Description

Technology Field

[0001] The disclosed content relates to a water purification system that purifies and provides water through a water purification filter. Background Technology

[0002] Unless otherwise indicated in this specification, the contents described in this section are not prior art for the claims of this application, and are not to be recognized as prior art simply because they are included in this section.

[0004] Generally, a water purification system refers to a device that purifies contaminated water into clean water by filtering it through a water purification filter.

[0005] Water to be purified flows into the water filter assembly through the inlet channel of the filter header. As the incoming water passes through the water filter, various impurities such as foreign substances, rust, bacteria, and organic matter contained in the water are filtered out, thereby purifying the water. The purified water is then discharged through the outlet channel of the filter header.

[0006] Recently, complex water purification systems are being developed that sterilize water or water filters using ultraviolet rays by applying UV lamps in combination with water purification systems.

[0007] As an example of a composite water purification system with a UV lamp, Korean Utility Model Publication No. 10-2011-0043247 (published April 27, 2011) discloses a water treatment device comprising: a flow path forming member having an inlet formed at one end and an outlet formed at the other end; a filtration unit mounted on the lower part of the flow path forming member to connect the inlet and the outlet; a titanium filter disposed inside the filtration unit and coupled to the flow path forming member; and a UV lamp disposed outside the filtration unit to irradiate ultraviolet rays to the filtration unit, wherein the filtration unit is made of a transparent material and the titanium filter is formed in a cylindrical shape with an open top and mounted on the flow path forming member, and a fluid introduced into the filtration unit through the inlet is filtered by the titanium filter and then discharged through the outlet.

[0008] In addition, Korean Patent Registration No. 10-1982796 (published on May 21, 2019) describes a main body housing having a hollow cylindrical structure, equipped with a treated water inlet on one side of the top and a treated water outlet on the other side of the top, and having a treated water disinfection space formed inside; four lamp protection tubes installed in the disinfection space of the main body housing and ultraviolet lamps installed inside the lamp protection tubes; and a buoyancy-type non-powered washer installed inside the main body housing, which cleans the exterior of the lamp protection tubes by moving up and down as buoyancy acts due to the treated water flowing into and out of the disinfection space. A water treatment ultraviolet disinfection device having automatic cleaning and automatic filtration functions is disclosed, comprising: a treated water filtration filter having a porous surface for passing treated water and configured to filter the treated water connected to the treated water inlet and introduce it into the interior of the main body housing, wherein the treated water is formed such that when treated water flows in at a pressure above a certain level during pump pressure inflow, the hydraulic pressure is primarily reduced to prevent damage to the lamp protection tube; wherein the treated water is connected to one end of the treated water inlet and is replaceable, and the treated water is filtered and introduced into the interior of the main body housing.

[0009] Furthermore, in the case of the conventional combined water purification system described above, there was a problem in that the UV sterilization effect was reduced because the UV lamp was installed either outside the filtration unit or within the disinfection space inside the main body, and there was also a problem in that the lifespan of the water purification filter could not be extended because internal sterilization of the water purification filter itself was impossible. Prior art literature

[0010] Republic of Korea Utility Model Publication No. 10-2011-0043247 (Published on April 27, 2011) Republic of Korea Patent Registration No. 10-1982796 (Published on May 21, 2019) The problem to be solved

[0011] We intend to provide a water purification filter system comprising a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line, wherein the selective connection of the general water purification line and the UV sterilization line maximizes the UV sterilization effect when necessary and provides reliable sterilization, while the service life of the water purification filter can be extended through internal sterilization.

[0012] Furthermore, it is evident that the technical challenges are not limited to those described above, and that other technical challenges may be derived from the following description. means of solving the problem

[0013] The disclosed content presents, as an embodiment, a composite water purification system equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line, comprising: a filter header having an inlet formed on one side of the upper portion and an outlet formed on the other side of the upper portion; a filter housing coupled to the lower side of the filter header; a hollow water purification filter provided within the filter housing, having a purification space formed therein for storing purified water prior to discharge; a UV sterilization module coupled through the lower end of the filter housing and extending into the purification space of the hollow water purification filter; a general water purification line connected to the outlet side of the filter header; and a UV sterilization line extending from one side of the lower end of the UV sterilization module and connected to a point on the general water purification line.

[0014] According to a preferred feature of the disclosed content, the UV sterilization module can be replacedably coupled to the filter housing.

[0015] According to a preferred feature of the disclosed content, the UV sterilization module may include a UV lamp portion that emits ultraviolet light upward, and a tubular member connected to the UV lamp portion and watertightly coupled to the bottom of the filter housing, extending into the water purification space of the hollow water purification filter.

[0016] According to a preferred feature of the disclosed content, the UV sterilization line can be connected to one point of the general water purification line through the interposition of a three-way valve.

