Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising benzotriazolildodecyl p-cresol, ethylhexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, and diethylhexyl syringylidene malonate, and can provide a cosmetic composition in which discoloration of the composition is prevented or improved. Background Technology

[0003] Water-based cosmetic compositions are formulations in which the main ingredient is water, and they are applied to various cosmetics such as essences, toners, and cleansers. While these water-based cosmetic compositions have advantages such as a refreshing feel and rapid absorption, various problems regarding stability, such as discoloration or fading of the composition, may occur due to the formulation characteristics of having a high water content and being susceptible to external environmental influences.

[0004] In particular, as consumer tastes have recently become more diverse and sophisticated, cosmetic brands emphasizing a refined image are increasingly selling colored cosmetic formulations in transparent containers that allow the contents to be clearly visible. Transparent containers have the advantage of allowing consumers to directly check the color or formulation of the contents and can present a visually clean and sophisticated image.

[0006] However, when a colored cosmetic composition is filled into a transparent container, discoloration or fading of the composition may occur due to exposure to light, temperature changes, oxidation reactions, or catalytic action by metal ions, and aesthetic appeal may be reduced. In some cases, problems such as the occurrence of off-odor or compromise of formulation stability may also occur.

[0008] Conventionally, methods involving the inclusion of various auxiliary agents or additives, such as antioxidants and chelating agents, into the composition have been utilized to address these issues. However, in some cases, there are limitations to their practical application due to potential skin irritation or regulatory restrictions specific to each country. Furthermore, most UV-absorbing components are oil-soluble, making them difficult to stabilize in water-based cosmetic compositions; additionally, water-soluble UV-absorbing components that can be stabilized have limited effectiveness in preventing the discoloration or fading of natural pigments, which frequently undergo such changes. Consequently, there is an increasing need for new technologies capable of suppressing the discoloration or fading of colored cosmetic compositions within transparent containers. Prior art literature
