Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a taping device and a taping method for a secondary battery. Background Technology

[0002] With the increasing technological development and demand for mobile devices and electric vehicles, the demand for secondary battery cells as an energy source is rapidly rising. A secondary battery cell is a battery capable of repeated charging and discharging because the interconversion between chemical and electrical energy is reversible.

[0004] Here, the cell body member forms a sealing portion by sealing the edge of the receiving portion in which the electrode assembly is received, and this sealing portion is folded in the direction of the receiving portion.

[0005] However, even if the sealing portion is folded toward the receiving portion, there is a problem in that it does not adhere completely due to spring back.

[0006] To prevent such springback, a method of attaching tape to the secondary battery cell so that the sealing portion adheres to the receiving portion can be considered; however, even in this case, there are additional problems such as the tape not being stably attached to the secondary battery cell or the tape detaching.

[0007] Therefore, in order to improve the aforementioned problems or limitations, research on battery modules became necessary. Prior art literature

[0101] That is, the shape of one side of the temporary adhesive head part (111) can be formed in a flat shape so as to uniformly form an adsorption force that adsorbs the adhesive member (3) by the negative pressure channel (111a).

[0102] In addition, the shape of one side of the temporary adhesive head (111) can be formed in a concave shape so as to maximize the area for adsorbing the adhesive member (3) by the negative pressure channel (111a).

[0104] FIG. 9 is a side view illustrating a full-support portion (120) of a taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to the present invention. Referring to the figure, the full-support portion (120) of the taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a support head portion (121) and a support cylinder portion (122).

[0105] The support head portion (121) can be attached to a part of the adhesive member (3) attached to the secondary battery cell (2) by the adsorption bonding portion (110). The support cylinder portion (122) is coupled to the support head portion (121) and can press the support head portion (121) in the direction of the secondary battery cell (2).

[0106] Accordingly, while the roller unit (200) completely adheres the adhesive member (3) to the secondary battery cell (2), the adhesive support member (120) can support the adhesive member (3). Therefore, the roller unit (200) can stably attach the adhesive member (3) to the secondary battery cell (2) and prevent the adhesive member (3) from detaching.

[0107] Here, the support cylinder portion (122) of the taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention can elastically press the support head portion (121) in the direction of the secondary battery cell (2).

[0108] Accordingly, even if the shape of the secondary battery cell (2) portion that the adhesive support member (3) presses to support the adhesive member (3) is irregular, the adhesive member (3) can be stably supported.

[0109] To this end, the support cylinder part (122) may include a support cylinder body (122a) and a support rod (122b), and the support rod (122b) may include a support inner rod (122c), a support outer rod (122d), and a support cushioning spring (122e).

[0110] Here, the support rod (122b) is coupled to the support head part (121), and the support cylinder body (122a) is connected to the support rod (122b) so that the support rod (122b) can be extended.

[0111] And, the support inner rod (122c) is coupled to one end of the support head portion (121), and the support outer rod (122d) has the other end of the support inner rod (122c) inserted into it and at least a portion of it inserted into the support cylinder body (122a), and the support cushioning spring (122e) is positioned between the support inner rod (122c) and the support outer rod (122d) and can elastically press the support inner rod (122c) outward.

[0112] In addition, the support head portion (121) of the taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a support block (121a) formed of a urethane material or a sponge material.

[0113] The material of the support head part (121) presented as described above is a material that is easy to deform and can be restored to its original shape.

[0114] Accordingly, in order to support the adhesive member (3), the shape of the secondary battery cell (2) portion that the adhesive support member (120) presses is irregular, but the adhesive member (3) can be stably supported.

[0116] FIG. 10 is a side view illustrating an embodiment in which the adhesive support portion (120) of the taping device (1) for a secondary battery of the present invention includes a plurality of support fingers (121c). Referring to the figure, the support head portion (121) of the taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a support frame (121b) and support fingers (121c).

[0117] The support frame (121b) can be coupled to the support cylinder part (122). A plurality of support fingers (121c) are provided on the support frame (121b) and can be elastically pressed outward.

[0118] That is, by including a support head part (121) and a support frame (121b) and a support finger (121c), the adhesive member (3) can be stably supported even if the shape of the secondary battery cell (2) portion that the adhesive support part (120) presses to support the adhesive member (3) is irregular, and the adhesive member (3) can be adhered to the secondary battery cell (2).

[0119] For example, if the part supported by the above-mentioned adhesive support member (120) is a part of the adhesive member (3) that is temporarily attached to the folded sealing part (2b) of the secondary battery cell (2), the part supported by the above-mentioned adhesive support member (120) has an asymmetrical shape. In this case, the support finger (121c) that presses against the sealing part (2b) protrudes relatively short to support the adhesive member (3), and the support finger (121c) that presses against the side of the receiving part (2a) adjacent to the sealing part (2b) protrudes relatively long to support the adhesive member (3).

[0120] Specifically, the support finger (121c) may include a finger inner tab (121d), a finger outer tab (121e), and a finger spring (121f).

