Abstract

The present invention discloses an electric oil pump control device for an automatic transmission and a method thereof. The electric oil pump control device for an automatic transmission according to the present invention comprises: a drive motor for driving an oil pump; a current sensing module for detecting a drive current applied to the drive motor; a rotational speed sensing module for detecting the rotational speed of the drive motor; a memory; and a processor operatively coupled to the drive motor, the current sensing module, the rotational speed sensing module, and the memory; wherein the processor applies a drive current to the drive motor according to a target rotational speed input from an upper control unit to operate the drive motor and feeds back the rotational speed detected through the rotational speed sensing module, and when the drive current detected through the current sensing module exceeds a set current, the drive motor is stopped and operated repeatedly.
