating shaft portion, thereby providing an automatic door opening / closing device for a laundry device.

[0009] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the power transmission unit comprises a jaw coupling in which an input shaft connected to a torque output module and an output shaft connected to a rotating frame are connected to each other by a male and female tooth coupling to transmit power, thereby providing an automatic door opening and closing device for a washing machine.

[0010] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a locking pin is installed in the door coupling portion, and the locking unit comprises a latch supporter that provides a supporting force, a rotary latch that is rotatably supported by the latch supporter and engages the locking pin to restrain it when the door is closed, and a latch driving portion that operates the rotary latch, thereby providing an automatic door opening and closing device for a laundry device.

[0011] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the rotary latch comprises a rotation center portion rotatably supported by the latch supporter through a connecting pin, a rotation arm portion integrally formed with the rotation center portion and connected to the latch drive portion and receiving rotational force from the latch drive portion, and a hook portion connected to the rotation arm portion and having a locking groove that moves toward the locking pin side by the latch drive portion to restrain the locking pin or separate from the locking pin, thereby providing an automatic door opening and closing device for a laundry device.

[0012] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the locking unit comprises an actuator that operates by a control unit to rotate a rotary latch in both directions; and a rotary latch that rotates relative to one side of the washing machine body by the operation of the actuator, wherein as the rotary latch rotates relative to one side of the washing machine body, a pin-shaped locking pin extending in an outward direction of the rotational direction in which the door opens engages with the rotary latch to prevent detachment, thereby providing an automatic door opening and closing device for a washing machine.

[0013] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an automatic door opening and closing device for a laundry device is provided, characterized in that a rotary latch is rotated perpendicular to the direction of rotation of the door with respect to a locking pin extended in the direction of rotation of the door to lock the locking pin.

[0014] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a laundry device is provided that includes an automatic door opening and closing device for the laundry device. Effects of the invention

[0015] The present invention, as described above, enables automatic opening and closing of the door, thereby enhancing the convenience of using the washing machine. Furthermore, since the locked state is stably maintained even when internal water pressure rises after the door is closed, there is no problem of the door opening or water leakage.

[0016] Another advantage of the present invention is that it provides convenience of use by automatically opening the door of the washing machine without the user having to open it directly.

[0017] Another advantage of the present invention is that when the washing machine door is locked, the locking operation is perpendicular to the direction of rotation of the door, thereby allowing for ample installation space for the locking device and enabling the installation of a large locking force, which provides a stable door locking state. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0019] Hereinafter, one embodiment according to the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0020] FIG. 1 is a front view of a laundry device equipped with an automatic door opening and closing device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a drawing separately illustrating the rotating frame shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a configuration diagram for explaining the configuration and operation method of the door opening and closing part of FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the locking unit shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 5 to 7 are drawings for explaining the operation of the locking unit shown in FIG. 4.

[0021] As described above, the washing device (10), such as a drum washing machine, a cylindrical general washing machine, or a large dryer according to the present embodiment, includes a washing machine body (11), a door (13), and an automatic opening and closing device (20). In particular, the washing device (10) according to the present invention relates to a door of a drum-type washing machine that opens and closes laterally, and can be applied to a large washing machine capable of washing a large amount of laundry at once, such as in a factory or a kitchen. Additionally, the washing device (10) includes a device for washing laundry and a dryer for drying the washed laundry.

[0022] In a laundry washing device, the door is designed to remain securely locked even when a large volume of water suddenly rushes onto the door. Similarly, in the case of dryers, large-scale dryers dry a large volume of laundry at once, so the door is correspondingly large and heavy, making the process of opening, closing, or locking the door difficult and strenuous for the user. Therefore, in the case of large-scale laundry devices such as large washing machines and large dryers, the large door is opened and closed smoothly by an automatic opening and closing mechanism, allowing the user to conveniently use the laundry device without having to exert manual labor. This will be explained in detail through the description of each component below. The following description focuses primarily on so-called drum-type washing machines, where the door opens and closes laterally to load and unload laundry. However, if the configurations of each device in the present invention are applied and modified in terms of installation location, operating direction, size, or capacity, they can be applied to large drum-type washing machines, other general large cylindrical washing machines, and even large dryers, depending on the specific situation.

