Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a crash test device, and more specifically, to a technology for a crash test device capable of real-time implementation of the lateral dynamic behavior of a vehicle body occurring during a real-vehicle collision. Background Technology
[0002] Automakers are developing and selling vehicles that meet the crash test standards set by the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) to secure overseas sales networks.
[0003] The Small Overlap crash test, a type of crash test, is conducted under conditions of a vehicle speed of 64 km / h, a 0-degree frontal angle, a 25% offset, and a rigid barrier column. The New Frontal Research Moving Deformable Barrier Test, which conducts crash tests under more severe conditions than the Small Overlap, is conducted under conditions of a vehicle speed of 90.1 km / h, a 15-degree incline, a 35% offset, and a Research Moving Deformable Barrier (RMDB).
[0004] When a collision occurs while a vehicle is in motion, lateral dynamic behavior of the vehicle body occurs, and due to this lateral dynamic behavior of the vehicle body, the passengers' behavior also changes in various directions.
[0005] However, current sleds are configured to perform only one type of collision mode—such as a frontal collision, a side collision, or an offset collision—by fixing the vehicle body to a specific position (state) and moving it in only one direction. Consequently, they cannot simultaneously simulate the lateral dynamic behavior of the vehicle body in real time, as is the case with actual vehicle collision accidents. This results in a disadvantage where the passenger safety data obtained through the collision test differs significantly from that of actual vehicle collision accidents.
[0006] If the data obtained through crash tests differs significantly from actual vehicle crashes, the performance of restraint devices (airbags, seat belts, etc.) that affect passenger safety will be compromised during development, and in such cases, there is a risk that passengers in the actual vehicle may suffer serious injuries from interior components.
[0007] The matters described above as background technology are intended only to enhance understanding of the background of the present invention and should not be construed as an acknowledgment that they constitute prior art already known to those skilled in the art. Prior art literature
[0008] Republic of Korea Published Patent Application No. 10-2002-0056577 The problem to be solved

[0026] Hereinafter, a collision test device according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be examined with reference to the attached drawings.
[0027] The crash test device according to the present invention is configured to simultaneously implement the lateral dynamic behavior of the vehicle body for the crash test in real time during the crash test, just as in a collision accident of an actual vehicle.
[0028] That is, the collision test device according to the present invention comprises a lower plate (200) installed to be movable back and forth along the first guide rail (100) by being coupled to a first guide rail (100) that extends in the front and rear directions as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, an upper plate (300) coupled to the lower plate (200) so as to be movable in the left and right directions relative to the lower plate (200) and fixedly coupled to the vehicle body (10) for the collision test, and a lateral movement inducing unit (400) connected to the upper plate (300) or the vehicle body (10) for the collision test, which induces lateral movement of the upper plate (300) when the lower plate (200) moves along the first guide rail (100).
[0029] The first guide rail (100) is fixedly installed at the location for the collision test, and as shown, two guide rails spaced apart from each other are installed parallel to each other while extending along the front-rear direction.
[0030] The first guide rail (100) can be composed of a linear motion guide.
[0031] A rail block is fixedly coupled to the bottom surface of the lower plate (200), and the rail block is coupled to the first guide rail (100) so that it can move back and forth along the first guide rail (100), and as a result, the lower plate (200) has a structure that can move back and forth along the first guide rail (100).
[0032] The upper plate (300) is positioned on the lower plate (200), and the vehicle body (10) for the crash test is fixedly attached to the upper surface.
[0033] The vehicle body (10) for the crash test is a steel body reinforced so as not to undergo permanent deformation, and the vehicle body (10) for the crash test is provided with a passenger safety space (11) in which a dummy (1) is placed.
[0034] The passenger safety space (11) is the interior space where the actual passenger boards the vehicle, excluding the front engine room space and the rear trunk room space based on the passenger vehicle.
[0035] The dummy is placed facing forward in the passenger safety space (11).
[0036] The upper plate (300) is structured to be movable in the left and right directions relative to the lower plate (200). To this end, the present invention has a second guide rail (500) attached to the upper surface of the lower plate (200) and a rail block (600) attached to the lower surface of the upper plate (300).
[0037] As shown in the illustration, two second guide rails (500) are installed parallel to each other while extending along the left and right directions, spaced apart from each other in the front and back directions.
