Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a computing device and method for monitoring pipe integrity, and specifically to a computing device and method for monitoring the integrity of pipes buried underground. Background Technology
[0002] In today's industries, piping is utilized as various types of pipe systems for purposes such as transporting raw materials or products. Piping systems are standardized and materials are determined according to their application, and the fluids flowing through them are also diverse. Furthermore, various additional equipment, such as rectifiers or PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), may be required to maintain piping systems.
[0003] For example, there are oil pipelines transporting petroleum products such as crude oil, gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and aviation fuel over sections of tens or hundreds of kilometers, as well as piping within nuclear power plants that transports raw materials or coolants. The most common requirement for such piping systems is that the fluid flowing inside must not leak to the outside and must flow losslessly along the enclosed internal space to a target destination.
[0004] Conventionally, there exists a technology for determining the abnormal condition of the piping by comparing the waveform of the current or voltage flowing along the pipe wall with a reference waveform. However, there is a need for a monitoring method that enhances precision by considering the electrical modeling of various additional equipment required to maintain the piping system.

[0032] In the present disclosure, a computing device can monitor pipe integrity. Pipe integrity may indicate whether there are sections of pipe with damage or sections with damaged coatings. The computing device may determine whether the pipe is damaged based on whether a cathodic protection current is being properly applied to prevent pipe corrosion. Alternatively, the computing device may determine whether the coating is damaged based on whether there is an inflow of AC (Alternating Current).
[0033] Meanwhile, if soil acidity (pH) changes due to rain or seasonal changes, or if AC current inflow is present due to events in the surrounding ground such as subway line construction, the reference point for checking the abnormal condition of the piping becomes different. To resolve this, the computing device according to the present disclosure can determine a normal section or a piping section expected to be in an abnormal state by tracking and clustering time-series data. Furthermore, the computing device can determine the integrity of the piping based on the condition of the determined piping section. Hereinafter, a method for the computing device according to the present disclosure to monitor the integrity of the piping will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 8.
[0034] FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating an example of a computing device according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0035] Referring to FIG. 1, the computing device (100) may include a judgment unit (110), a storage unit (120), a communication unit (130), a setting unit (140), an adjustment unit (150), a frequency detection unit (160), a clustering unit (170), and a monitoring unit (180). However, the above-described components are not essential for implementing the computing device (100), so the computing device (100) may have more or fewer components than those listed above.
[0036] The computing device (100) may include any type of computer system or computer device, such as, for example, a microprocessor, a mainframe computer, a digital processor, a portable device, or a device controller.
[0037] A computing device (100) may achieve desired system performance by using a combination of typical computer hardware (e.g., a device that may include a computer processor, memory, storage, input device and output device, and other components of a conventional computing device; electronic communication devices such as routers and switches; and electronic information storage systems such as network-attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN)) and computer software (i.e., instructions that cause the computing device to function in a specific way).
[0038] The judgment unit (110) can typically handle the overall operation of the computing device (100). The judgment unit (110) can provide or process appropriate information or functions to the user by processing signals, data, information, etc. that are input or output through the components of the computing device (100) or by running an application program stored in the storage unit (120).
[0039] The judgment unit (110) may be composed of one or more cores and may include a processor for data analysis such as a Central Processing Unit (CPU), a General Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU), or a Tensor Processing Unit (TPU).
[0040] In the present disclosure, the judgment unit (110) can determine the integrity of the pipe.
[0041] Specifically, the judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section corresponding to each of the plurality of terminals based on the target method current density and reference value.
[0042] Target cathodic protection current density can be received from each of the multiple terminals through the communication unit (130). Cathodic protection current density is a value representing the amount of current artificially flowed from the outside to prevent corrosion of the pipes per unit area. Target cathodic protection current density can be understood as the cathodic protection current density measured for a target pipe to monitor pipe integrity.
[0043] Multiple terminals may be equipment attached to or connected to a pipe to sense various data. Multiple terminals can sense cathodic protection potential, AC current, soil acidity (pH), soil electrical conductivity (EC), soil temperature, and soil humidity.
[0044] Multiple terminals can determine the cathodic protection current density by measuring the current flowing between the pipe and the test piece.
[0045] The reference value may be a value representing the normal cathodic protection current density. The reference value may be determined by the setting unit (140). The normal cathodic protection current density may be a value representing the cathodic protection current density when the cathodic protection current flowing through the pipe is normal.
