Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function, and more specifically, to a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function that increases the durability of high-voltage and high-current terminals and prevents fire caused by overheating by inducing and dispersing heat from the terminal by contacting, connecting, or placing heat dissipation ribs capable of heat transfer to a terminal connected to a counterpart terminal as a conductor. Background Technology
[0002] Generally, electric vehicles are equipped with a battery, which serves as a power source to drive the motor, and self-charge the battery by utilizing internal vehicle power with electrical energy.
[0003] Recently, research has been continuously conducted on improved electric vehicle battery charging systems that can increase charging efficiency by efficiently checking the charge status of the battery installed in the electric vehicle. These electric vehicles can charge the battery by connecting an outlet charging connector connected to the power source to an inlet charging connector installed in the vehicle.
[0004] In particular, the inlet charging connector is provided with a cover portion on the front side connecting to the outlet charging connector. At this time, the cover portion is rotatably provided on one side of the front of the inlet charging connector.
[0005] Furthermore, a typical inlet charging connector is secured by a housing made of synthetic resin material fixed to the vehicle body. Since this synthetic resin housing is not electrically conductive, it can be grounded by electrically connecting a shielding mesh to the vehicle body via a separate busbar. Therefore, such an inlet charging connector requires a structure that secures the shielding mesh to surround the high-voltage cable while simultaneously electrically connecting it to a busbar to ground it to the vehicle body.
[0006] In particular, ultra-fast chargers capable of supplying up to 400kW are currently being released in North America, and ultra-fast chargers capable of supplying up to 600kW are scheduled to be released, further increasing the current delivery requirements of charging cables.
[0007] Related technology is disclosed in Korean Registered Patent Publication No. 10-2183175 (Title of Invention: Charging Inlet Equipped with Interlocking Cover).
[0008] The technical configuration described above is provided as background technology to aid in understanding the present invention and does not constitute prior art widely known in the technical field to which the present invention belongs. The problem to be solved
[0009] High current during charging causes excessive heat generation in the inlet charging connector and power terminal, which leads to reduced durability and increased fire risk due to thermal stress.
[0010] Therefore, there is a need to improve this.
[0011] The present invention was devised to improve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function that increases the durability of high-voltage and high-current terminals and prevents fire caused by overheating by inducing and dispersing heat from the terminal by contacting, connecting, or placing heat dissipation ribs capable of heat transfer to the terminal connected to the counterpart terminal as a conductor. means of solving the problem
[0012] A vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to the present invention comprises: a front housing having one or more installation holes open on both sides; a terminal inserted into the installation hole corresponding to one side from the other side of the front housing, which is a conductor and has a wire connected thereto; a cover that supports the terminal or the corresponding terminal by inserting the wire connected to the terminal; and a heat dissipation member that guides the heat generated from the terminal to be dissipated.
[0013] A vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to the present invention comprises: a rear holder provided on the other side of the front housing, which wraps around and fixes the terminal and the cover exposed to the other side of the front housing and has an open hole to guide the external extraction of the wire; a one-sided seal member provided to block the inflow of foreign matter through the installation hole into which the terminal is inserted; and a other-sided seal member provided to block the inflow of foreign matter through the open hole into which the wire is inserted.
[0014] The above-mentioned heat dissipation member includes a heat dissipation rib, one side of which is positioned in contact with or adjacent to the corresponding terminal and is made of a thermally conductive material to disperse heat from the terminal by conducting it.
[0015] The above-mentioned heat dissipation rib is characterized by being formed as a solid or hollow bar type.
[0016] The above heat dissipation member includes a support hole portion formed with through holes on both sides of the cover to support the heat dissipation rib by axially inserting it.
[0017] The above heat dissipation portion includes a heat dissipation space portion formed in the rear holder to accommodate the other side of the heat dissipation rib that has passed through the support hole portion and to provide a space for heat dissipation. Effects of the invention
[0018] As explained above, unlike conventional technology, the vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to the present invention can increase the durability of high-voltage and high-current terminals and prevent fire caused by overheating by inducing and dispersing heat from the terminal by contacting, connecting, or placing heat dissipation ribs capable of heat transfer to the terminal connected to the counterpart terminal as a conductor. [0021] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the front housing of a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to one embodiment of the present invention separated.
[0022] FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view with the rear holder and terminal separated of a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a rear exploded perspective view with the rear holder and terminal separated of a vehicle connection connector having a heat dissipation function according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0023] Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view along line AA of Figure 1, and Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view along line BB of Figure 1.
[0024] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, a vehicle connection connector (100) having a heat dissipation function according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a front housing (110), a terminal (120), a cover (130), a rear holder (140), a one-sided seal member (150), a other-sided seal member (160), and a heat dissipation part (170).
[0025] The front housing (110) forms one side, particularly the front side, of the vehicle connection connector (100) having a thermal function according to the present invention.
[0026] At this time, for convenience, the vehicle connection connector (100) according to the present invention is illustrated as an inlet charging connector. Accordingly, the front housing (110) serves to fix the position of the connection connector (100) by being fixedly coupled to the vehicle body.
[0027] Of course, the front housing (110) is made of an insulating material and can be modified into various shapes.
[0028] In addition, the front housing (110) has one or more installation holes (112) that are open on both sides.
[0029] And, the terminal (120) is inserted into an installation hole (112) corresponding to one side from the other side of the front housing (110).