[0038] A rail block (600) fixedly coupled to the underside of an upper plate (300) is coupled to a second guide rail (500) and can move left and right along the second guide rail (500). Thus, as the rail block (600) moves left and right along the second guide rail (500), the upper plate (300) to which the collision test vehicle body (10) is coupled is structured to move laterally relative to the lower plate (200).
[0039] The second guide rail (500) and the rail block (600) can be configured as a linear motion guide.
[0040] The collision test device according to the present invention further includes an actuator (700) that is installed to be located at one end (front) of the first guide rail (100) and generates power to move the lower plate (200) so that the lower plate (200) can move in one direction along the first guide rail (100) when operated.
[0041] The actuator (700) may be configured as, for example, an airbag inflator, a pneumatic cylinder, or a hydraulic cylinder that operates when current is applied to generate pneumatic pressure (or high-pressure gas), and includes an operating rod (710) that operates as pneumatic pressure, hydraulic pressure, or gas pressure, and when the actuator (700) operates, the operating rod (710) pressurizes the lower plate (200), causing the lower plate (200) to move from the front to the rear along the first guide rail (100).
[0042] The lateral movement induction unit (400) according to the present invention comprises a rail mounting block (410) fixedly installed on one side of a lower plate (200), a guide rail (420) formed in an arc shape having a predetermined curvature and extended in the front-rear direction on the rail mounting block (410), a rail guide (430) coupled to the guide rail (420) and moving along the guide rail (420), and a connecting arm (440) connecting the rail guide (430) to an upper plate (300) or the rail guide (430) to a vehicle body (10) for collision testing.
[0043] The guide rail (420) is installed to extend forward and backward from the upper surface of the rail mounting block (410).
[0044] The guide rail (420) is formed in an arc shape such that one end facing forward is spaced furthest from the lower plate (200) in one direction, the other end facing backward is positioned closest to the lower plate (200), and gradually approaches the lower plate (200) from one end to the other end.
[0045] The operation of the embodiments of the present invention will be explained below.
[0046] When a collision occurs while a vehicle is in motion, the vehicle body undergoes lateral dynamic movement due to the collision, and as the passenger's movement changes in various directions due to the lateral dynamic movement of the vehicle body, the distance between the passenger and the interior components narrows, and in severe cases, the passenger comes into contact with the interior components and sustains injuries.
[0047] In order to maximize the real vehicle situation described above, the crash test device according to the present invention places a dummy (1) facing forward in the passenger safety space (11) of the vehicle body (10) for the crash test and then operates the actuator (700).
[0048] Meanwhile, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, when the actuator (700) is in an initial state before operation, the lower plate (200) is located in front of the first guide rail (100), and the upper plate (300) to which the collision test vehicle body (10) is attached is moved to the left along the second guide rail (500) and is located on the side of the rail mounting block (410) in the closest state to the rail mounting block (410).
[0049] Additionally, when the actuator (700) is in its initial state before operation, the rail guide (430) is positioned at the front end of the guide rail (420).
[0050] When the actuator (700) is operated in the aforementioned initial state, the lower plate (200) moves backward along the first guide rail (100) by the operating force of the actuator (700), and due to the backward movement of the lower plate (200), the rail guide (430) moves from the front end toward the rear end along the guide rail (420) formed in an arc shape, and due to the backward movement of the rail guide (430), the upper plate (300) moves from the left to the right along the second guide rail (500).
[0051] In this way, when the upper plate (300) moves from left to right along the second guide rail (500), the collision test vehicle body (10) combined with the upper plate (300) moves to one side along the direction in which the distance from the rail mounting block (410) increases. Through this, the collision test device according to the present invention can simultaneously implement the lateral dynamic behavior of the collision test vehicle body (10) in real time during a collision test, just as in a collision accident of an actual vehicle.
[0052] As described above, the collision test device according to the present invention is configured to simultaneously implement the lateral dynamic behavior of the collision test vehicle body (10) in real time during a collision accident, such as in a collision accident of an actual vehicle. Through this, reliable data regarding passenger safety can be secured, and furthermore, there is an advantage of being able to achieve performance improvement of restraint devices (airbags, seat belts, etc.) that affect passenger safety when developing such devices.
[0053] Although the present invention has been illustrated and described in relation to specific embodiments, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention can be modified and changed in various ways without departing from the technical spirit of the invention as provided by the following claims.