[0046] The target piping section may be a section that serves as a target for assessing piping integrity.
[0047] The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section corresponding to each of the plurality of terminals based on the target method current density and reference value received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point after a first time point.
[0048] Specifically, the communication unit (130) may receive soil information at a first time point that is pre-set from each of the plurality of terminals. The soil information may include soil acidity (pH), soil electrical conductivity (EC), soil temperature, and soil humidity. The first time point may be a time point determined according to a first setting message received by the plurality of terminals from the communication unit (130). The first setting message may be a message that schedules a first reporting period of sensing data by the plurality of terminals. The first setting message may include a measurement duration and a measurement period that cause measurement to continue at a designated time. When the communication unit (130) receives an initial reporting message from a pre-designated terminal among the plurality of terminals, it may transmit a first setting message that schedules a first reporting period of sensing data by the plurality of terminals to the plurality of terminals. The initial reporting message may be a message received as the plurality of terminals are installed in the pipe. The sensing data may include the cathodic protection potential, AC current, soil acidity (pH), soil electrical conductivity (EC), soil temperature, and soil humidity. Accordingly, the communication unit (130) can receive soil information from a plurality of terminals at a first time point. Based on the soil information received at the first time point, the setting unit (140) can calculate a reference value of the normal cathodic protection current density at the first time point corresponding to the entire piping section where the plurality of terminals are arranged. The setting unit (140) can determine the reference value of the normal cathodic protection current density as shown in Table 1 below.
[0049] environment Reference value (mA / m 2 ) Dry neutral soil 4.2 - 16.1 dry and well-ventilated soil 5.4 - 16.1 moist soil 26.9 - 64.6 Highly acidic soil 53.8 - 16.4
[0050] For example, if the setting unit (140) determines, based on soil information, that the entire piping section where a plurality of terminals are placed is dry neutral soil, the reference value of the entire piping section is 4.2 - 16.1 mA / m 2It can be determined as follows. As another example, the setting unit (140) may determine, based on soil information, that among the entire pipe section where a plurality of terminals are placed, the first pipe section where the first terminal is placed is dry neutral soil, and the second pipe section where the second terminal is placed is dry and well-ventilated soil. In this case, the setting unit (140) determines that the reference value of the first pipe section is 4.2 - 16.1 mA / m 2 It was determined as such, and the standard value for the second piping section is 5.4 - 16.1 mA / m 2 It can be decided that...
[0051] As another example, the setting unit (140) may determine, based on soil information, that among the entire pipe section where a plurality of terminals are placed, the first pipe section where the first terminal is placed is wet soil, and the second pipe section where the second terminal is placed is highly acidic soil. In this case, the setting unit (140) may determine that the reference value of the first pipe section is 26.9 - 64.6 mA / m 2 It was determined as such, and the standard value for the second piping section is 53.8 - 16.4 mA / m 2 It can be decided that...
[0052] The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of a target pipe section corresponding to each of the plurality of terminals based on the target method current density received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point after a first time point and the reference value determined by the setting unit (140). The target pipe section may be a target section for which pipe integrity is to be determined.
[0053] For example, each of the multiple terminals may have its own pipe section, with at least a portion overlapping or not overlapping. Assuming that the entire pipe section exists and multiple terminals are arranged sequentially in the entire pipe section, the first terminal among the multiple terminals may perform sensing on the first pipe section. When the judgment unit (110) intends to determine the pipe integrity of the first pipe section, the target pipe section may be the first pipe section. When the judgment unit (110) intends to determine the pipe integrity of the second pipe section, the target pipe section may be the second pipe section. When the judgment unit (110) intends to determine the pipe integrity of each of the entire pipe sections, the target pipe section may be each pipe section sensed by each of the multiple terminals.
[0054] The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section as an interference section if the target method current density of the target pipe section does not fall within the reference value. The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section as a normal section if the target method current density of the target pipe section falls within the reference value.
[0055] The storage unit (120) may include memory and / or a permanent storage medium. The memory may include at least one type of storage medium among a flash memory type, a hard disk type, a multimedia card micro type, a card type memory (e.g., SD or XD memory, etc.), RAM (Random Access Memory), SRAM (Static Random Access Memory), ROM (Read-Only Memory), EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), PROM (Programmable Read-Only Memory), magnetic memory, a magnetic disk, and an optical disk.
