Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a charging device for rapid charging of electric vehicles with improved cooling performance and a method for manufacturing the same. [0002] With the proliferation of electric vehicles, the installation of electric vehicle chargers is expanding. Additionally, fast chargers capable of rapid charging are being introduced to enable charging within a short period of time. Unlike slow charging, the output voltage of fast chargers for rapid charging ranges from 50V to 450V DC, and the output current reaches 110A; the time required to charge an electric vehicle using such a fast charger is only about 20 to 30 minutes. The output current of fast chargers is expected to increase depending on the battery capacity and charging technology of electric vehicles.
[0003] In this fast charger, an electric vehicle charging cable is connected to the main body, and a charger connector is mounted on the end of the charging cable. [0080] The refrigerant supply line (22) is a line for introducing refrigerant, and the refrigerant recovery line (24) is a line for recovering the introduced refrigerant. The refrigerant transit line (26) can connect one end of the refrigerant supply line (22) and one end of the refrigerant recovery line (24). That is, the refrigerant that has passed through the refrigerant supply line (22) can move to the refrigerant recovery line (24) via the refrigerant transit line (26).
[0081] The refrigerant flow line (20) can be embedded in a hollow structure formed inside the power supply line (10), at least a portion of which is embedded in the hollow structure formed inside the power supply line (10), thereby allowing the power supply line (10) to be cooled more effectively.
[0082] That is, at least a portion of the refrigerant flow line (20) can be formed to penetrate the center of the first power supply line (10a) and the second power supply line (10b), respectively.

In the case of this embodiment, the refrigerant flow line (20) embedded in the first power supply line (10a) is the refrigerant supply line (22), and the refrigerant flow line (20) embedded in the second power supply line (10b) is the refrigerant recovery line (24).
[0084] However, the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto, and the refrigerant flow line (20) embedded in the first power supply line (10a) may be a refrigerant recovery line (24), and the refrigerant flow line (20) embedded in the second power supply line (10b) may be a refrigerant supply line (22).
[0085] The refrigerant transit line (26) may be provided inside the connector case (42). More specifically, the refrigerant transit line (26) may have a structure that connects the first power supply line connection part (441a) and the second power supply line connection part (441b).
[0086] The refrigerant transit line (26) may include a first refrigerant transit line (261) formed in the internal space of the first power supply line connection part (441a), a second refrigerant transit line (263) formed in the internal space of the second power supply line connection part (441b), and a third refrigerant transit line (265) formed in the internal space of the connector case (42).
[0087] The first refrigerant line (261) can be formed in the internal space formed between the end of the first power supply line (10a) and the other end of the first power supply line connection part (441a) inside the first power supply line connection part (441a).
[0088] The second refrigerant line (263) can be formed in the internal space formed at the end of the second power supply line (10b) and the other end of the second power supply line connection part (441b) inside the second power supply line connection part (441b).
[0089] The third refrigerant line (265) can be formed in the internal space formed between the first power supply line connection part (441a) and the second power supply line connection part (441b).
[0090] In one embodiment, the refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant supply line (22) can be recovered by sequentially flowing through the first refrigerant transit line (261), the third refrigerant transit line (265), and the second refrigerant transit line (263) in this order to the refrigerant recovery line (24).
[0091] Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the refrigerant supplied to the refrigerant supply line (22) through the refrigerant supply pipe (541) can flow through the refrigerant supply line (22) and then flow in the order of the first refrigerant transit line (261), the third refrigerant transit line (265), and the second refrigerant transit line (263). After flowing through the second refrigerant transit line (263), the refrigerant can be recovered through the refrigerant recovery line (24).
[0092] However, the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto, and if a refrigerant recovery line (24) is formed inside the first power supply line (10a) and a refrigerant supply line (22) is formed inside the second power supply line (10b), the refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant supply line (22) may flow sequentially through the second refrigerant transit line (263), the third refrigerant transit line (265), and the first refrigerant transit line (261) to be recovered into the refrigerant recovery line (24).
[0093] Referring to FIGS. 4 to 7, the charging device (1) for rapid charging of an electric vehicle according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention may further include a short circuit prevention part (30).

[0095] That is, the short-circuit prevention part (30) is formed to have a hollow structure inside, and the third refrigerant transit line (265) can be embedded inside the short-circuit prevention part (30).
[0096] As the short circuit prevention part (30) is placed on the third refrigerant transit line (265), it can prevent a short circuit caused by the refrigerant leaking out of the connector case (42).
[0097] In one embodiment, the short-circuit prevention member (30) may include at least one selected from the group consisting of PFA (perfluoroalkoxy), FEP (fluorinated ethylene), PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), high heat-resistant plastic, nylon, silicone, and urethane.

[0099] Accordingly, the short-circuit prevention unit (30) may necessarily include the above-mentioned PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone). Since the short-circuit prevention unit (30) includes the above-mentioned PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), it can maintain an insulation function even in the cryogenic state of the refrigerant.
[0100] The power supply terminal (443) is coupled to the other side opposite to one side of the connector case (42) and can transmit power supplied from the power supply line (10) to the electric vehicle. The power supply terminal (443) may be provided to correspond to the charging terminal of the electric vehicle so as to be insertable into the charging terminal of the electric vehicle.