[0017] According to a preferred feature of the disclosed content, the UV sterilization module may be operated only when the three-way valve is switched so that the UV sterilization line is opened. Effects of the invention

[0018] According to the composite water purification system equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line as described above, the water within the purification space of the hollow water purification filter is sterilized by a UV sterilization module that is coupled through the bottom of the filter housing and extends into the purification space of the hollow water purification filter. At the same time, the general water purification line is connected to the outlet side of the filter header, and the UV sterilization line extends from one side of the bottom of the UV sterilization module and branches off to a point on the general water purification line. Consequently, through the selective connection of the general water purification line and the UV sterilization line, the UV sterilization effect can be maximized when necessary, and reliable sterilization can be provided. Additionally, the service life of the hollow water purification filter can be extended through internal sterilization of the hollow water purification filter.

[0019] The effects of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood by a person skilled in the art from the description in the claims. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0020] FIG. 1 is an overall structural diagram of a composite water purification system equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line according to one embodiment of the disclosed content. FIG. 2 is a general water purification operation diagram of a composite water purification system equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line according to one embodiment of the disclosed content. FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the operation of UV sterilization in a composite water purification system equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line according to one embodiment of the disclosed content. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0021] Hereinafter, the configuration and effects of a preferred embodiment will be examined with reference to the attached drawings. For reference, in the drawings below, each component is omitted or schematically depicted for convenience and clarity, and the size of each component does not reflect its actual size. Furthermore, throughout the specification, the same reference numerals refer to the same components, and reference numerals for the same configuration in individual drawings will be omitted.

[0023] A composite water purification system (1) equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line according to one embodiment of the disclosed content, as shown in FIG. 1, comprises a filter header (10) having an inlet (11) formed on one side of the upper portion and an outlet (12) formed on the other side of the upper portion, a filter housing (20) coupled to the lower side of the filter header (10), a hollow water purification filter (30) provided within the filter housing (20) and having a water purification space (31) formed therein for storing purified water before discharge, a UV sterilization module (40) coupled through the lower end of the filter housing (20) and extending into the water purification space (31) of the hollow water purification filter (30), a general water purification line (50) connected to the outlet (12) side of the filter header (10), and a UV sterilization line (60) extending from one side of the lower end of the UV sterilization module (40) and connected to a point on the general water purification line (50).

[0024] Here, the filter header (10) serves to form a water purification filter assembly together with the filter housing (20) and the hollow water purification filter (30) to be described later, and at the same time serves to handle the inlet and outlet of the water purification filter assembly.

[0025] An inlet port (11) to which an inlet line (Madosi) is connected is formed on one side of the upper part of the filter header (10), and an outlet port (12) to which a general water purification line (50) to be described later, corresponding to an outlet line, is connected is formed on the other side of the upper part, and a filter coupling port (13) to which a filter housing (20) to be described later is detachably coupled is formed on the lower part of the filter header (10).

[0026] Since this filter header (10) is identical in configuration to the filter header of a conventional water purification filter assembly, further detailed description is omitted here for the sake of brevity of the specification.

[0027] A filter housing (20) is coupled to the lower side of the aforementioned filter header (10), particularly to the filter coupling member (13). The filter housing (20) corresponds to a type of filter housing case in which a hollow water purification filter (30), to be described later, is housed to form a water purification channel.

[0028] The filter housing (20) includes a filter storage container (21) in which a hollow water purification filter (30), to be described later, is stored spaced apart from the inner surface, and a filter cap (22) coupled to the top of the filter storage container (21) and forming a detachable coupling projection for the filter coupling member (13).

[0029] Since this filter housing (20) is identical to the configuration of a filter housing of a conventional water purification filter assembly except that a sterilization module coupling part, to which a UV sterilization module (40) to be described later is inserted and coupled is formed through the bottom of the filter storage container (21), further detailed description is omitted here for the sake of simplification of the specification.

[0030] A hollow water purification filter (30) is provided within the aforementioned filter housing (20). The hollow water purification filter (30) purifies water that flows into the filter housing (20) through the filter header (10) and can be formed as a hollow cylindrical carbon block filter, etc.

[0031] Due to its hollow shape, the hollow water filter (30) has a water purification space (31) formed inside where purified water is stored before being discharged. As a UV sterilization module (40), which will be described later, is inserted into and extended into this water purification space (31), a UV sterilization treatment space is formed to sterilize the water purified by the hollow water filter (30) a second time.

[0032] A UV sterilization module (40) is connected through the bottom of the aforementioned filter housing (20). The UV sterilization module (40) extends into the water purification space (31) of the hollow water purification filter (30) and emits ultraviolet rays when necessary, thereby serving to sterilize the water purified by the hollow water purification filter (30) secondarily.