[0023] The washing machine body (11) of the washing machine (10) includes a washing tub (not shown) that contains laundry and water inside. The washing tub opens to the front of the body and is opened and closed by a door (13). When the door (13) is pulled, the washing tub opens to the front, and when the door is closed, the internal space of the body is sealed. The door (13) opens and closes the washing tub while separated from the washing machine body (11). That is, it is fixed to a rotating frame (21) to be described later, and performs an opening and closing operation by rotating around the rotation axis of the rotating frame (21).

[0024] Washing in the washing machine body (11) can be driven through the control unit (15) and the switch panel (17). The control unit (15) can output all control signals related to the operation of the washing machine (10). Additionally, the switch panel (17) is equipped with a plurality of switches (17a). Washing can be started or stopped through the switches (17a). Additionally, the switches (17a) may include an emergency stop switch.

[0025] Meanwhile, the automatic door opening / closing device (20) serves to automatically open or close the door (13). For example, under the control of the control unit (15) according to the washing process, the washing device (10) opens or closes and locks the door (13) on its own. In the case of conventional drum washing machines, an operator had to open and close the door, but this inconvenience is eliminated. In particular, when the door is closed, a strong locking state is maintained by the locking unit (40), so the door (13) is not pushed open by the water pressure inside the washing tub.

[0026] The automatic door opening and closing device (20) includes a rotating frame (21), a door opening and closing part (30), a locking unit (40), and a control part (15).

[0027] The rotating frame (21) is rotatably installed on the front of the washing machine (10) and is coupled with the door (13). The rotating frame (21) can open or close the door through rotational movement. The rotating frame (21) is formed by bending and welding a straight member and can take the shape of FIG. 2. That is, it is in a form that supports across the front of the door (13), generally in a '□' shape, and forms a frame shape coupled to the door at the top, bottom, left, right, etc. of the door. Therefore, even if washing water inside the washing tub applies strong force to the door during washing, the door is covered and stably supported by the rotating frame (21) coupled across the front of the door, thereby maintaining a stable structure for the door and the washing machine (10) as a whole. Additionally, a rotating shaft is provided on one side of the rotating frame (21) to rotate relative to one side of the washing machine body (11).

[0028] That is, as described above, the rotating frame (21) has a rotating shaft portion (21a) and a door coupling portion (21e). The rotating shaft portion (21a) is a vertically extended straight member and has a shaft (21b) at the upper and lower ends. The shaft (21b) is rotatably supported by a support bracket (23). As shown in FIG. 3, the rotating shaft portion (21a) is rotatably supported by a door opening / closing portion (30) while supported by a support bracket (23). The support bracket (23) is a member that is fixed to the front of the washing machine body (11) and rotatably supports the rotating frame (21). Therefore, the operating force by the torque output module (31) described later rotates the rotating shaft portion (21a) through the jaw coupling (33), thereby opening and closing the rotating frame (21).

[0029] The door coupling part (21e) has both ends fixed to the upper and lower ends of the rotation shaft part (21a) and forms a shape that is bent approximately into a 'U' shape, and together with the rotation shaft part (21a) on one side, the entire rotation frame (21) forms a 'square' shape. The door coupling part (21e) is coupled to the front of the door (13). The door coupling part (21e) and the door (13) rotate as one body.

[0030] Additionally, a locking pin (21f) is provided at the free end of the door coupling portion (21e). The locking pin (21f) is a pin-shaped member extending laterally and is held and restrained by a rotary latch (47) as described later through FIGS. 6 and 7. As long as the locking pin (21f) is restrained by the rotary latch (47), the door (13) is not pushed open by the water pressure inside the washing tub. That is, this locking pin (21f) is formed in the shape of a pin extending outward in the rotational direction in which the door (13) opens.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 4, the locking pin (21f) is held in place by a pin holder (21g). The pin holder (21g) is a bracket-shaped member that is integral with the locking pin (21f) and is fixed to the door coupling part (21e). The pin holder (21g) can be welded to the door coupling part (21e). However, according to the embodiment, the pin holder (21g) can be bolted to the door coupling part (21e). The pin holder (21g) is fixed using a bolt. When bolted, the pin holder (21g) can be replaced. For example, if the locking pin (21f) bends or deforms during use, the locking pin (21f) can be replaced.

[0032] The door opening / closing unit (30) serves to rotate the rotating frame (21) in both directions. Since the rotating frame (21) and the door (13) form a single unit, the door (13) is ultimately opened and closed by the door opening / closing unit (30).

