Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a sealing device for a sprinkler head installed in a building or apartment, which sprays water to suppress a fire or inhibit the spread of fire when a fire occurs. Background Technology
[0003] A sprinkler may be part of a fire suppression system that discharges firefighting water for fire suppression by detecting heat in the event of a fire, causing the internal heat-sensitive element to be destroyed or melted, thereby releasing the seal inside the head and allowing high-pressure water (firefighting water) flowing in through the drain pipe connected to the head to be ejected to the outside.
[0004] These sprinklers can be classified into dry type and wet type based on the method of spraying fire extinguishing water or extinguishing agent.
[0005] Wet sprinklers are mainly used in general households, apartments, and commercial buildings, and may be of the type that uses a retainer ring that shrinks due to partial melting of a heat-sensitive element (e.g., fuse metal) when a fire starts, and is filled with firefighting water inside.
[0006] Meanwhile, dry sprinklers are a type in which firefighting water is discharged when a heat-sensitive element detaches due to heat; when utilized in high-rise buildings, they can prevent pipe damage and minimize the leakage of firefighting water in terms of maintenance and pipe durability.
[0007] The information described above may be provided as related art for the purpose of aiding understanding of the present disclosure. No claim or determination is made as to whether any of the foregoing may be applied as prior art in relation to the present disclosure. Prior art literature