[0056] In the present disclosure, the storage unit (120) may store sensing data received from a plurality of terminals, a reference value calculated by the setting unit (140), and pipe integrity for the entire pipe section.
[0057] The communication unit (130) may include one or more modules that enable communication between the computing device (100) and a communication system, between the computing device (100) and a plurality of terminals, between the computing device (100) and a user terminal, or between the computing device (100) and a network.
[0058] In the present disclosure, the communication unit (130) may receive an initial report message from a pre-designated terminal among a plurality of terminals. When the initial report message is received, the communication unit (130) may transmit a first setting message to the plurality of terminals for scheduling a first reporting period of sensing data by the plurality of terminals.
[0059] The judgment unit (110) can determine whether the pipe is damaged based on whether the cathodic protection current to prevent pipe corrosion is being properly applied, etc. Alternatively, the computing device can determine whether the coating is damaged based on whether there is an inflow of AC current, etc. However, the reference value for determining pipe integrity differs when the acidity (pH) of the soil changes due to rain or seasonal changes, or when there is an inflow of AC current due to events in the surrounding ground such as subway line construction. Accordingly, the communication unit (130) can obtain sensing data sensed at the same time by transmitting a first setting message that schedules a first reporting cycle to a plurality of terminals.
[0060] The setting unit (140) can calculate a reference value of the normal method current density at the first time point corresponding to the entire piping section in which the plurality of terminals are arranged, based on soil information received from each of the plurality of terminals at the first time point.
[0061] Specifically, the communication unit (130) can receive soil information from each of the plurality of terminals at a first time point. The setting unit (140) can calculate a reference value of the normal method current density at the first time point based on the soil information. The first time point may be a time point determined according to the first reporting period.
[0062] The adjustment unit (150) can adjust the detection level to derive each frequency component included in the current signal received from the plurality of terminals using the DC voltage level and AC voltage level received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point.
[0063] Specifically, the communication unit (130) can receive a DC voltage level and an AC voltage level from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point. The second time point may be a time point after the first time point. The second time point may be any time point after the first time point.
[0064] A DC voltage level can represent a fixed voltage value that does not change over time. An AC voltage level can represent a voltage value with amplitude and frequency that change periodically over time.
[0065] Frequency components can be understood as signal elements having frequencies included within a current signal. Frequency components may include low-frequency components, high-frequency components, and multiple frequencies. The detection level can be understood as a reference value for deriving frequency components.
[0066] The adjustment unit (150) can cause the frequency detection unit (160) to extract frequency components from the current signal by adjusting the detection level.
[0067] The frequency detection unit (160) can extract at least one frequency component included in the current signal for the target pipe section by removing an offset signal determined according to the detection level from the current signal. The offset signal can be understood as a signal component representing a constant voltage difference from the voltage according to the detection level. The frequency detection unit (160) can extract at least one frequency component by removing an offset signal determined according to the detection level from the current signal.
[0068] The clustering unit (170) can divide each target pipe section corresponding to a plurality of terminals into a first pipe group and a second pipe group, respectively.
[0069] Specifically, the clustering unit (170) can determine whether the current signal sensed at each of the plurality of terminals contains a frequency component greater than or equal to the threshold frequency. Based on whether the current signal contains a frequency component greater than or equal to the threshold frequency, the clustering unit (170) can divide each target pipe section corresponding to the plurality of terminals into a first pipe group or a second pipe group.
[0070] For example, the clustering unit (170) may determine a target pipe section containing frequency components above a threshold frequency as a first pipe group. The clustering unit (170) may determine a target pipe section containing frequency components below a threshold frequency as a second pipe group. The threshold frequency may represent a preset frequency. The threshold frequency may be a value for classifying harmonic components. The threshold frequency may be 60Hz, 120Hz, or 180Hz, etc.
[0071] The clustering unit (170) can group each target pipe section into multiple clusters based on the cathodic protection current density analysis results, cathodic protection potential analysis results, and alternating current analysis results for each of the first pipe group and the second pipe group.
[0072] The cathodic protection current density analysis result may be the result of analyzing the cathodic protection current density for each of the entire pipe sections determined by the judgment unit (110). The cathodic protection current density analysis result may include the average value of the cathodic protection current density and the standard deviation value of the cathodic protection current density for each of the entire pipe sections.