[0033] This UV sterilization module (40) may include a UV lamp part (41) that emits ultraviolet light upward, and a tubular member (42) that is connected to the UV lamp part (41) and is watertightly coupled to the bottom of the filter housing (20) and extends into the water purification space (31) of the hollow water purification filter (30).

[0034] At this time, the tubular member (42) may be formed so that ultraviolet rays emitted from the UV lamp part (41) do not leak out to the outside but are supplied only to the inside, in which case the ratio of the amount of ultraviolet rays to the amount of unit water is increased so that the sterilization effect can be maximized.

[0035] Additionally, according to the embodiment, the tubular member (42) may be formed as a transparent tube so that ultraviolet rays emitted from the UV lamp unit (41) leak out not only inside but also outside, or it may be formed as a type of tubular light guide plate that emits ultraviolet light emitted from the UV lamp unit (41) over the entire surface area. In this case, as the interior of the hollow water purification filter (30) is sterilized by ultraviolet rays, the proliferation of, for example, biofilms is suppressed, and the lifespan of the hollow water purification filter (30) can be increased.

[0036] This UV sterilization module (40) may be fixedly coupled to the bottom of the filter housing (20), but it is preferable to be replaceably coupled through the bottom of the filter housing (20).

[0037] Additionally, the UV sterilization module (40) may include its own battery or receive power from an external power source via a power cable. The power supply and operation of the UV sterilization module (40) may be controlled by a separate controller (not shown).

[0038] A general water purification line (50) is connected to the outlet (12) side of the aforementioned filter header (10). The general water purification line (50) corresponds to a conduit through which water purified by the hollow water purification filter (30) flows after being discharged through the outlet (12) of the filter header (10).

[0039] Since this general water purification line (50) is identical to the connection configuration of a conventional water purification line connected to a conventional water purification filter assembly, except for the branch connection structure of the UV sterilization line (60) to be described later, further detailed description is omitted here for the sake of simplification of the specification.

[0040] A UV sterilization line (60) is extended from one side of the lower portion of the aforementioned UV sterilization module (40), particularly from one side of the lower portion of the tubular member (42), and connected to one point of the general water purification line (50). The UV sterilization line (60) corresponds to a conduit through which water that has been secondarily sterilized by the UV sterilization module (40) within the water purification space (31) of the hollow water purification filter (30) can be supplied to one point of the general water purification line (50).

[0041] It is preferable that this UV sterilization line (60) be connected to a point of the general water purification line (50) with the interposition of a three-way valve (70).

[0042] This three-way valve (70) can be switched so that only the general water purification line (50) is opened and the UV sterilization line (60) is closed, as shown in FIG. 2, depending on manual operation by a user or control by a controller. In this case, it is preferable that the UV sterilization module (40) is not operated.

[0043] In this case, water introduced through the inlet (11) of the filter header (10) flows into the space between the filter housing (20) and the hollow water filter (30), then flows through the hollow water filter (30) to be purified, then flows into the purified space (31), and then is discharged through the outlet (11) of the filter header (10) and can be discharged through the general water purification line (50).

[0044] Additionally, the three-way valve (70) can be switched so that only the general water purification line (50) is closed and the UV sterilization line (60) is opened, as shown in FIG. 3, depending on manual operation by a user or control by a controller, and it is preferable that the UV sterilization module (40) be controlled to operate only in this case.

[0045] In this case, water introduced through the inlet (11) of the filter header (10) is introduced into the space between the filter housing (20) and the hollow water filter (30), then undergoes primary water purification treatment while flowing through the hollow water filter (30) and is introduced into the water purification space (31), then is sterilized by the UV sterilization module (40), and then is discharged through the UV sterilization line (60) and discharged into the general water purification line (50).

[0046] In the case of a composite water purification system (1) equipped with a general water purification line and a UV sterilization line according to one embodiment of the disclosed content as described above, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the system has a structure in which water within the water purification space (31) of a hollow water purification filter (30) is sterilized by a UV sterilization module (40) that is connected through the bottom of a filter housing (20) and extends into the water purification space (31) of a hollow water purification filter (30). At the same time, a general water purification line (50) is connected to the outlet (12) side of a filter header (10), and a UV sterilization line (60) extends from one side of the bottom of the UV sterilization module (40) and branches off to a point on the general water purification line (50). Accordingly, through the selective connection of the general water purification line (50) and the UV sterilization line (60) by a three-way valve (70), the UV sterilization effect can be maximized when necessary, and a reliable sterilization effect can be provided. By suppressing the proliferation of, for example, biofilms through internal sterilization, the lifespan of the hollow water filter (30) can be increased.

[0048] Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above with reference to the attached drawings, the embodiments described in this specification and the configurations illustrated in the drawings are merely the most preferred embodiments of the present invention and do not represent all technical concepts of the present invention. Therefore, it should be understood that various equivalents and modifications that can replace them may exist at the time of filing this application.
