[0003] A restroom is a space where people perform physiological activities, such as relieving themselves or washing their hands, at least once a day; it has established itself as an essential architectural structure in human society to the extent that it is installed in every building related to humans.
[0004] Furthermore, as society entered the industrial era and cities were formed, the need arose for places to relieve physiological needs outside the home, leading to the installation of public toilets available for anyone to use.
[0005] Meanwhile, restrooms, which are the most frequently used spaces among the amenities at rest areas on highways as well as on each floor of buildings, are mostly divided into men's and women's restrooms, and urinals are typically installed in men's restrooms. This is because urination is usually more frequent than defecation, and unlike toilets that require individual partitions, urinals can be installed more frequently in the same area, allowing for better space utilization and increasing the turnover rate of restroom use.
[0006] Supporting this, the number of men's toilets in public restrooms in Korea in 2020 was tallied at approximately 366,879, of which 22,000, or 60%, were men's urinals (data on the status of public restrooms in Korea by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety). Furthermore, as the number of restrooms has increased since local governments were granted autonomy regarding the installation of public restrooms starting in September 2019, the installation of men's urinals has also expanded significantly.
[0007] However, according to a public restroom user satisfaction survey conducted by the Korea Toilet Association (KTA) in 2019, 23% of the total 258 respondents reported feeling inconvenienced by restrooms that were not properly maintained or repaired.

[0009] Consequently, ventilation fans have been installed to circulate the indoor air of restrooms using a forced ventilation method as a measure to maintain the cleanliness of men's urinals; however, since the odors generated from the urinals are exhausted only after they have already contaminated the indoor air, the problem of odor generation from the urinals cannot be resolved, and there has been a problem of significantly reduced heating and cooling efficiency due to the use of the fans.
[0010] As an alternative, naphthalene deodorizers are used by hanging them above the urinal or placing them on the floor; however, not only are they unable to completely eliminate the foul odor emanating from the urinal, but naphthalene also poses problems such as environmental pollution and the release of harmful substances detrimental to the human body upon contact with urine.
[0011] In order to solve these problems, a urinal scent cleaning device has been disclosed in Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2007-0010481, which enables cleaning of the urinal by allowing water (hereinafter referred to as "cleaning water") flowing down the wall from the top of the urinal to flow down together with a scent cleaning agent.

Claim 1 A sterilization and cleaning device for a urinal comprising: a main body; a detachable means having one side fixed to the upper part of the wall of the urinal and the main body mounted on the opposite side; a cleaning means that is received in the main body and adheres to the wall of the urinal so as to allow for the mixing of components into the cleaning water flowing down the wall from the top of the urinal; and a sterilization means provided in the main body to emit ultraviolet rays throughout the urinal; wherein the detachable means comprises a plurality of vacuum pressers that are pressed against the wall of the urinal and a base plate on which the vacuum pressers are assembled on each side and the main body is mounted in the center, and the base plate comprises a crossbar for mounting the main body and fixing the position of the detachable means, and a pivot ring provided on each side of the crossbar and formed to allow left and right horizontal rotation, thereby adjusting the orientation angle of the vacuum pressers to correspond to the curvature of the wall of the urinal.
