Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device comprising a digitizer and an NFC (near field communication) antenna, and a method for controlling said electronic device. Background Technology
[0002] The use of electronic devices such as bar-type, foldable-type, rollable-type, or sliding-type smartphones, tablet PCs, or laptop PCs is increasing.
[0003] The above electronic device can display various information such as text, images, and videos using a display.

The memory (130) may store various settings information required for function processing in the electronic device (101).
[0104] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be electrically or operationally connected to a display (201), a wireless communication circuit (401), a digitizer control circuit (402), and a memory (130). The processor (120) may control the functions and operations of the display (201), the wireless communication circuit (401), the digitizer control circuit (402), and the memory (130). The processor (120) may be configured to access the memory (130) and execute at least one instruction. An electronic device (101) may include at least one processor (120). The electronic device (101) may be configured to perform at least one operation when instructions stored in the memory (120) are executed individually or collectively by the processor (120).
[0105] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) can output a wireless signal through the NFC antenna (510). For example, the processor (120) can control the wireless communication circuit (401) and output a wireless signal through the NFC antenna (510). The processor (120) can check whether input through the electronic pen (240) is recognized by the digitizer (360). If input through the electronic pen (240) is recognized by the digitizer (360), the processor (120) can control the NFC antenna (510) so that it does not output a wireless signal. For example, input through the electronic pen (240) may include hovering input and / or drawing input transmitted to the digitizer (360).
[0106] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured to output a wireless signal through the NFC antenna (510) when an input through the electronic pen (240) is recognized by the digitizer (360) while the NFC antenna (510) is wirelessly communicating with an external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device (102, 104) of FIG. 1a or the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b).
[0107] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured to maintain the output state of a wireless signal through the NFC antenna (510) when an input through the electronic pen (240) is recognized by the digitizer (360) while the NFC antenna (510) is wirelessly communicating with an external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device (102, 104) of FIG. 1a or the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b).
[0108] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured so that input through the electronic pen (240) is not recognized by the digitizer (360) while the NFC antenna (510) is wirelessly communicating with an external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device (102, 104) of FIG. 1a or the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b). For example, the processor (120) may be configured to disable the digitizer (360) while the NFC antenna (510) is wirelessly communicating with an external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device (102, 104) of FIG. 1a or the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b).
[0109] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured to maintain the output state of a wireless signal through the NFC antenna (360) when an external electronic device (e.g., the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b) is tagged to the NFC antenna (510).
[0110] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured so that input through the electronic pen (240) is not recognized by the digitizer (360) when an external electronic device (e.g., the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b) is tagged to the NFC antenna (510). For example, the processor (120) may be configured to disable the digitizer (360) when an external electronic device (e.g., the NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b) is tagged to the NFC antenna (510).
[0111] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured to provide a popup (e.g., user interface) on the display (201) indicating the use of the electronic pen (240) after the NFC card (e.g., NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b) is untagged on the NFC antenna (510) when a specific application selected by the user or a designated application is used.
[0112] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) may be configured to provide a popup (e.g., user interface) on the display (201) to remove the NFC card (e.g., NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b) when the NFC card (e.g., NFC card (910) of FIG. 9b) is placed on the NFC antenna (510) when a specific application or designated application is used by a user.
[0113] According to various embodiments, the processor (120) may perform the function of controlling the overall operation of the electronic device (101) and the flow of signals between internal components, and processing data. The processor (120) may include, for example, a central processing unit (CPU), an application processor, and / or a communication processor. The processor (120) may include a single-core processor or a multi-core processor. The processor (120) may be composed of at least one processor. For example, the processor (120) may include an application processor (e.g., the main processor (121) of FIG. 1a) and a sensor hub processor (e.g., the auxiliary processor (123) of FIG. 1a). According to various embodiments, the processor (120) may include at least one of a micro-processor unit (MPU) and a data processing unit (DPU).
[0114] According to various embodiments, an operation performed in an electronic device (101) may be performed and / or executed by at least one instruction stored in at least one processor (120) and / or memory (130). For example, in this document, an embodiment in which the electronic device (101) can perform any operation may be interpreted to mean that it is performed by at least one instruction stored in the processor (120) and / or memory (130).
[0115] FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram illustrating the operation of a digitizer control circuit and a wireless communication circuit when input from an electronic pen according to one embodiment of the present invention is performed on a digitizer.
[0116] According to one embodiment, if the electronic pen (240) is separated from the digitizer (360) (or display (201)) by a distance greater than specified, the digitizer control circuit (402) may not recognize the input of the electronic pen (240) (e.g., hovering and / or drawing). For example, if the electronic pen (240) is separated from the digitizer (360) by a distance greater than specified, the processor (120) may control the wireless communication circuit (401) to output a wireless signal through the NFC antenna (510).
