Abstract
An ESS fire extinguishing system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a plurality of battery racks including a plurality of battery modules and a rack housing, at least one detection unit for detecting whether an abnormal high temperature phenomenon has occurred in the battery racks, a control unit for outputting an emergency control signal including a fire extinguishing substance spraying signal and a discharge signal when the occurrence of an abnormal high temperature phenomenon is detected by the detection unit, a fire extinguishing unit for spraying a fire extinguishing substance on a battery rack among the plurality of battery racks where an abnormal high temperature phenomenon has occurred according to the emergency control signal output from the control unit, and a discharge circuit unit connected to the plurality of battery racks for discharging the remaining battery racks among the plurality of battery racks where an abnormal high temperature phenomenon has not occurred according to the emergency control signal output from the control unit.