[0073] The cathodic protection potential analysis result may be the result of analyzing the cathodic protection potential for each of the entire piping sections determined by the judgment unit (110). The cathodic protection potential analysis result may include an average cathodic protection potential value, a standard deviation value of the cathodic protection potential, and a cathodic protection potential range for each of the entire piping sections.
[0074] The AC current analysis result may be the result of analyzing the AC current for each of the entire pipe sections determined by the judgment unit (110). The AC current analysis result may include the average AC value and the AC current standard deviation value for each of the multiple pipe sections.
[0075] The clustering unit (170) can group each target pipe section into multiple clusters based on the cathodic protection current density analysis results, cathodic protection potential analysis results, and alternating current analysis results for each of the first pipe group and the second pipe group.
[0076] For example, the clustering unit (170) can group each pipe section into a first cluster to a fourth cluster, etc.
[0077] The monitoring unit (180) can perform monitoring for each of the multiple clusters. The monitoring unit (180) can perform monitoring for each of the multiple clusters and obtain time-series data for each of the multiple clusters.
[0078] Below, a method for a computing device (100) to monitor pipe integrity is described.
[0079] FIG. 2 is a flowchart illustrating an example of a method for a computing device to monitor pipe integrity according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0080] Referring to FIG. 2, when the communication unit (130) of the computing device (100) receives an initial report message from a terminal designated among a plurality of terminals, it can transmit a first setting message to the plurality of terminals for scheduling a first report period of sensing data by the plurality of terminals (S110).
[0081] Specifically, the communication unit (130) may receive an initial report message from a pre-designated terminal among a plurality of terminals. The pre-designated terminal may be any one of the plurality of terminals. The initial report message may be a message received as the plurality of terminals are installed in the pipe. The communication unit (130) may transmit a first setting message to the plurality of terminals for scheduling a first reporting period of sensing data by the plurality of terminals. Accordingly, the plurality of terminals may transmit sensing data to the communication unit (130) based on the first reporting period.
[0082] The setting unit (140) can calculate a reference value of the normal current density at the first time point corresponding to the entire piping section in which the plurality of terminals are arranged, based on soil information received from each of the plurality of terminals at the first time point (S120).
[0083] Specifically, the communication unit (130) may receive soil information from each of the plurality of terminals at a first time point. The soil information may include soil acidity (pH), soil electrical conductivity (EC), soil temperature, and soil humidity. The first time point may be a time point determined according to a first setting message received by the plurality of terminals from the communication unit (130). The setting unit (140) may calculate a reference value of normal current density at the first time point corresponding to the entire piping section where the plurality of terminals are placed, based on the soil information received at the first time point. As described in Table 1 above, the setting unit (140) may determine the reference value of normal current density.
[0084] The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section corresponding to each of the plurality of terminals based on the target method current density and reference value received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point after the first time point (S130).
[0085] Specifically, the communication unit (130) can receive a target method current density from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point. The second time point may be a time point after the first time point. The judgment unit (110) can compare the reference values of the target method current density and the normal method current density. Based on the comparison result, the judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section corresponding to each of the plurality of terminals.
[0086] For example, the judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section as an interference section if the target method current density of the target pipe section does not fall within the reference value. The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section as a normal section if the target method current density of the target pipe section falls within the reference value.
[0087] According to the above configuration, the computing device (100) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section at a second time point based on a reference value of the normal method current density at a first time point.
[0088] In cases where the soil acidity (pH) changes due to rain or seasonal changes, or where there is an inflow of AC current due to events in the surrounding ground such as subway line construction, the reference value for determining pipe integrity becomes different. Accordingly, the computing device (100) can determine the reference value by obtaining the normal current density at the same first time point from multiple terminals. Then, the computing device (100) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section at a second time point based on the determined reference value.
[0089] FIG. 3 is a drawing for explaining an example in which sensing data is received from a plurality of terminals according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0090] In FIG. 3, TB can be understood as a terminal. TB1 may represent a first terminal among a plurality of terminals, and TB2 may represent a second terminal among a plurality of terminals. TB3 may represent a third terminal among a plurality of terminals.
[0091] Referring to FIG. 3, each of the multiple terminals can transmit sensing data at different times. For example, the first terminal can transmit sensing data to the computing device (100) at 00:30, the second terminal can transmit sensing data to the computing device (100) at 00:27, and the third terminal can transmit sensing data to the computing device (100) at 00:46. However, if sensing data is acquired at different times, the reference value for determining pipe integrity by the computing device (100) may differ. Accordingly, the computing device (100) can receive sensing data from each of the multiple terminals at a first time point (S1) by transmitting a first setting message that schedules a first reporting cycle to the multiple terminals. In other words, the computing device (100) can receive sensing data from each of the multiple terminals at the same time.