[0121] One end of the finger inner tab (121d) is in direct contact with the adhesive member (3), and can support the adhesive member (3) by pressing it in the direction of the secondary battery cell (2). The other end of the finger inner tab (121d) is inserted into one end of the finger outer tab (121e), and the other end can be coupled to the support frame (121b). The finger spring (121f) is positioned between the finger inner tab (121d) and the finger outer tab (121e) and can elastically press the finger inner tab (121d) outward.

[0123] FIG. 11 is a plan view illustrating an embodiment in which a support unit (100) of a taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to the present invention includes an adsorption support member (130). Referring to the figure, the support unit (100) of the taping device (1) for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an adsorption support member (130).

[0124] The above adsorption support member (130) adsorbs the adhesive member (3) and moves it toward the secondary battery cell (2), and while the roller unit (200) presses the adhesive member (3) against the secondary battery cell (2), it can press a part of the adhesive member (3) toward the secondary battery cell (2) to support it in a state where it is adhered to the secondary battery cell (2).

[0125] That is, the support unit (100) may implement the temporary bonding of the adhesive member (3) by the aforementioned adsorption temporary bonding part (110) and the support of the adhesive member (3) by the aforementioned full bonding support part (120) in two configurations, but may also implement the two configurations in one configuration by the adsorption support part (130).

[0126] To this end, the adsorption support member (130) may have a channel formed to create negative pressure similar to the adhesive head member (111) of the adsorption adhesive member (110) described above, so as to grip the adhesive member (3) and attach a portion of the adhesive member (3) to the secondary battery cell (2), and may also support the adhesive member (3) gripped by negative pressure in the direction of the secondary battery cell (2) while the adhesive member (3) is attached to the secondary battery cell (2) by the roller unit (200).

[0128] The taping method for a secondary battery according to the present invention is described below. Here, the description of the taping method for a secondary battery according to the present invention is omitted in parts that overlap with the taping device for a secondary battery according to the present invention described above.

[0130] FIG. 12 is a flowchart illustrating a taping method for a secondary battery according to the present invention. Referring to the figure, a taping method for a secondary battery according to another embodiment of the present invention may include a support step and an adhesive step so that an adhesive member (3) provided as a cut sheet is adhered to a secondary battery cell (2).

[0131] Here, the support step supports a portion of the adhesive member (3). The adhesive step then adheres the adhesive member (3), with the portion supported, to the receiving portion (2a) and the sealing portion (2b).

[0132] In other words, the taping method for a secondary battery according to the present invention allows the adhesive member (3) to be supported by the support step and adhered during the adhesion step when it is adhered to the secondary battery cell (2).

[0133] Accordingly, the taping method for a secondary battery according to the present invention allows the adhesive member (3) to be stably attached to the secondary battery cell (2) and prevents the problem of the adhesive member (3) detaching.

[0135] In addition, the specific steps of the above support step may be configured differently depending on whether the secondary battery cell (2) is moved and fully bonded after the adhesive member (3) is temporarily bonded.

[0136] That is, in the case where the secondary battery cell (2) is moved and fully bonded after the adhesive member (3) is temporarily bonded in the above support step, the above support step may be configured to include an adsorption step, a temporary bonding step, a cell moving step, and a pressurizing step.

[0137] Here, the adsorption step is a step of adsorbing the adhesive member (3), and the temporary bonding step is a step of moving the adhesive member (3) toward the secondary battery cell (2) to bond a part of the adhesive member (3) to the secondary battery cell (2). The cell movement step is a step of moving the secondary battery cell (2) to a position where the roller unit (200) performing the bonding step is positioned, and the pressing step is a step of pressing a part of the adhesive member (3) attached to the secondary battery cell (2) toward the secondary battery cell (2).

[0138] Meanwhile, in the case where the adhesive member (3) is partially attached to the secondary battery cell (2) during the support step, the support step may be configured to include an adsorption step and a pressurization step.

[0139] Here, the adsorption step is a step of adsorbing the adhesive member (3), and the pressurizing step is a step of moving the adhesive member (3) toward the secondary battery cell (2) to adhere a part of the adhesive member (3) to the secondary battery cell (2) while simultaneously applying pressure toward the secondary battery cell (2).

[0141] In addition, the adhesive step may be configured differently depending on where the adhesive member (3) is supported in the support step.

[0142] That is, in the case where the adhesive member (3) is supported in the sealing part (2b) during the support step, the adhesive step may be configured to include a multi-adhesion step.

[0143] Here, the multi-adhesion step is a step of attaching the adhesive member (3) supported in the sealing portion (2b) to each of the two sides of the receiving portion (2a).

[0144] Meanwhile, in the case where the adhesive member (3) is supported in the receiving portion (2a) during the support step, the adhesive step may be configured to include a single adhesive step.

[0145] Here, the single adhesive step is a step of sequentially adhesively bonding the adhesive member (3), which is supported on one side of the receiving portion (2a), to the sealing portion (2b) and the other side of the receiving portion (2a).

[0147] Although embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations are possible within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention as described in the claims.