[0030] At this time, since the terminal (120) is composed of a positive terminal and a negative terminal, the front housing (110) is formed with two installation holes (112) to insert the terminal (120) corresponding to the positive terminal and the terminal (120) corresponding to the negative terminal one-to-one.
[0031] Each terminal (120) is made of a conductor and connects a wire (122). If the connection connector (100) is an inlet charging connector, the wire (122) is connected to a battery inside the vehicle.
[0032] Of course, the terminal (120) can be modified into various shapes and can be formed to prevent it from being ejected to one side after being inserted into the installation hole (112) of the front housing (110).
[0033] Additionally, the cover (130) serves to support the terminal (120) or the corresponding terminal (120) by inserting a wire (122) connected to the terminal (120).
[0034] In particular, the cover (130) is fixedly installed on the inner side of the rear holder (140) and supports the terminal (120) or the wire (122) connected from each of the terminals (120) by inserting it axially, so that each of the terminals (120) can maintain a horizontal state with respect to the inner bottom surface of the rear holder (140).
[0035] At this time, the cover (130) is made of an insulating material and can be formed in various shapes.
[0036] Meanwhile, the rear holder (140) is provided on the other side of the front housing (110) and wraps around and secures the terminal (120) and cover (130) exposed to the other side of the front housing (110), and has an opening hole (142) through it to guide the external extraction of the wire (122). The opening hole (142) is formed with a minimum size (diameter) so that each wire (122) can be inserted axially.
[0037] At this time, the cover (130) may be simply fitted into the inner side of the rear holder (140) or may be detachably coupled to the rear holder (140). In addition, the rear holder (140) may be detachably coupled to the front housing (110) in various ways.
[0038] In particular, the rear holder (140) is made of an insulating material and can be deformed into various shapes.
[0039] And, a one-sided seal member (150) is provided to block the inflow of foreign matter through the installation hole (112) into which the terminal (120) is inserted.
[0040] In detail, each terminal (120) is axially inserted into a corresponding one-sided seal member (150), and the one-sided seal member (150) is forcibly inserted into a corresponding installation hole (112).
[0041] At this time, the one-sided seal member (150) is made of various materials capable of elastic deformation and blocks the occurrence of a gap inside the installation hole (112). Of course, the one-sided seal member (150) can be deformed into various shapes.
[0042] In addition, the other seal member (160) is provided to block the inflow of foreign matter through the open hole (142) into which the wire (122) is inserted.
[0043] In detail, each wire (122) is axially inserted into the other seal member (160), and the other seal member (160) is forcibly inserted into the corresponding open hole (142).
[0044] In particular, the other seal member (160) is made of various elastically deformable materials to prevent a gap from forming inside the open hole (142). The other seal member (160) can be deformed into various shapes.
[0045] Meanwhile, the heat dissipation unit (170) guides the heat generated at the terminal (120).
[0046] For example, the heat dissipation portion (170) may include a heat dissipation rib (172), a support hole portion (174), and a heat dissipation space portion (176).
[0047] One side of the heat dissipation rib (172) is positioned in contact with or adjacent to the corresponding terminal (120) and is made of a heat-conducting material, serving to disperse heat from the terminal (120) by conducting it.
[0048] At this time, the heat dissipation rib (172) can be formed as a solid or hollow bar type.
[0049] In particular, when the heat dissipation rib (172) is made of a tube type, the heat generated at the terminal (120) is not only conducted and dispersed along the heat dissipation rib (172) but is also convected and dispersed along the holes inside the heat dissipation rib (172), thereby improving the heat dissipation efficiency.
[0050] Of course, the heat dissipation rib (172) can be modified into various shapes.
[0051] In addition, the support hole (174) is formed as a through hole on both sides of the cover (130) to support the heat dissipation rib (172) by inserting it axially.
[0052] The heat dissipation rib (172) is axially inserted into the support hole (174) and supported, thereby fixing its position and allowing it to maintain contact with or proximity to the corresponding terminal (120).
[0053] Of course, one side of the heat dissipation rib (172) may be manufactured integrally with the terminal (120).
[0054] And, by axially inserting a heat-transmitting heat dissipation rib (172) into the support hole (174), the cover (130) is made of a heat-resistant material.
[0055] The heat dissipation space (176) is a space formed in the rear holder (140) to accommodate the other side of the heat dissipation rib (172) that has passed through the support hole (174) and to provide a space for heat dissipation.
[0056] Alternatively, the heat dissipation space (176) is formed in the shape of a tube in the rear holder (140) to accommodate the other side of the heat dissipation rib (172) that has passed through the support hole (174).
[0057] Accordingly, the heat dissipation rib (172) is positioned at the other end in the heat dissipation space (176) formed inside the rear holder (140), so that the heat of the terminal (120) is dispersed inside the connection connector (100). In addition, the rear holder (140) can be formed to exchange heat from the heat dissipation space (176) with the outside.
[0058] As a result, the connection connector (100) according to the present invention induces heat conduction and heat dissipation of the terminal (120) through a heat dissipation rib (172) that extends to the heat dissipation space (176) inside the rear holder (140) while in contact with or close to the terminal (120), and guides the heat to be discharged to the outside, thereby preventing the internal from deteriorating or overheating and causing a fire.
[0059] Although the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings, this is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible therefrom. Accordingly, the true technical scope of protection of the present invention should be determined by the claims below. Explanation of the symbols