[0092] Meanwhile, according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the computing device (100) may reschedule the first reporting period. Hereinafter, an example of a method for the computing device (100) according to the present disclosure to reschedule the first reporting period is described with reference to FIG. 4.
[0093] FIG. 4 is a flowchart illustrating an example of a method for a computing device to reschedule a first reporting period according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0094] Referring to FIG. 4, the setting unit (140) can calculate a threshold value of a normal method potential corresponding to the entire piping section based on method potential values received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point (S131).
[0095] Specifically, the communication unit (130) can receive method potential values from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point. The setting unit (140) can calculate a threshold value of normal method potential based on the method potential values received from each of the plurality of terminals. According to an embodiment, the threshold value may be determined to have a value within a predetermined range.
[0096] For example, the threshold value can be determined to have a value in the range of 860 mV to 2,500 mV.
[0097] The judgment unit (110) can determine a target pipe section in which pipe integrity is calculated as an abnormal state candidate based on the method potential values and threshold values received from each of the multiple terminals at a second time point (S132).
[0098] The judgment unit (110) can determine the pipe integrity of the target pipe section associated with the terminal where a method potential value exceeding the threshold value appears among the method potential values as an abnormal state candidate.
[0099] The communication unit (130) can transmit a second setting message to at least one terminal corresponding to the abnormal state candidate to reschedule the first reporting period of the sensing data by at least one terminal corresponding to the abnormal state candidate (S133).
[0100] Specifically, the target pipe section for which pipe integrity is calculated as an abnormal state candidate may be a pipe section in which a low-grade or high-grade cathodic protection deviates from a threshold value. However, the cathodic protection potential value may temporarily show a low-grade or high-grade cathodic protection due to events such as a subway passing through. Accordingly, the communication unit (130) may transmit a second setting message to at least one terminal corresponding to the abnormal state candidate to reschedule the first reporting period of sensing data by at least one terminal. Then, based on the second reporting period according to the second setting message, the sensing data may be re-received from at least one terminal corresponding to the abnormal state candidate.
[0101] The judgment unit (110) can extract a plurality of comparison parameters related to method potential values from time series data of sensing data received according to a second reporting period that reschedules the first reporting period. Time series data may refer to data over time. The comparison parameters may include the average value of method potential values, the standard deviation value of method potential values, the maximum value among method potential values, and the minimum value among method potential values. The judgment unit (110) can extract the average value of method potential values, the standard deviation value of method potential values, the maximum value among method potential values, and the minimum value among method potential values from the time series data of the sensing data. The second reporting period may be shorter than the first reporting period.
[0102] The judgment unit (110) can determine an abnormal condition of a target piping section using a plurality of comparison parameters and threshold values.
[0103] Specifically, the judgment unit (110) can extract comparison parameters from sensing data received from a target pipe section in which pipe integrity is calculated as an abnormal state candidate. If the judgment unit (110) determines that the cathodic protection potential values included in the comparison parameters deviate from a threshold value, it can update the pipe integrity of the target pipe section from an abnormal state candidate to an abnormal state.
[0104] FIG. 5 is a graph illustrating an example of a threshold value according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. In FIG. 5, the x-axis can be understood as an axis listing the entire piping section associated with each of the plurality of terminals. In FIG. 5, the y-axis can represent the cathodic protection potential value.
[0105] Referring to FIG. 5, the computing device (100) can calculate a threshold value of the normal mode potential corresponding to the entire piping section. For example, the computing device (100) can calculate a threshold value in the range of 860 mV to 2,500 mV.
[0106] The computing device (100) can determine a target pipe section in which pipe integrity is calculated as an abnormal state candidate based on method potential values and threshold values received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point. In FIG. 5, the computing device (100) can determine the target pipe section associated with the TB1 terminal and the TB7 terminal, respectively, as an abnormal state candidate.
[0107] The computing device (100) can transmit a second setting message to the TB1 and TB7 terminals to reschedule the first reporting period of the sensing data. Accordingly, the computing device (100) can receive the sensing data again from the TB1 and TB7 terminals according to the second reporting period.