[0033] As illustrated in FIG. 3, the door opening / closing unit (30) includes a torque output module (31) and a power transmission unit. The torque output module (31) has a drive shaft (31a) capable of bidirectional rotation. The torque output module (31) is controlled by a control unit (15) and rotates the drive shaft (31a). As long as the drive shaft (31a) can be rotated in both directions, various types of torque output modules (31) can be applied. For example, various types can be applied, such as pneumatic or hydraulic actuators, electric actuators, drive modules using motors and gears, or modules using motors and chains.

[0034] In addition, the power transmission unit serves to transmit the rotational force of the torque output module (31) to the rotating shaft unit (21a). A jaw coupling (33) can be used as the power transmission unit.

[0035] This jaw coupling (33) transmits power by connecting the input shaft connected to the torque output module (31) and the output shaft connected to the rotating frame (21) to each other through a male and female tooth coupling. That is, although the input shaft and the output shaft are not directly connected in the jaw coupling (33), the input side coupler and the output side coupler are connected to each other through a male and female tooth coupling, so that power is transmitted in a direct transmission manner and the temporary impact force can be offset, thereby protecting against impact forces from both the power side and the operating load. At the same time, even if the rotation angle between the input shaft and the output shaft is slightly misaligned, power transmission can be stably transmitted without problems while the coupling is connected.

[0036] In other words, the transmission of vibrations occurring during the power transmission process can be blocked. For instance, it prevents vibrations generated during the rotation of the rotating frame (21) from being transmitted to the torque output module (31), or conversely, prevents vibrations from the torque output module (31) from being transmitted to the rotating frame (21). Additionally, the jaw coupling (33) can perform the role of torque transmission even if the center axis of the drive shaft (31a) and the rotating shaft part (21a) is somewhat eccentric. Features such as power transmission characteristics and shock force mitigation operation are common in the field of jaw coupling technology, so further explanation regarding them will be omitted. Furthermore, depending on the embodiment, a flexible coupling, an Oldham coupling, a disc coupling, or a gear coupling may be used instead of the jaw coupling.

[0037] Meanwhile, the locking unit (40) serves to maintain the locked state of the door (13) when the door is closed. That is, it fixes the door (13) in a closed state to prevent the door (13) from being pushed open by the water pressure inside the washing tub. The locking unit (40) also operates automatically by the control unit (15).

[0038] The locking unit (40) includes a latch supporter (45), a rotary latch (47), and a latch drive unit.

[0039] As illustrated in FIG. 4, the latch supporter (45) is a member fixed to the front of the washing machine body (11) and has a horizontal connecting pin (45a). The latch supporter (45) rotatably supports the rotary latch (47) through the connecting pin (45a). The connecting pin (45a) is a mechanical element fixed horizontally and rotatably supports the rotary latch (47). The connecting pin (45a) is spaced parallel to the locking pin (21f) when the door is closed. That is, since the connecting pin (45a) is installed parallel to the locking pin (21f), the rotary latch (47), which rotates around the connecting pin (45a) as an axis, eventually rotates laterally to the locking pin (21f). Therefore, in the locked state, the rotary latch (47) rotates laterally to the locking pin (21f) to achieve a locked state.

[0040] That is, the rotary latch (47) is a member rotatably mounted on the latch supporter (45). As shown in FIG. 7, the rotary latch (47) engages and restrains the locking pin (21f) when the door is closed. That is, it prevents the locking pin (21f) from being pushed out in the direction of arrow f. The direction of arrow f is the direction in which the door opens.

[0041] The rotary latch (47) includes a rotation center (47c), a rotation arm (47a), and a hook (47e). The rotation center (47c) is the part through which the connecting pin (45a) passes. The rotation center (47c) can rotate while supported by the connecting pin (45a).

[0042] The rotating arm (47a) is a portion that is integral with the rotation center (47c) and extends in the longitudinal direction. The extended end of the rotating arm (47a) is connected to the piston rod (43c) of the latch drive unit by a connecting pin (43e). The rotating arm (47a) rotates by receiving rotational force from the latch drive unit.

[0043] And the hook portion (47e) is a part that is integral with the approximately central part of the rotating arm portion (47a) and has a bent shape. The hook portion (47e) moves toward the locking pin (21f) by the latch drive portion to restrain the locking pin or provides a locking groove (47f) that separates from the locking pin. As shown in FIG. 7, the locking groove (47f) receives and fixes the locking pin (21f).