[0117] According to one embodiment, when the electronic pen (240) is adjacent to the digitizer (360) (or display (201)) at a distance less than specified, the digitizer control circuit (402) can recognize the use or input (e.g., hovering and / or drawing) of the electronic pen (240). For example, when the electronic pen (240) is adjacent to the digitizer (360) at a distance less than specified, the digitizer control circuit (402) can transmit a detection signal related to hovering and / or drawing of the electronic pen (240) to the processor (120). For example, when the detection signal of the electronic pen (240) is received through the digitizer control circuit (402), the processor (120) can display an indicator (710) on the display (201). For example, the indicator (710) may include an indicator related to hovering. For example, the indicator (710) may be an indicator (710) that indicates hovering and / or drawing is possible.
[0118] According to one embodiment, when a detection signal of an electronic pen (240) is received through a digitizer control circuit (402), the processor (120) can control a wireless communication circuit (401) so that a wireless signal is not output through an NFC antenna (510). For example, when an input signal (e.g., hovering input and / or drawing input) is recognized or detected through a digitizer (360), the processor (120) can control the wireless communication circuit (401) so that a wireless signal is not output through an NFC antenna (510).
[0119] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) can control the wireless communication circuit (401) to output a wireless signal (e.g., a high signal) through the NFC antenna (510) when the electronic pen (240) is separated from the digitizer (360) (or display (201)) by a distance greater than specified, so that the electronic pen (240) is not used or an input signal (e.g., a hovering signal and / or a drawing signal) through the electronic pen (240) is not detected.
[0120] According to one embodiment, the processor (120) can control the wireless communication circuit (401) so that when the electronic pen (240) is used or an input signal (e.g., hovering signal and / or drawing signal) is detected when the electronic pen (240) is adjacent to the digitizer (360) (or display (201)) at a distance less than specified, the wireless signal (e.g., low signal) is not output through the NFC antenna (510).
[0121] FIG. 8 is a diagram schematically showing the non-output and output sections of a wireless signal through an NFC antenna according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0122] Referring to FIG. 8, in the section where the electronic pen (240) is waiting for input or in the section where the electronic pen (240) is not used, even if a wireless signal is output through the NFC antenna (510), the digitizer (360) may not affect the electronic pen (240) in recognizing or detecting the input signal.
[0123] According to one embodiment, in the section where an input signal, such as hovering and / or drawing, is detected on the digitizer (360) through the electronic pen (240), a wireless signal is not output through the NFC antenna (510), thereby allowing the signal input on the digitizer (360) through the electronic pen (240) to be recognized or detected normally.
[0124] FIG. 9a is a schematic diagram showing the state in which an NFC card is tagged on an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9b is a schematic diagram showing the state in which the wireless signal of an NFC antenna is turned ON when an NFC card is tagged on an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0125] Referring to FIG. 9a, the NFC antenna (510) of the electronic device (101) can be in contact with an NFC card (910). For example, the NFC card (910) can be tagged with the NFC antenna (510) of the electronic device (101). For example, when the NFC card (910) is tagged with the NFC antenna (510), the wireless signal of the NFC antenna (510) can be maintained in an output state.
[0126] According to various embodiments, when an NFC card (910) is tagged to an NFC antenna (510) and a transaction state is in which wireless communication is performed between the NFC card (910) and the NFC antenna (510), if an input signal is generated on the digitizer (360) through the electronic pen (240) and a wireless signal is not output through the NFC antenna (510), an error may occur between the NFC card (910) and the NFC antenna (510).
[0127] According to one embodiment, when an NFC card (910) is tagged to an NFC antenna (510) and wireless communication is performed between the NFC card (910) and the NFC antenna (510), the processor (120) can maintain the wireless signal of the NFC antenna (510) in an output state even if a signal is input onto the digitizer (360) through an electronic pen (240). For example, when an NFC card (910) is tagged to an NFC antenna (510) and wireless communication is performed between the NFC card (910) and the NFC antenna (510), the processor (120) can turn off (e.g., disable) the digitizer (360).
[0128] Referring to FIG. 9b, when an NFC card (910) is tagged to an NFC antenna (510) and wireless communication is performed between the NFC card (910) and the NFC antenna (510) (e.g., in a transaction state), it can be seen that even if a signal is input to the digitizer (360) through the electronic pen (240), the wireless signal of the NFC antenna (510) remains in an output state (e.g., in a transaction state).