[0108] Meanwhile, according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a computing device (100) can extract at least one frequency component included in a current signal for a target pipe section. The computing device (100) can group each target pipe section into a plurality of clusters using the extracted at least one frequency component. Hereinafter, an example of a method for the computing device (100) according to the present disclosure to extract at least one frequency component is described with reference to FIG. 6.
[0109] FIG. 6 is a flowchart illustrating an example of a method for a computing device to extract at least one frequency component according to some embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0110] Referring to FIG. 6, the adjustment unit (150) of the computing device (100) can adjust a detection level to derive each frequency component included in the current signal received from the plurality of terminals using the DC voltage level and AC voltage level received from each of the plurality of terminals at a second time point (S210). A frequency component can be understood as a signal element having a frequency included in the current signal. A frequency component may include a low frequency component, a high frequency component, and multiple frequencies. A detection level can be understood as a reference value for deriving the frequency component.
[0111] Specifically, the communication unit (130) can receive a DC voltage level and an AC voltage level from each of a plurality of terminals at a second time point after a first time point. The adjustment unit (150) can adjust the detection level using the DC voltage level and the AC voltage level.
[0112] For example, the adjustment unit (150) can determine the detection level by multiplying the average value of the DC voltage levels received from each of the plurality of terminals by a preset coefficient. The adjustment unit (150) can determine the detection level by multiplying the average value of the AC voltage levels received from each of the plurality of terminals by a preset coefficient.
[0113] As another example, the adjustment unit (150) can determine the detection level by multiplying the minimum value among the DC voltage levels received from each of the plurality of terminals by a preset coefficient. The adjustment unit (150) can determine the detection level by multiplying the minimum value among the AC voltage levels received from each of the plurality of terminals by a preset coefficient.
[0114] As another example, the adjustment unit (150) can determine the detection level by multiplying the maximum value among the DC voltage levels received from each of the plurality of terminals by a preset coefficient. The adjustment unit (150) can determine the detection level by multiplying the maximum value among the AC voltage levels received from each of the plurality of terminals by a preset coefficient.
[0115] The frequency detection unit (160) can extract at least one frequency component included in the current signal for the target pipe section by removing an offset signal determined according to the detection level from the current signal (S220). The offset signal can be understood as a signal component representing a constant voltage difference from the voltage according to the detection level. The offset signal can be understood as a signal for removing current signals that do not reach the detection level. The frequency detection unit (160) can extract at least one frequency component by removing an offset signal determined according to the detection level from the current signal.
[0116] For example, it can be assumed that the detection level is determined to be 0.3V. An offset signal may be generated to remove a current signal having an amplitude higher than the detection level in order to extract a low-frequency component. If the current signal contains a low-frequency component with an amplitude of 0.2V and a high-frequency component with an amplitude of 0.5V, the frequency detection unit (160) can extract the low-frequency component by removing the offset signal in which the high-frequency component appears from the current signal.
[0117] As another example, it can be assumed that the detection level is determined to be 0.3V. An offset signal may be generated to remove a current signal having an amplitude lower than the detection level in order to extract a high-frequency component. If the current signal contains a low-frequency component with an amplitude of 0.2V and a high-frequency component with an amplitude of 0.5V, the frequency detection unit (160) can extract the high-frequency component by removing the offset signal in which the low-frequency component appears from the current signal.
[0118] When at least one frequency component is extracted, the clustering unit (170) can group each target pipe section into multiple clusters. Hereinafter, an example of a method for the clustering unit (170) to group each target pipe section into multiple clusters will be described with reference to FIG. 7.
[0119] FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating an example of a method in which a clustering unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure groups each target pipe section into a plurality of clusters.
[0120] Referring to FIG. 7, the clustering unit (170) of the computing device (100) can divide each target pipe section corresponding to a plurality of terminals into a first pipe group and a second pipe group, respectively, depending on whether the current signal sensed in each target pipe section contains a frequency component greater than or equal to a threshold frequency (S310).
[0121] Specifically, the setting unit (140) can pre-set a threshold frequency. The threshold frequency may be a value for classifying harmonic components. The clustering unit (170) can classify target pipe sections containing frequency components greater than or equal to the threshold frequency from current signals sensed in each target pipe section into a first pipe group.
[0122] For example, it can be assumed that the fundamental frequency is 60Hz and the threshold frequency is 120Hz. The clustering unit (170) can classify target pipe sections containing frequency components of 120Hz or higher from the current signals sensed in each target pipe section into a first pipe group.