[0044] The latch drive unit acts to operate the rotary latch (47). That is, it rotates the rotary latch (47) in the direction of arrow a in Fig. 5 or arrow c in Fig. 6.

[0045] The latch drive unit includes an actuator (43). The operation of the actuator (43) is controlled by the control unit (15). The cylinder (43a) of the actuator (43) is linked to the support bracket (41) via the support pin (41a). Additionally, the piston rod (43c) is linked to the rotary arm (47a) via the connector (43d) and the connecting pin (43e). Consequently, the rotary latch (47) rotates in both directions by the operation of the actuator (43).

[0046] FIG. 5 is a drawing showing the rotary latch (47) being flipped out of the movement path of the locking pin (21f). When the door (13) is closed with the rotary latch (47) flipped in this manner, the locking pin (21f) passes through the lower part of the rotary latch (47) and is positioned on the side of the latch supporter (45).

[0047] In this state, when the actuator (43) is driven to extend the piston rod (43c) in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 6, the rotary latch (47) pivotally coupled to the end of the piston rod (43c) rotates around the connecting pin (45a), and the hook portion (47e) moves toward the locking pin (21f) due to the rotation of the rotary latch (47). FIG. 7 shows the rotary latch (47) fully rotated and in a locked state. As shown, the locking pin (21f) is constrained in the locking groove (47f) and is pressed in the opposite direction of arrow f. Even if the locking pin (21f) is pressed in the direction of arrow f by the water pressure inside the washing tub, the locking pin cannot move as long as the hook portion (47e) is pressing the locking pin (21f).

[0048] In order to open the door (13) in the above state, the rotary latch (47) is rotated counterclockwise through the actuator (43). That is, the rotary latch (47) is rotated until it reaches the state shown in FIG. 5. As the rotary latch (47) rotates in the opposite direction, the hook portion (47e) is separated from the locking pin (21f). In this state, the door (13) can be opened by driving the torque output module (31).

[0049] As described above regarding the opening and closing device according to the present invention provided in this manner, it includes an actuator (43) that operates by a control unit (15) to rotate the rotary latch (47) in both directions, and a rotary latch (47) that rotates relative to one side of the washing machine body (11) by the operation of the actuator (43). And as the rotary latch (47) rotates relative to one side of the washing machine body (11), a pin-shaped locking pin (21f) that extends outwardly in the direction of rotation in which the door (13) opens engages with the rotary latch (47) to prevent detachment, thereby performing a locking operation.

[0050] In particular, regarding the locking pin (21f) extended in the rotational direction of the door (13), the rotary latch (47) rotates perpendicular to the rotational direction of the door (13) to lock the locking pin (21f). Generally, in the prior art, the manual locking device for locking the door of a washing machine locks in a direction parallel to the direction in which the door rotates when opening and closing.

[0051] Furthermore, if a cylinder locking mechanism is installed in a manner similar to such manual locking devices, installing the locking cylinder in the direction of door opening may result in insufficient space for the cylinder, leading to a lack of locking force with a single cylinder. In such cases, for large washing machines, there is a risk that the door may accidentally open due to the force of the rushing water. While multiple small cylinders can be provided to compensate for this, it may have the disadvantage of requiring a correspondingly large number of operating components.

[0052] On the other hand, as in FIG. 1, FIG. 4, etc., the locking pin (21f) is in a form that extends in the rotational direction in which the door (13) opens, and this locking pin (21f) moves in the rotational direction in which the door opens.

[0053] At the same time, the rotary latch (47) of the locking unit (40) coupled to the locking pin (21f) causes the locking force to operate in a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction of the locking pin (21f) and the door (13). That is, the rotary latch (47), which is rotated by the actuator (43), rotates in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the locking pin (21f) moves while rotating relative to one side of the washing machine body (11). At the same time, in the open state of FIG. 4, the rotary latch (47) rotates in the direction in which the locking pin (21f) is located, which is the locking direction, so that the locking pin (21f) is locked by the rotary latch (47) as shown in FIG. 7. Thus, sufficient operating space for the rotary latch (47) and installation space for the actuator (43) can be secured, and the door can be prevented from being forcibly opened by the strong force of the rotary latch (47).

[0054] Although the present invention has been described in detail through specific embodiments, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention.