[0123] As another example, it can be assumed that the fundamental frequency is 60Hz and the threshold frequency is 120Hz. The clustering unit (170) can classify target pipe sections that do not contain frequency components of 120Hz or higher from the current signals sensed in each target pipe section into a second pipe group.
[0124] As another example, it can be assumed that the fundamental frequency is 60Hz and the threshold frequency is 180Hz. The clustering unit (170) can classify target pipe sections containing frequency components of 180Hz or higher from the current signals sensed in each target pipe section into a first pipe group.
[0125] The clustering unit (170) can group each target pipe section into multiple clusters based on the cathodic protection current density analysis result, cathodic protection potential analysis result and alternating current analysis result for each of the first pipe group and the second pipe group (S320).
[0126] The cathodic protection current density analysis result may be the result of analyzing the cathodic protection current density for each of the entire pipe sections determined by the judgment unit (110). The cathodic protection current density analysis result may include the average value of the cathodic protection current density and the standard deviation value of the cathodic protection current density for each of the entire pipe sections.
[0127] The cathodic protection potential analysis result may be the result of analyzing the cathodic protection potential for each of the entire pipe sections determined by the judgment unit (110). The cathodic protection potential analysis result may include the average cathodic protection potential value, the cathodic protection potential standard deviation value, and the cathodic protection potential range for each of the entire pipe sections.
[0128] The AC current analysis result may be the result of analyzing the AC current for each of the entire pipe sections determined by the judgment unit (110). The AC current analysis result may include the average AC value and the AC current standard deviation value for each of the multiple pipe sections.
[0129] The clustering unit (170) can group each target pipe section into multiple clusters based on the cathodic protection current density analysis results, cathodic protection potential analysis results, and alternating current analysis results for each of the first pipe group and the second pipe group.
[0130] The monitoring unit (180) can perform monitoring for each of the multiple clusters (S330). The monitoring unit (180) can perform monitoring for each of the multiple clusters and obtain time-series data for each of the multiple clusters.
[0131] According to the configuration described above, the computing device (100) can group each target pipe section into multiple clusters. Based on the grouping results, the computing device (100) can determine the target pipe section to be monitored first or perform additional diagnostic procedures for each cluster. Through such clustering, the computing device (100) can increase the efficiency of pipe integrity analysis and provide a basis for identifying potential risks in advance.
[0132] FIG. 8 is a drawing for illustrating an example of a grouping result according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0133] Referring to FIG. 8, the computing device (100) can group each target pipe section into a plurality of clusters based on the cathodic protection current density analysis results, cathodic protection potential analysis results, and alternating current analysis results for each of the first pipe group and the second pipe group.
[0134] The computing device (100) can divide each target pipe section corresponding to a plurality of terminals into a first pipe group or a second pipe group based on whether it includes a frequency component greater than or equal to a threshold frequency.
[0135] The first piping group may be a group containing frequency components above a critical frequency. The first piping group may be cluster 0 and cluster 1.
[0136] According to one embodiment, the computing device (100) may determine a target pipe section in which a large number of harmonics appear as a first pipe group. The computing device (100) may determine a target pipe section in which only the fundamental frequency appears or a target pipe section in which no frequency appears as a second pipe group.
[0137] The computing device (100) can group each target pipe section included in the first pipe group based on the cathodic protection current density analysis results, cathodic protection potential analysis results, and alternating current analysis results. For example, the computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section with a relatively low cathodic protection current density as Cluster 0. The computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section with a relatively high cathodic protection current density as Cluster 1.
[0138] The second piping group may be a group that does not contain frequency components above the critical frequency. The second piping group may be cluster 2 and cluster 3.
[0139] The computing device (100) can group each target pipe section included in the first pipe group based on the cathodic protection current density analysis result, cathodic protection potential analysis result and alternating current analysis result.
[0140] For example, the computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section with a relatively low cathodic protection current density as Cluster 2. The computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section with a relatively high cathodic protection current density as Cluster 3.
[0141] As another example, the computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section where the AC current appears below a predetermined threshold as cluster 2. The computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section where the AC current appears above a predetermined threshold as cluster 3.
[0142] As another example, the computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section in which the potential difference appears below a predetermined threshold as cluster 2. The computing device (100) can classify a target pipe section in which the potential difference appears above a predetermined threshold as cluster 3.
